We had the opportunity to rescue Graham when one of our great fosters heard about him, fell in love, and asked us for help. We're so glad we did! Poor Graham was living in the worst conditions and was in poor physical condition. He was starving, practically just skin and bones, and he tested positive for heart worms. Thankfully, through some TLC and vet care, he's much healthier and happier. Understandably, Graham is pretty shy and hesitant with new people. Once he gets to know you and feels comfortable in his surroundings, though, his personality starts to shine through. Graham is a graduate of the Coyote Ridge Dog Training Program. This program helps shelter and rescue dogs build the skills, confidence, and good manners they need to thrive in a forever home. Through positive training and individualized attention, the dogs work to develop better leash manners, improve their response to basic cues, and practice behaviors that make everyday life with a family more successful. The program helps showcase each dog’s unique personality, progress, and potential, giving you, the prospective adopter a glimpse of the wonderful companion waiting to be discovered. Welcome Honey to CCPAL foster Program. Honey is a 3 year old Boxer mixed dog. She is potty trained. We think Honey survived the flood in Kerrville. A good samaritan has taken her in and is giving her good nutrition and love until we find her forever home. She was really scratched up and had a wound on her front left leg. She will be spayed soon and she is going to the vet again for a follow up on her leg. Our guess is it may have gotten broken and healed back on it’s own due to what she has gone through. She is good on a leash, very loving and bonds deeply. She lives with 5 cats right now but she is much too interested and we feel her best home would be without cats. She loves all people and no one is a stranger. She is good with dogs her size and is an energetic girl. Her best home would be with an active and ourdoorsy family that wants a great companion to join them in their outdoor fun. She is looking wonderful and filling out nicely in her new foster home. She lost some muscle around her bum area due to the length of time she was without food. Despite this, she would make an amazing family pet. She would love to be the only dog and be the center of her families attention. She weighs about 40 pounds and is a taller dog but medium weight. She is great in a car and would make a great dog in settings where lots of people are around. She is lower in shedding. She will be getting spayed soon and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Momma pittie "Chicken". shorty, sweet and cuddly. All her puppies have gone on to their homes now it's momma's turn. She loves toys, squeaky ones are the best. Give her good scritches and get the trademark pittie smile and wiggle butt. :) Chicken would prefer an all female household or with a very patient/calm male. She is a little afraid and reactive to men. Chicken would do best in a home with another calm confident dog or on her own. She is great on leash. Potty trained, crate trained. She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
