Story
Smokey was my mother in law’s cat, she is now in an assisted living facility, and she can no longer care for him. We tried fostering him for a while to find him a home but had no luck. He’s 10 years old and he is such a sweet lovey dovey cat! He has a ton of accessories: cat bed, wall lounge box, scratch post, litter box, cat carrier, and litter.

Story
Luna is a very independent cat and mainly likes to keep to herself. But she loves being carried around like a baby. She only eats wet flake food and sometimes might have a couple of bites of dry cat food. She is a bit more on the scaredy side and tends to hide if someone comes over that she doesn’t know. She has been around dogs but usually would run and hide from them. I absolutely love her but living in a small apartment with a baby that is just starting to explore and eat everything isn’t realistic for us right now. My hope is that she goes to a home where she can have more freedom and the love and care she deserves.

Story
Kitty Kat is a wonderful and loving cat, she is very calm and mainly keeps to herself but will definitely let you know when she wants cuddles. I’ve had her since she was a kitten and she is the best cat you could ask for.

Story
Hi! My name is Kora and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by my previous owner on April 20th, 2023 because I was not getting along with the other cat in the home. I lived in a home with adults. My previous owner described me as shy, and loving. I have been adopted and returned twice because I was a bit too shy. I may be shy when I first meet you, but once I feel safe with you I have a lot of love to give! Please give me cheek scratches, but avoid petting near my tail area! I`m also not a fan of being picked up, but I will crawl on to your lap after a long day and work and cuddle up!I am an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing! My caregivers have noticed that I do not seem to get along with other cats, so I may do best as the only cat in my new home.Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home.I am a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

Story
Hi! My name is Dora and I am a `Working Cat`. I am seeking a home where I can put my hunting skills to work! I was brought into the shelter on July 2, 2023 by a good samaritan. I`ve been adopted a couple of times and have been returned for my unpredictable behavior.I am a cat that loves people and food, but ONLY on my terms. I can get overstimulated with petting, so please move carefully with me and keep an eye out for signs that I might need a break. Being an indoor only cat is not enough stimulation for me and I would like to hunt rodents in order to stay enriched and active. If you have never had working cats before, please reach out to barncatsrus@gmail.com to get all of the resources you will need to set up before you bring me home.
