Story
Coral is a silky gray cat from the streets of Hanover Park. She is a sweet but very shy cat. She enjoys string toys, her giant spiral and has a very quick paw if you move too fast. She likes to be pet but in very short bursts and will approach carefully to get them. Coral doesn’t meow much, but her purr is very soothing. She is a huge fan of Churu treats and will become fast friends with you if you have one. She is a stretchy girl and loves to stretch & scratch on her palm tree. She is more suited for a family that is looking for a friend for their cat to keep them company, or for older adults that do not like picking up cats. Coral is not one to snuggle with humans but is a great snuggle buddy to other kitties!Almost Home`s Adoption Requirements:Be at least 21 years of ageHave the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the householdHave approval from owner of residence (written in lease)Have a valid ID with current addressBe approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home FoundationBe ready to make a lifetime commitmentLive in the suburbs surrounding Chicago (Illinois Residents only)Pass a veterinarian reference check for current and past pets.Adoption payment cash, check or Zelle onlyIf you are interested in Coral, please email cats@almosthomefoundation.org or complete an online adoption application at www.almosthomefoundation.org.*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, checks, or Zelle for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Hi, I’m Libby—short for Liberty! I’m a gray-and-white young lady with a cute black nose and an even cuter personality. I found my way to my foster home through their shed, where I chose to safely bring four beautiful kittens into the world.I’m a very affectionate girl who absolutely loves back scratches, ear massages, and tummy rubs (please don’t forget the tummy rubs—they’re my favorite!). I currently live with Archie, a sweet 2-year-old Havanese. I wasn’t too sure about dogs at first, but Archie has shown me what a kind canine companion can be, and now I really enjoy having him around—especially because he helps keep an eye on my kittens.I’m searching for a forever home filled with love, cozy spots, and plenty of attention. My foster parents adore me—they’d keep me if they could—so they’re hoping I find someone who will love me just as much as they do. If you’re looking for affection, loyalty, and a gentle little sweetheart to share your life with, look no further.Almost Home`s Adoption Requirements:Be at least 21 years of ageHave the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the householdHave approval from owner of residence (written in lease)Have a valid ID with current addressBe approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home FoundationBe ready to make a lifetime commitmentLive in the suburbs surrounding Chicago (Illinois Residents only)Pass a veterinarian reference check for current and past pets.Adoption payment cash, check or Zelle onlyIf you are interested in Heidi, please complete an online adoption application at https://almosthomefoundation.org/adopt/adopt-a-cat/ or email cats@almosthomefoundation.org.*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, checks, or Zelle for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Hi, I’m Daphne! I may be the tiniest of my four siblings, but I make up for it with a big, gentle heart. I’m a soft, all-gray kitten who loves to curl up in a cozy lap and quietly watch the world around me.Most of the time, I’m a calm little companion, but I do enjoy playful moments with my kitten siblings—and even with the family dog! I currently live with a sweet 2-year-old Havanese, and we get along great. I’d love a forever home with other pets—cats, dogs, or both. I’m easygoing, affectionate, and happiest when I’m near the people (and animals!) I love. If you’re looking for a sweet, peaceful little friend, I hope you’ll choose me.Almost Home adopts kittens under 6 months of age in pairs, as kittens that young are not fully socialized and need a same/similar-age playmate in order not to become a nuisance to family members—including other pets in the home. Adopting kittens in pairs allows them to complete the kitty socialization process, learn good kitty manners, and have a playmate so their humans can sleep at night. We consider adopting single kittens to applicants who have another young kitty under 1 year of age, provided the applicant’s kitten is up to date on all age-appropriate vetting.Almost Home`s Adoption Requirements:* Be at least 21 years of age* Have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household* Have written approval from owner of residence* Have a valid government-issued photo ID with current address* Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Almost Home Foundation* Be ready to make a lifetime commitment* Live in the greater Chicagoland area (Illinois residents only)* Pass a veterinarian reference check for current and past petsIf you are interested in Daphne, please complete an online adoption application at https://almosthomefoundation.org/adopt/adopt-a-cat/ or email cats@almosthomefoundation.org.*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash, checks, or Zelle for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Hi, I’m Spot! I’m a handsome white-and-gray boy with two cute gray patches on my head—that’s how my foster family picked my name. I’m one of four kittens, and I love being part of the action. I’m a total little shadow—I’ll follow you around the house, hoping for playtime, snuggles, and especially belly rubs. I have lots of energy, so you’ll often find me jumping, climbing my scratching post, or looking for my next adventure.I also love playing with my foster family’s Havanese, so I’d do great in a home with a canine friend and feline friend. If you’re looking for an energetic, affectionate kitten who wants to be wherever you are, I think we’d make the perfect match!Almost Home adopts kittens under 6 months of age in pairs, as kittens that young are not fully socialized and need a same/similar-age playmate in order not to become a nuisance to family members—including other pets in the home. Story
Hi there! I’m Khajitt — a curious, cuddly kitty who loves to play and snuggle in equal measure. My favorite things include watching the critters outside the window, napping in my cat tree, and curling up in a warm lap for a nap.I get along great with kids! I love chasing the laser light, running through my tunnel, and playing in my hammock (my brother, Pochocco, is especially funny when he joins in). Water fascinates me! I like to splash in my bowl or watch the faucet drip, and sometimes I “hunt” my little toys and drop them into my water bowl — I think it’s pretty clever. When it’s treat time, we have a special talent — we can make a Churu disappear in seconds! When I’m feeling extra affectionate, I like to give sweet little nose bops to show my love. I’m playful, gentle, and full of purrs, and I can’t wait to find a forever home where I can share all my favorite things — and lots of love — with you.Almost Home adopts kittens under 6 months of age in pairs, as kittens that young are not fully socialized and need a same/similar-age playmate in order not to become a nuisance to family members—including other pets in the home. Story
Moonie is a gorgeous tabby with the softest fur and a heart full of love. She’s the kind of cat who wants to be your one and only — no other cats needed, just you. Moonie loves to curl up near you, watch the world go by from a sunny window, and remind you when it’s salmon o’clock (her favorite treat, obviously). Because of my busy schedule, I can’t give her the consistent time and attention she truly deserves. She’s such a loving cat who thrives on affection and companionship, and I want her to have someone who can give her that every day. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle, and low-drama cat who just wants to love and be loved, Moonie will fill your home — and your heart — with warmth.
