Story
Hi. I’m Tony. I'm only two years old. Ruggedly handsome. Ears that tell a story. A heart that’s still learning how to trust again. Let’s get this out of the way: I’m not your instant best-friend, in-your-face, “love me!!!” kind of cat. I’m more of a slow-burn, “watch from across the room and decide if you’re cool” type. But once I decide you’re good people? I melt. Completely. I arrived at my current foster home back in early November, and I wouldn’t even sit near my foster mom. Now I climb onto the couch, curl up next to her, and fall asleep on her hand because it makes me feel safe. I even sit on her lap sometimes, but only because I chose it. (It’s all about the choices.) Sudden movements still spook me a bit, but I’m working on it. I want to trust, you can see it in the way I peek around corners, inch forward, and eventually flop next to you for chin rubs and those magical head scratches. Strangers? I’ll hide at first. But give me some time and a little quiet, and I’ll come out to say hello. I even let them give me pets, which is a big deal. For me, at least. Let’s talk likes and dislikes: ✔ Love: chin scratches, head pets, brushing, cozy naps, food, curling up right against my human ✖ Nope: being picked up, fast hands, loud chaos, and anyone expecting me to be brave on day one or even after week one. I’m a simple guy, feed me morning and night, give me a scratch pad, provide me with a space I can claim as my personal property, and I’m golden. I’ll even tell you when I’m hungry. (I’m polite, but not silent.) What I want most? A calm, gentle home with one or two humans who understand that trust takes time… and that a shy cat choosing you is one of the greatest compliments in the world. No small kids, no pets, just me and you learning each other at our own pace. I promise you this: once I feel safe, once I believe you’re mine, I’ll be the sweetest, softest, most endearing boy you’ve ever met. If you’re patient, I’ll give you my whole heart. Love, Tony

Story
Hi, I’m Gaia — a 6-year-old white and gray tabby with a gentle spirit, a soft heart, and a surprisingly playful side. My life hasn’t always been easy. I came in as a stray kitten through Skokie Animal Control and have been adopted and returned twice, never because of anything I did wrong, but because life threw some hard situations at the people who loved me. Through it all, I’ve stayed sweet, calm, and hopeful that my real forever home is still out there. Right now, I’m on a positive health journey. I’m working on losing weight and getting stronger, and I’m doing great with the extra TLC I’m receiving. I’m on a prescription diet to help prevent bladder stones, and with consistency and care, I’m feeling better every day. I can be a little shy at first and do best with calm, deliberate movements, sudden surprises aren’t really my thing. But once I trust you? Oh, I trust you. I love pets, brushing, being picked up, and yes… I am absolutely a lap cat. I’m also famous in my foster home for dramatically flopping over and rolling onto my back for belly rubs, sometimes directly in your path, just to make sure you don’t miss the opportunity. I’m playful and engaged, especially when it comes to wand toys, laser toys (the kind with fun shapes!), glitter balls, and anything involving catnip. Interactive play is my favorite, and I’ll happily chase, pounce, and then settle in close for some quiet companionship. I’m looking for a peaceful, loving home with someone patient and kind. A person who understands that a shy hello can turn into deep affection and a whole lot of belly rub requests. If you’re looking for a low-key, loving companion with a playful streak and a heart of gold, I’d really love to meet you. With love, Gaia 💛

Luca and Sydney are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Hi, I'm Luca! If you're looking for a kitten who thinks people are pretty wonderful, I might be your guy. I'm the outgoing one in my family and I'm usually the first to come say hello when visitors arrive. I love being petted, don't mind being picked up, and I'm always happy to curl up in a lap when it's time for a break from playtime. My favorite toys are wand toys, cat dancers, balls, spirals, and even ordinary boxes. Sometimes, while all my siblings are busy wrestling and zooming around, you'll find me stretched out by myself enjoying a peaceful nap. Even though I'm confident and social, I'm also a sweet and easygoing kitten who gets along well with other cats, children, and just about everyone I meet. One of my favorite things is spending time with my sister Sydney. She takes a little longer to trust people than I do, and I like being there for her. We groom each other, play together, and make a great team. I think having both of us means you'll get the best of both worlds: a ready-made cuddle buddy and the joy of watching a shy kitten blossom.

Iris and Atlas are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Hi! I'm Iris, a sweet, thoughtful little kitten looking for a forever home with my brother and best friend, Atlas. We're a bonded pair, and we're happiest when we're together. I like to take my time getting to know new people, but once I trust you, I'm incredibly affectionate. I love gentle pets and cozy cuddles, especially when I can curl up in the crook of your arm or burrow under a soft blanket for a nap. I may not always want to be picked up, but when I'm ready for affection, I'll make sure you know it. I'm also the more vocal sibling, especially if I think it's time for a snack! Food is definitely one of my favorite things, and I don't mind reminding Atlas that I should get first dibs. He's more playful than I am, but he always encourages me to be brave and explore new things. Having him by my side makes me feel safe. I enjoy playing with ribbon wands, crinkle tunnels, and jingly balls, and I love watching the world with curious eyes. I'm litterbox trained, use clumping litter, and prefer vertical scratching posts. Brushing isn't really my thing, but otherwise I'm a pretty easygoing girl. I am FeLV positive, which means I'll need an indoor home with Atlas where we're the only cats or with other FeLV+ feline friends. FeLV doesn't define who I am. I'm still a happy, playful kitten with so much love to give. Atlas and I have brought so much joy to our foster family, and we'd love the chance to bring that same happiness to yours. If you're looking for two kittens who balance playful energy with cozy cuddles, we think you'll fall in love with us.

Story
Atlas and Iris are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Hi! I'm Atlas, a playful, easygoing kitten with a big heart and an even bigger love for my sister, Iris. We may have different personalities, but we're the perfect team, so we're looking for a forever home together. I'm the adventurous one. If there's a ribbon wand to chase, a crinkle tunnel to zoom through, or a ball with a bell to bat across the floor, I'm all in! I love exploring and discovering new things, and I can usually convince Iris to join in the fun...sometimes by pouncing on her first! One of my favorite things is being picked up and cuddled. I'm a super chill guy who enjoys pets, doesn't mind being held, and is happy to meet new people, including kids. Even though I can entertain myself, I'm always keeping an eye on Iris. If she calls out, I come running to make sure she's okay. I'm litterbox trained, use clumping litter, and like vertical scratching posts. I haven't discovered anything I really dislike yet, except maybe missing out on playtime! I am FeLV positive, which means I'll need to live indoors with other FeLV+ cats or be your only cats. Cats with FeLV can still enjoy happy, playful, love-filled lives, and I hope you'll look past my diagnosis and see the fun-loving kitten I am. Most importantly, my sister Iris and I share an incredible bond. We give each other confidence, comfort, and endless entertainment, and we can't imagine life apart. If you're ready for double the love and double the kitten antics, we'd love to meet you!

Story
Greta and Humphrey are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Greetings, I'm Greta Garbo. My foster family says I have a gift for making myself comfortable absolutely anywhere. A sunny patch on the floor? Perfect. A cozy blanket? Wonderful. A purse sitting unattended? That's apparently an excellent place for a nap, too. I'm a friendly, easygoing kitten who enjoys people, pets, and plenty of playtime. Like Humphrey, I love chasing small toys, especially bottle caps and other tiny treasures that can skitter across the floor. Every day feels like a new adventure when you're a curious kitten. I enjoy being held, getting attention, and spending time with my people, but I'm also independent enough to head off on my own little explorations. One minute I'm accepting pets, and the next I'm racing off to investigate something fascinating across the room. Humphrey and I share many of the same interests: good food, sunny naps, playful adventures, and being around people. We've grown up together and have formed a special bond. Whether we're curled up together after a busy day or chasing toys side by side, we're happiest when we're together. We're looking for a forever family that will welcome both of us into their home. In return, we'll provide endless entertainment, affectionate companionship, and plenty of kitten cuteness. With purrs, Greta Garbo
