Bear was found in an empty apartment that had been evicted he was hungry severally underweight and just sad. He’s the sweetest dog but does not get along with cats like at all. I happen to have two sphinx cats that I have to protect first or we would keep him honestly he’s great around kids great on walks. Keep meal time separate from other animals and I wouldn’t leave any food laying around as he will get it he’s tall enough to reach counters. He needs someone who patient and can continue to train him. He’s been seen by a vet and dog trainer

Bowser came to me from a friend that moved and could not take Bowser with him. I agreed to foster Bowser until I could rehome the dog. Bowser is still a puppy about 9 months old. He has an abundance of puppy energy. Bowser wants to be a good boy! He just needs a good home and someone one to put the polish on his training and manners. Bowser is potty trained and crate trained. Bowser likes leash walks, and is very social with people and other dogs on these walks. Bowser has been to the dog park many times, but sometimes wants to play too hard with small and/or timid dogs. Bowser seems to enjoy the water as well. Bowser has had no direct contact with babies or little kids, city chickens or other livestock. So unfortunately I cannot provide any information about this. At this age of puppyhood, Bowser needs plenty of chew toys at all times. I am confident that Bowser will make a dedicated companion for the right person or family.

Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. This is Benji. He was given to us when he was only a few months old in 2021 by a family friend whose dog had puppies. We know for sure he is half pitbull but his other half is an unknown mixed breed. He is a really sweet and smart boy. He loves people! He has been good with other dogs as well, but hasn’t experienced living with any other dogs or pets. We are looking for someone who has the time to give him the attention and care he needs. He loves walks but would struggle with tugging on leash. He spends a lot of time outside, so access to a park or a big yard is also important for him. He LOVES playing fetch! He knows lots of cute little tricks too.
