Clementine is a wonderful girl who's seeking a committed home and family to take good care of her and love her for the rest of her life. She appears to be a herding breed mix, maybe Border Collie mix but doesn't have the "busy life" characteristics of a border collie. She was found as a stray in Tacoma and owners never found. She had severe itching and bald spots when we got her, and it's cleared up with some meds and TLC. It was due to overabundance of yeast all over her. She just needs a lower carb diet to keep the yeast away; like Merrick, Taste of the Wild or Orijin to name a few. She's a quiet girl, good on leash and loves to explore. She is crate trained and has shown good house manners. We are requiring a securely fenced yard for this girl, no exceptions. Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented. I rescued a big girl in Eastern WA but her predator drive is too strong to integrate into our pack with small cats and dogs. I am looking to rehome her, and found your website trying to find people who would understand her? Her history: 2 yo, boarder collie/lab/Pyrenees mix? She is already spayed and up to date on her shots. She’s mostly lived outside for her whole life but is really enjoying being inside. Great guard dog- she is big. Cons: She cannot be around small dogs. She can be food/toy/bone possessive. She is an alpha female. Pros: She is so calm and sweet. Very praise motivated. She is so amazingly good with my kids. Really paying attention to them, herding them gently and as soon as she hears a cry or or disruption she is racing over to make it better. I’ve got her responding to Sit, Stay, down, come and Leave it Commands and she is doing really well. She absolutely LOVES people!!! Super praise motivated and smart!
