Story
Milo is an energetic and affectionate Border Collie mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. True to his breed, he’s active, alert, and always ready for the next adventure. He absolutely loves walks and playtime, and he would thrive with someone who enjoys being outdoors and keeping him mentally and physically engaged. He already knows how to sit and will willingly go into his kennel when asked. He tolerates baths well and handles routine care without much fuss. One thing to know about him is that he is very food-motivated — in fact, food is his favorite thing in the world. He will spend a good part of his day sniffing, searching, and trying to find snacks wherever he can. Because of this, he’ll need a home that can securely store food, keep counters clear, and help him continue learning boundaries around meals and treats. With consistency and training, his strong food drive can actually be a wonderful tool for teaching him new skills.

Story
Are you looking for a goofy and intelligent four legged pal? Mylo may fit the bill. With a big heart, a sharp mind, and an enthusiasm for life that’s hard to resist, this guy is ready for his adoptive home. Smart, affectionate, and endlessly loyal, he’s ready to be your running partner, your ride-or-die copilot riding shotgun, and your very best friend.Mylo thrives with activity and loves having a job to do and is always eager to please. He loves car rides, happily hopping in for an adventure. When not riding shotgun, Mylo most likely can be found playing with a tennis ball or stuffie. When playtime is over, he’s just as happy settling in for couch snuggles and quiet companionship. He forms deep bonds with his people, enjoys being brushed, and is respectful in the home. The Seattle Animal Shelter is committed to reducing length of stay for all of our shelter pets! Story
Meet Yogi! This wonderful boy has come so far! His story is amazing and we are so proud of him. Yogi was locked in a barn for the first year of his life. He never saw the sun, never touched grass, never got to meet people or other dogs. He was very shut down when he arrived and we have spent many months working with him. Slowly but surely Yogi has come out of his shell. For the past few months he has been fostered by our trainer Melissa and Yogi has made even more leaps and bounds. This boy is so so sweet, so gentle, so kind. You can't help but fall in love with him.  Here is what his trainer/foster has to say about Yogi: Yogi (AKA The Yog-Meister, Yogurt, and Yogis) is the sweetest boy you'll ever meet! At 3yrs of age, Yogi is young and energetic, requiring a fenced yard for his daily "morning run". He loves a good game of tug, works for praise, and finds physical touch to be his preferred love language.  Yogi is as loyal as they come - he puts a lot of trust into his handler and feels the most safe around them. Having been found abandoned in a horse barn, he requires someone who will be patient in guiding him when experiencing the world beyond a horse barn stall.  Yogi will do best with someone who is physically active or can meet his mental & physical needs, including someone who may be interested in participating in dog sports such as Treibball or herding trials.  Yogi co-exists peacefully with our resident dog, a 6yr female mix with moderate energy - they will take turns chasing each other in the yard, play tug, then relax in the living room together.  Yogi has a customized training plan for his walks due to the excitement he feels when cars pass - his innate drive to chase can take over in these moments.  This dear boy will do best in a home without young children. He is still easily startled. A home with a secure yard is a must.  If you’re looking for your new best friend, Yogi would be so happy to share his love with you.  Yogi is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is sponsored by a kind supporter.  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
Panda is a very playful dog. She is the sort of dog that doesn’t let other dogs play. She is smart and eager to please. A lot of work has gone into rehabilitating her after she was abused as a puppy. She is crate trained. The reason that she has to find a home where she can be the only pet is because she doesn’t listen to boundaries that the other pets in the house lay down, and there is concern for that leading to injuries.

Story
We have had Kia for about five years. She was originally acquired for our older child, who moved out a while back. We are looking for a loving new home where Kia can receive the time, attention, and care she deserves. Kia is a good dog with a kind heart. She would do well in a home that can provide her with companionship, regular exercise, and affection. She is healthy, active, and disciplined. She has been a wonderful part of our family, and this decision has not been easy. We are looking for a responsible and caring family who will give Kia a safe and loving forever home.

Story
Hi… I’m Lulu. Not long ago, I was just another name on a list — a list that meant my story might end before it ever really began. I hadn’t felt what a home was like yet, and I hadn’t learned what it meant to truly belong to someone. But I was given a second chance, and now I’m standing at the door of a brand-new life… maybe with you. I’m a bright, happy girl with lots of energy and an even bigger curiosity about the world. I love to move, to learn, and to play — every day feels exciting to me. I make dog friends quickly and genuinely enjoy playing with them, and I tend to warm up to people pretty fast too. If you meet me, I’ll probably come say hello with a wagging tail and sparkling eyes. Since I’m a Border Collie mix, I’m a smart cookie. I pay close attention to your voice, your expressions, and your energy, always trying to understand what you’re asking of me. I’m still just 10 months old though — basically a big puppy! Sometimes my energy bubbles over and I might get a little silly, but I’m learning house rules and how to become the best companion I can be. And I promise you — I’m ready to learn. I’ve never truly had a home of my own. I don’t yet know what it feels like to curl up in “my” spot, to go on daily walks with “my” person, or to fall asleep each night knowing I am completely safe and loved. But if you choose me, I’ll learn all of that with you. I’ll learn that this is my home, that I am loved, and that I finally belong. If you’re a family who enjoys an active life and wants to spend time training, playing, and growing together… if you’re patient and excited to watch a young dog blossom into her best self… I will be your most loyal friend. I was once a dog waiting for my life to end. Now, I’m a dog waiting for my forever family. Could that be you? 🐾
