My name is Phil, and I have 2 brothers, Ken and Marty. We used to live under the deck of 2 cool math teachers. I liked it outside and didn't really think we needed to move indoors, but the nutty math people thought it made sense to bring us inside before the weather got cold. Whatever?! My brothers are totally into humans and don't even bother acting fierce. I like to act really fierce and see if I can scare anyone. My foster mom always just laughed at me and said that my tiny hisses didn't scare her. She said I was like a sour patch kid: sour then sweet. Whatever that means. I do like snuggling with my brothers and I like playing with wand toys. I hope that whoever adopts me will invest in some wand toys. And maybe a few toy mice, because I'm a really good hunter. And I kind of hope I get adopted with one of my brothers so I don't have to get used to anyone new. That would be a total drag. I am neutered and up-to-date on my FVRCP and Rabies vaccines. I am currently staying at our Heartland Facility! We are open Thursday 4pm-7pm, Friday 4pm-7pm, Saturday Noon-6pm and Sunday Noon-6pm. Feel free to stop by to meet me! No appointment necessary.

Meet Zuzu! This beautiful gal has aged like fine wine and has mastered the art of being a cat: she knows exactly how to get comfortable on a lap, she appreciates the finer things in life (like treats and belly rubs), and she has plenty of love left to give! 💕 While she enjoys the quiet life of a lap cat, Zuzu is far from "old and boring." She still has her playful bursts of energy! She’s the best of both worlds: she’ll keep you entertained with her playful antics, then settle down for a warm cuddle session. She is looking for a comfy home where she can retire in style, making biscuits on a warm lap, and sharing her loud, happy purr. She is also looking for someone who understands that sometimes she just wants her own space. She was so friendly and so sweet that we were excited to be able to welcome her into Heartland's cat program so that she could find a loving home to call her own! Pudding was recently brought to Heartland by our Executive Director, Jenny when she was out in the Lawndale area of Chicago helping with a TNR project. Pudding was always one of the first cats to come and greet the feeders during breakfast and dinner time. He was definitely ready to retire from street life and find a loving home to call his own! While Richie jumped right into the spotlight, Ralphie is taking a little more time to come out of his shell — but trust us, he’s worth the wait. Gentle , a little shy and observant, Ralphie is the kind of kitten who’ll melt your heart with quiet cuddles and soft purrs once he feels safe and loved.
