Loving Cat Looking for a New Home ❤️ We are looking to rehome our beloved cat due to relocation, as unfortunately we are unable to take her with us. She has been a dear part of our family since she was just 3 months old, and finding her a loving home is very important to us. She is not much of a huggy or cuddly cat, but she loves to sit beside you and sleep near her person. She enjoys playing hide-and-seek and loves to play catch. 🐾 She may need at least a week to adjust to a new home and new people. However, once she feels comfortable and safe, she becomes a wonderful, sweet, and pleasant companion. She is very clean, fully litter-trained, and absolutely loves treats! ❤️ We hope to find her a caring and patient home where she will be loved and given time to settle in.

Caspian is a handsome young cat, gray with a white chest and beautiful mustard-colored eyes. In mid-May of this year, he appeared in front of my house wanting to eat the food I give to stray cats. I started feeding him regularly to gain his trust, and from day one, his behavior was friendly and very affectionate. I practice the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program in my area, which means I trap stray cats to neuter them and then release them to live out the rest of their lives. If they are friendly, I put them up for adoption. Caspian is already neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. I've had him for two weeks now and have found him to be a very affectionate, playful, and energetic cat. He loves to jump, play with his wand toy and has a big appetite. He lets me pick him up, brush his fur, and pet him! I am looking for a committed and responsible family to give Caspian the love, affection and safe home he deserves.

John (~DOB 9/2020, male, black DSH) John was a kitten found in Waukegan behind a nursing home with his siblings. They were being fed a diet that mostly consisted of French fries. They were caught at about 3 months old and took a bit of time to warm up to humans while they also started getting healthier. John and his sister Chrissy were won over with a lot of chicken baby food. John took a little longer than his sister Chrissy to socialize to humans, but now he is doing absolutely wonderful in his foster home. He can even be picked up and held for short periods of time. He is fairly vocal, especially at meal times, and can get a bit sassy then as well. He sometimes nips his foster mom’s leg in passing, but never hard. He has learned to like to be petted on his head and back, even all the way down his tail. But pet him for too long or try to get his belly and he will swat you (claws retracted) like “what do you think you’re doing?!” He sometimes grabs at legs as they pass by, but this seems to be more playful energy. He is also becoming a morning bathroom buddy! He enjoys chasing balls in tracks and cat dancers. He likes climbing cat towers, sleeping on the back of couches, and staring out windows. He sometimes comes when he is called and fingers are rubbed together. He enjoys the company of other cats, and we encourage an adopter who has cats in their home to ease his transition. We do not think he would be good in a loud home or one with young children or dogs. His transition will likely take time, but a good way to earn his trust is with food, especially chicken baby food!
