Story
Location - in a foster home. From his foster parent:If I`m home, he does whatever I`m doing and follows me around to see what`s going on. He also loves looking out the window or sitting on the deck to watch the world go by. He is very aware of everything that is going on nearby. He appreciates frequent play breaks, like a good game of fetch or tug-of-war. He is also down for a good midday nap. If I`m not home, he hangs out in the bathroom and I feel very comfortable leaving him alone. He doesn`t destroy things and doesn`t dig in the trash. He has excellent house manners! He does like to sleep on the bed or couch, which I also like. He can be very snuggly when sleeping at night and if it`s cold, likes to get under the covers too. Mylo is very playful and will try to sell you on a game of fetch whenever he sees the opportunity. He loves a durable stuffie and bonus if it squeaks. He also loves catching balls, tug-of-war with ropes, or working on a toy with hidden treats inside. He loves to be engaged, so any activity that keeps him active and his mind working is great. He also appreciates a good brushing session. He will even ask to be brushed if I forget to do it enough. Mylo LOVES to ride in the car and will sometimes air chomp at passing cars, which is really cute. One of the things I`ve been most impressed by with Mylo is his ability to communicate with me. Sometimes I feel like we are having actual conversations. He is so smart and will let you know when he needs or wants something. Another way he communicates is if I`m rubbing his belly and stop, he`ll hook my hand with his paw and bring it back to his belly for more scratches—so sweet. His most unique quirk is his love of pens, especially pens that click. He gets so excited every time he sees one in use and watches it so intently and with overflowing enthusiasm. It is hilarious! He also gets really excited about the rice cooker, hair dryer, and vacuum. Mylo is such a charmer with an engaging personality and a tender heart. I love him so much! The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Story
Meet Yogi! This wonderful boy has come so far! His story is amazing and we are so proud of him. Yogi was locked in a barn for the first year of his life. He never saw the sun, never touched grass, never got to meet people or other dogs. He was very shut down when he arrived and we have spent many months working with him. Slowly but surely Yogi has come out of his shell. For the past few months he has been fostered by our trainer Melissa and Yogi has made even more leaps and bounds. This boy is so so sweet, so gentle, so kind. You can't help but fall in love with him.  Here is what his trainer/foster has to say about Yogi: Yogi (AKA The Yog-Meister, Yogurt, and Yogis) is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet! At 3yrs of age, Yogi is young and energetic, requiring a fenced yard for his daily "morning run". He loves a good game of tug, works for praise, and finds physical touch to be his preferred love language.  Yogi is as loyal as they come - he puts a lot of trust into his handler and feels the most safe around them. Having been found abandoned in a horse barn, he requires someone who will be patient in guiding him when experiencing the world beyond a horse barn stall.  Yogi will do best with someone who is physically active or can meet his mental & physical needs, including someone who may be interested in participating in dog sports such as Treibball or herding trials.  Yogi co-exists peacefully with our resident dog, a 6yr female mix with moderate energy - they will take turns chasing each other in the yard, play tug, then relax in the living room together.  Yogi has a customized training plan for his walks due to the excitement he feels when cars pass - his innate drive to chase can take over in these moments.  This dear boy will do best in a home without young children. He is still easily startled. A home with a secure yard is a must.  If you’re looking for your new best friend, Yogi would be so happy to share his love with you.  Yogi is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is sponsored by a kind supporter.  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Muchacho is a young (1.5-2 YO approx.) mixed medium boy (last weighed 44 lbs, now 45-55 lbs.), with a brindle coat and the sweetest brown eyes. He is house-trained (up to 6 hours free-bird, up to 8 in crate), potty-trained, knows Sit, Paw (Shakes Hand), is working on Wait (Stay) and Gentle (touch nose, not grab with teeth). He is VERY food-motivated, a lapdog, a sous chef. Muchacho loves the girls, the gays and the theys, and warms up to the he/hims slowly. He loves to be by your side at all times, separation makes him anxious. He is a big nippy thief, of socks and shoes and kitchen towels and pillows, even if they are too big to carry. He loves playing with balls, tug of war, and destroying even the toughest toys. He is not friendly to other dogs, should be an only pet until he is socialized better. He is a handsome boy who needs a companion with more time, energy, and dedication to his training. My ex surrendered Chacho to me to rehome to a more fitting household after he left WA.

Story
Memphis is my best friend and one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. He has the happiest smile and is anything but vicious. He loves rolling around in the grass, playing ball, and getting lots of cuddles. When I rescued him almost four years ago, he had to have his front leg amputated. He has adapted incredibly well and it doesn’t impact his day-to-day life. He just needs occasional breaks on longer walks. He is very loving, affectionate, and especially good with kids. Memphis deserves a loving home where he can be part of the family, get plenty of cuddles and playtime, and continue being his goofy, happy self. He truly is an amazing dog and my best friend.

Story
Meet Dalgom – A Sweet & Social 3-Month-Old Puppy!   Name: Dalgom Age: 3 months Sex: Male Neutered: No – too young Breed: Jindo / Border Collie Mix Color: Black & White Weight: 6.4 kg (14 lbs) Height: 35 cm (13.8 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story Dalgom was found all alone in a cage near a rural reservoir, left outside under the scorching sun. Thankfully, someone spotted him and reached out for help, allowing this little puppy to be rescued and given a chance at a safe and happy life.   ‍‍ Personality & People Dalgom is an incredibly friendly and affectionate puppy who loves people! He happily approaches both familiar faces and complete strangers, rubbing against them for attention and allowing himself to be petted right away.   He is comfortable with both men and women and can easily be picked up and held. He’s so trusting that he’ll even show his belly to someone he has just met.   With Other Dogs Dalgom is just as social with dogs as he is with people. He readily approaches unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite them to play, and he gets along well with dogs both bigger and smaller than himself.   He enjoys playing with energetic dogs and generally avoids conflict if another dog tries to provoke him. He’s a happy, playful little guy who loves having canine friends.   With Cats Dalgom has not yet been observed around cats, but a cat test can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level Dalgom has a moderate puppy energy level. He enjoys being active and playing, but once he’s had his fun, he settles down nicely and rests. Like most puppies his age, he also sleeps quite a bit.   Walks Dalgom has not started regular walks yet, as he is still completing his puppy vaccinations and has currently received his second round.   Food & Other Behaviours Dalgom does not generally guard food from people or other dogs. He can usually eat peacefully around other dogs, although occasional puppy disagreements over food bowls can happen. He does not initiate conflict, but may respond if another dog challenges him.   He currently whines quite a bit when placed in a crate, so he is being introduced to crate training gradually and positively.   House Training Dalgom currently uses indoor pee pads and is also able to eliminate outdoors. As he is only 3 months old, his house-training skills are still developing.   Ideal Home Dalgom is a young puppy with a wonderfully social, affectionate nature and lots of growing and learning ahead of him. He would do best with a family ready to continue his puppy training, socialization, leash training, and crate training with patience and consistency.   If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly little companion who loves both people and dogs, Dalgom may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Meet Kongi – A Quiet Soul with a Gentle Heart    Name: Kongi Age: 4 years Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Border Collie Mix Color: Black & White Weight: 12.5 kg (27.5 lbs) Height: 48 cm (19 in)   Kongi is the loving mother of Haeon and Jaban, who have already found their forever homes in Canada. On February 26, 2025, Kongi was rescued after being found chained up in an industrial area where she had given birth to her puppies. Despite her difficult past, she has grown into a gentle, affectionate dog who is now ready to find a family of her own.    People Kongi can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but she’s easily won over with treats and warms up quickly. She isn’t fearful of strangers—she simply has a calm, independent personality and doesn’t immediately shower everyone with affection. Once she trusts you, however, she’s incredibly sweet and affectionate.   She is currently living with a boy under the age of 13 and the two are best friends. She’s comfortable being gently picked up with an arm under her belly and happily rolls over to show her tummy to the people she loves.    With Other Dogs Kongi is polite and social with other dogs. She enjoys greeting them but rarely chooses to play, preferring to mind her own business. She tends to feel intimidated by dogs much larger than herself but is friendly with dogs of a similar size. Even when another dog acts rudely, Kongi usually chooses to walk away instead of reacting.    With Cats When she sees cats on walks, she’s curious but easily redirects her attention and follows her handler without any issues.    Energy Level Kongi has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but once she’s had her exercise, she’s happy to relax quietly at home.    Walking Kongi can pull on the leash at times, but she’s attentive to her handler and is gentle enough to be walked by children. She does have a sensitive side and may freeze or lie down when something scares her. Busy roads with heavy traffic can sometimes make her nervous.    More About Kongi   Fully outdoor potty trained. Very quiet and rarely barks. Calm and well-behaved in a crate. Can jump in and out of the car by herself.   Kongi doesn’t guard food from people, but she may give a warning growl if another dog approaches while she’s eating. She has never shown aggression.    She experiences motion sickness and may drool or vomit during longer rides.   Kongi is the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention—she quietly earns your heart. She’s gentle, loyal, thoughtful, and incredibly rewarding once you’ve earned her trust. After spending her life caring for her puppies, it’s finally Kongi’s turn to be someone’s beloved family member.
