Hello, my name is Dora. It is nice to meet you. Like me, are you looking for a long-term relationship? Let’s explore and see if we’re a good match! I’m a happy young girl who gets along with dogs and people. Some of my interests are going for walks, playing with other dogs, self entertaining with toys and learning new things. I’m not reactive on walks and am starting to walk well on a loose leash. I love playing with toys and my foster mom says I’m very entertaining with some of my antics. I’m learning lots of commands, but they’re all new to me so I will need someone continuing to reinforce my good behavior. I have very good recall. I will stop at the corners and sit…look at me and touch are a couple of my other favorites. Meet Logan!  Logan is the sweetest, the kindest, and most heroic puppy of all time! In fact, he is a healthy and robust hero as the only survivor of Parvo out of his whole litter.  Currently weighing in at a perfect sized 30 lbs, Logan is 8 months old and adores all dogs, older kids, and even cats.  He also loves his toys, especially his pet Giraffe, Mikey, that he brings to bed and cuddles all night long with. To be fair, he loves all his toys and is very careful not to rip any. In fact, he likes to put them in a pile together before he goes out on walks discovering Denver. His foster thinks since he grew up without his siblings, sweet Logan likes to make his own pack and keeps his soft toys together so they are never lonely.  Logan is not destructive in his foster home, and picked up living in a house right away, enjoying tons of cuddles and lots of delicious training treats. Luckily this smart boy is very food motivated, so he has already learned to be a good pup indoors and out! He is still working on potty training due to being in a shelter for most of his short life, but is quick to please.  Logan also loves to go on walks and does not pull. He loves to meet humans, dogs, and cats alike. His energy level is just the right speed one would expect from a young gentleman, but he also enjoys his down time. Logan arrived to Denver from a shelter  in New Mexico, and he is more than ready for a family of his own. Given he is so courteous and cheerful, it makes him quite adaptable to most situations. I am EXCELLENT on walks, I have mastered "heel" and will walk beside my human the entire walk! My foster mom said that I put her dogs to shame with how well I do on my leash. I LOVE little dogs, I love playing tag with my foster dog brother (peekapoo) and sister (havanese). When I have encountered big dogs, I get scared and make my biggest bark possible. I don't trust big dogs yet, but hopefully I will find a friendly one that I can learn to trust. I am fully crate trained, I don't even cry when I go to bed, but I do struggle when asked to go to my crate (I need a little help with that). I am fully potty trained, and will let you know that I need to go out with a little squeak or bark. I love pedicures, my foster mom was shocked when she went to cut my nails and I just rolled over and relaxed while she did it. I am a total lover, physical touch is my love language, I will crawl onto your lap if you let me and love sitting beside my human watching the world go by. I absolutely love my walks, and my foster mom started running with me, I did 2 miles no problem yesterday on my leash! My foster mom said I would be an IDEAL running pup for someone. I am very smart and am eager to learn, I always listen and I thrive on positive reinforcement. I want to make my future parents very proud! I am very gentle with children, so far I have met and played with 3 year olds through 14 year olds. I am not skiddish, loud noises like the lawn mover, thunder and construction doesn't bother me. When I'm in the car, in my crate or home alone I calm right down if you play Calming Puppy Music on Spotify. ##2841946##

Story
Wanda is the perfect combo - the legs of a giraffe, ears of a fox, and fur highlights any hairdresser would be proud of.  She is a sweet, sweet soul who is still learning to trust and settle in. She is a little uncertain on walks but is already starting to be more curious and comfortable - we mostly Wanda around. We move slowly and give her time, and she has been braver each day.  Patience and love are all she needs to let her relax into being a puppy again. She has made large strides each and every day. She could spend all day outside, watching the squirrels and birds, sniffing flowers and rolling in the grass. Potty training is a work in progress but we have already seen improvements. Very food motivated and responsive to any redirecting her away from things. She doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body.  Don't you Wanda bring her home?! ##2841948##

Huey is a 4 year old pit/border collie mix (we think?). He is a great dog, but he does not get along with our 2 year old son and has shown anxiety around him. Yesterday he nipped and made contact with our son. We cannot ethically keep him in our home. He is a bit anxious but is such a lovable guy. He is an active boy, loves to run and play as much as possible. He is also a snuggle bug. Loves rubs and attention and will follow you anywhere. He is kennel and house trained and up to date with vaccines. He would do well in a home without young children or cats as he tried to herd our cats and needed to be kept separate. Older kids and teens are fine.

Mac came to rescue as a puppy last summer with his three siblings, Dee, Dennis, and Charlie. All three of them were adopted promptly, but somehow Mac is still waiting for his turn. His siblings looked more like German Shepherd mixes, but Mac took a different direction. At just 36 lbs, he looks more like a Border Collie/Heeler mix and is a great medium size. Mac is a happy, easygoing boy who is very low maintenance and doesn't need constant attention or entertainment. He's great with other dogs and with cats and is perfectly content just being part of everyday life. After watching all three of his siblings leave for homes of their own, it's time for Mac to finally get his.
