I love to give kisses, go on walks and cuddle in bed. I really don't care to be completely alone so a person who is home more often than not would be my favorite. My dirty little secret is that I would really like to get to know rabbits and squirrels up close and personal. I mean they are moving pretty quick and I want to know WHY!?! What’s the rush anyway? I am a mellow dude 99% of the time, so can you really blame me for being curious about things that move fast and smell yummy? I enjoy other dogs from a distance, yet they are too busy for my personal taste and am too old to be jumped on like a teenager. I like people, although no over the top petting for me please, it feels weird, my chin is a better scratch spot, and I don't see 2 legged people greeting each other like that, so why me? Stuffies are great, I like meals and snacks although my foster pops says I could use a bit less enjoyment on the food, sheesh, kind of a drag. Bubba 2 yo male Boxer/Pug/AST Requires another dog in home Learning to walk on leash Not fond of the crate Fostered in Camas, WA Hello, my name is Bubba.  I can't remember much about my early life, but I do remember being lost, on my own to fend for myself for months.  Some great people finally caught me and sent me to NW Boxer Rescue where I could begin the long journey of learning to trust people, and learn how to just be a dog. According to my DNA test, I am quite the mix.  Boxer, Pug and American Staffordshire Terrier.  It took me a few days to warm up to the humans in my foster home, but now I follow my foster Momma everywhere.  My most favorite thing though is my foster brother and sister.  I have learned so much from them, and they make me feel safe.  For this reason I do require another dog in the home.  I had a rough start in life, so I need a home where my humans are very patient and will take the time to teach me that I have nothing to fear. From Bubba's foster Mom:  The ideal family would consist of experienced dog owener/trainer who already have a pack of dogs who are patient, energetic and don’t mind playing with a goofy, uncoordinated dog with poorly developed social skills. He’s a sweetheart who wants lots of love, but he needs to be active and needs to be watched until he learns some manners. Bugsy 3 yo male Prefers to be only dog or with a very mellow older girl Fostered in Richland, WA Hi, I'm Bugsy..as in Bugsy Malone the Gansta. Haha. Actually I'm a sweet shy boy. I have a little bit of stranger danger but once I figure out you are a good person then we can become friends. As your new best friend you should know a few things about me according to my foster mom. I'm pretty quiet and hardly ever bark. I'm love to play and take leisure walks. Im still working on my confidence so you'll need to be patient with me and help me learn to trust. But Foster Mom says I'm getting better each day. She also says I am more cat like with my silly play as I love to chase shadows...even my own. I also have fun playing with a ball and I'm figuring out this frisbee toy. I do great zoomies but not too many as I like to relax. I also sleep really good all night in my crate without a sound...well except for maybe a little snoring..at least that is what mom says. I am good about crating up when mom has to go somewhere and I can't go. But I do ride so good in the car and wait patiently if mom has to run in the store..(as long as she's not too long). Rocco 3 yo male 70 lbs Leash Trained No Dogs No Children under 15 Fostered in Lake Stevens, WA Hello, nice to meet you.  I am Rocco. My life before rescue wasn't great. I was dumped out of a car in CA and left to fend for myself.  Thankfuly a nice lady saw this occur and contacted some special people to help get me.  I was only on my own for 3-4 days, but boy were they scary and cold. I have some trust issues due to my past, so it takes me a while to realize that people aren't going to hurt me.  For this reason, I need a nice quiet home, with a very dog savvy person.  I do not like being forced, yelled at or manhandled, it really, really scares me. I really don't like when someone tries to grab me by my collar, super scary.  I think they are going to hurt me.   I have an tendency to warm up to men quicker than woman.  I love to give hugs, and I love to go for walks.  I am not fond of the crate at all, and prefer to either be sequestered to a safe place in the house or placed in a tall square run when you are not home. Rocco needs a kind, but firm, confident owner that will allow him to decompress, learn to trust humans again, and willo not push him into scary situations, but will guide him.
