As part of the BISSELL Pet Foundation`s Empty the Shelter program, adoption fees for large breed adult dogs and adult cats will be reduced from May 1 - 15, 2025.Polly is available for adoption and is currently in a foster home.Polly is a very social senior gal who loves to be close to people. She loves laps and sitting next to you but she`s a little less thrilled with petting. Polly prefers that you gaze lovingly upon her and refrain from touching. Don`t fall for her cute rolling, she has a 30 second grace period for pets before she completely loses her patience. We`re recommending a teen/adult only family for Polly since she`s easily overstimulated and sensitive about being pet.AVHS is open 7 days a week 11am-6pm, adoptions wrap up at 5:30pm each day. We got Simba, back in December of 2021 he was just a baby, hee currently about 3.5yrs, most friendly and sweet cat! Very caring and cuddly. Been an indoors all his life, shots up to date. Just the sweetest! Loves attention and to chat! He comes with a really nice wooden cat tree and a feeder a water fountain, a carrier all the necessities. Litter box included, and the P pads and the pellets for the litterbox

Story

Marley is a sweet, cuddly at times & curious 2 yr old indoor cat. She is always near us - if it's watching tv or doing chores. She def is very independent, chill & likes to cuddle/play on her own schedule. Most of the day she will be curled up watching you from a distance & when she is ready to cuddle she will curl up on your lap or be by your side purring. You will also often find her on a window sill. Marley does good with our 2 & 4 yr old with supervision since she doesn't like to get picked up by littles (adults are fine) & tends to get anxious around them. We think she would do best with a family with older kids or no kids to provide a calmer environment. Unfortunately the main reason we have to re-home her is because we found out our 2 yr is pretty allergic to her and her allergy is getting worse when she is around her. This comes with a very heavy heart since we do love her but we do not think it's fair to keep her confined to one area only. She deserves to roam and be loved!
