Selene and Thea are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Hi, I'm Selene! I may let my sister Thea say hello first, but don't let that fool you. I just like to make sure everything is safe before I jump into the fun. Give me a little time, and soon I'll be asking for pets, climbing into your lap, and making sure I get just as many cuddles as Thea does! My favorite person is definitely my sister. We race after string toys, chase laser pointers, explore every corner of the room, and when we're all worn out, we snuggle together for a cozy kitten nap. We've been side by side from the beginning, and we'd love to keep it that way. I'm gentle, playful, friendly with children and other cats, enjoy being brushed, and I have excellent litter box manners. Loud noises aren't really my thing, but a calm home with lots of love sounds absolutely perfect. Like Thea, I tested positive for FeLV. It's important to know that a positive test in a young kitten doesn't always tell the whole story. Some kittens test positive after early exposure from their mother, and while many remain FeLV-positive, others can clear the infection over time. FeLV-positive cats deserve loving families just like every other cat. We need to live indoors, and our adopters should understand our diagnosis, but it doesn't stop us from playing, loving, purring, or filling a home with happiness. If you're hoping to adopt not just one kitten but a ready-made friendship, Thea and I would love to spend our lives making your home a little brighter, a little sillier, and a whole lot more cuddly.

Story
Hi, I’m Gaia — a 6-year-old white and gray tabby with a gentle spirit, a soft heart, and a surprisingly playful side. My life hasn’t always been easy. I came in as a stray kitten through Skokie Animal Control and have been adopted and returned twice, never because of anything I did wrong, but because life threw some hard situations at the people who loved me. Through it all, I’ve stayed sweet, calm, and hopeful that my real forever home is still out there. Right now, I’m on a positive health journey. I’m working on losing weight and getting stronger, and I’m doing great with the extra TLC I’m receiving. I’m on a prescription diet to help prevent bladder stones, and with consistency and care, I’m feeling better every day. I can be a little shy at first and do best with calm, deliberate movements, sudden surprises aren’t really my thing. But once I trust you? Oh, I trust you. I love pets, brushing, being picked up, and yes… I am absolutely a lap cat. I’m also famous in my foster home for dramatically flopping over and rolling onto my back for belly rubs, sometimes directly in your path, just to make sure you don’t miss the opportunity. I’m playful and engaged, especially when it comes to wand toys, laser toys (the kind with fun shapes!), glitter balls, and anything involving catnip. Interactive play is my favorite, and I’ll happily chase, pounce, and then settle in close for some quiet companionship. I’m looking for a peaceful, loving home with someone patient and kind. A person who understands that a shy hello can turn into deep affection and a whole lot of belly rub requests. If you’re looking for a low-key, loving companion with a playful streak and a heart of gold, I’d really love to meet you. With love, Gaia 💛

Story
Eileen and Wally are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Hello! My name is Eileen, and when I first arrived from the feral cat community with my two brothers, we had three basic rules: 1) loud noise? RUN; 2) sudden movement? RUN; 3) Human? RUN FASTER! But I started doing a little research and became increasingly convinced that indoor life ~ with its humans and all ~ is a pretty sweet deal. So I decided to give my foster mom a chance and I’m now certifiably friendly, playful and curious! Oh, and adorable. My brother Wally took longer to convince, though. He’s still a little bit afraid of people when he first meets them, so I’ve promised to be his best friend, security blanket and official ambassador to the human race ~ all wrapped up into one! Our perfect home will be filled with patient people who understand that Wally may not become a lap cat on day two. (or possibly day 22. Wally refuses to commit to a timeline.) Or will he? I mean, he's been making such amazing progress! Either way, I’ll be right there showing him the ropes and cheering him on. You bring the patience. I’ll bring the personality!

Story
Greta is an active older kitten and would do best in a home with another active feline companion. Greetings, I'm Greta Garbo. My foster family says I have a gift for making myself comfortable absolutely anywhere. A sunny patch on the floor? Perfect. A cozy blanket? Wonderful. A purse sitting unattended? That's apparently an excellent place for a nap, too. I'm a friendly, easygoing older kitten who enjoys people, pets, and plenty of playtime. Like all of my littermates I love chasing small toys, especially bottle caps and other tiny treasures that can skitter across the floor. Every day feels like a new adventure when you're a curious kitten. I enjoy being held, getting attention, and spending time with my people, but I'm also independent enough to head off on my own little explorations. One minute I'm accepting pets, and the next I'm racing off to investigate something fascinating across the room. Things I love: good food, sunny naps, playful adventures, and being around people. I've grown up with 6 littermates and find curling up together after a busy day or chasing toys side by side, I'm happiest when I have a feline companion. I'm looking for a forever family that will welcome me into their home. In return, I'll provide endless entertainment, affectionate companionship, and plenty of kitten cuteness. If you don't have a resident feline that could be my next BFF, please consider adopting me and one of my littermates, easily identified by the movie star names! With purrs, Greta Garbo

Diamonds are forever… and I’m hoping my next family will be, too. 💕 Hi, I’m Diamond, a beautiful gray tuxedo girl with a soft heart and plenty of love to give. I may have a fancy name, but what I really want is something simple: a loving person, a cozy lap, and a home where I can stay forever. I was adopted once, but sadly returned to the shelter when my adopter could no longer care for me. I’m still the same sweet girl, and I’m hoping my next chapter will finally be my forever story. I absolutely love lap time. Get me settled beside you, start petting me, and you’ll hear my purrs begin. I’ll lean right into your hand to let you know I’m enjoying every bit of your attention. I’m affectionate, gentle, and happiest when I’m spending time with my people. An adult-only home is preferred, where I can enjoy a calmer environment and lots of one-on-one affection. So, what does a girl named Diamond dream of? Nothing extravagant. Just a warm lap, loving hands, and someone who means it when they say, “forever.” Because diamonds are forever… and I’d really love for my next home to be, too. 💎🐾

Story
Mia and Gia are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Hi, I'm Mia! If you're looking for a tiny best friend with a giant heart, I think we should meet! I'm a happy, outgoing kitten who believes every day should include playtime, cuddle time, and breakfast...especially breakfast. You'll probably hear me announcing when it's time to eat because I get so excited that I can't help but meow and race out of the room! I'm the social butterfly of our sister duo. I love meeting visitors, being picked up, curling up in laps, and soaking up all the pets I can get. One of my favorite things is snuggling so close that I'll nuzzle right into your hair while I purr away. My foster mom says my purr motor hardly ever turns off, and I'm just as affectionate with her visitors as I am with her. When I'm not cuddling, I'm ready for action! I love tunnels, ball tracks, crinkle toys, kitty wrestling with my sister, and just about any toy you put in front of me. After we've worn ourselves out, you'll usually find me back in someone's lap for another cuddle session. My sister Gia and I are a bonded pair, and we're the perfect balance. I'm the confident cuddle bug, while she's a little more reserved at first. She loves to play before settling in for pets, and together we make the sweetest team. We help each other feel safe, have endless fun together, and we'd love to find a forever home where we can stay side by side. I use my litter box like a pro, enjoy both clumping and regular clay litter, and like sisal, carpeted, and vertical scratching posts. My only complaint? Nail trims. I'd much rather spend that time getting cuddles instead! If you're looking for double the love, double the purrs, and two sisters who adore each other, Gia and I can't wait to meet you!
