Story
Earl is very sweet and cuddly boy, we have unfortunately had issues with him after moving in with other boy cats and he can’t seem to get along with them and has been starting fights. He is very good on his own and has never hurt a person, he seems to just have territorial issues with other males cats. Has lived with female cats for a long time and has never had issues with them. He is very codependent and loves being with someone at all times, and he’s a big napper. It breaks my heart to give him up but we have run out of solutions within this dynamic and I’m hoping he will find a more comfortable and loving home for him where he doesn’t feel like his territory is being disturbed.

Story
Fizzy is a sweet cat who loves to cuddle and be pet. She is very good with kids and has not reacted when my toddler has pulled her tale or pinned her to the ground. I’m going through a domestic violence divorce and my ex-husband has refused to take her. I cannot take her to the rental I’ve acquired. I believe she’s around 9 years old.

Story
HEARTWARMING RESCUE STORY DOB 8/26/22 Hey there, everyone! I'm Lollis, a delightful, playful “torbie” gal which means that I'm a brown tabby with patches of peach that makes me look like I was splashed with caramel in a candy factory. Although my independent, freedom-loving spirit has proven helpful in dealing “as needed” with the dogs, other cats, and kids in my foster home, my innate friskiness has made me a perfect companion for those same kids. I’ve been very bonded to Foster Meowmy ever since she spotted me at her jobsite as a seven-month-old stray kitten who had no momma or siblings in sight. Realizing that Foster Meowmy was my ticket to a life that was better than dumpster diving, I wasted no time and ran up to her. She scooped me up and drove home with me cuddled in her lap. Yes, our special connection began on that unforgettable journey. To this day, in those cherished moments when I need a little snuggle, it’s Foster Meowmy to whom I turn when I seek cuddling. Once in my foster home, I was overjoyed to kiss the hardscrabble life good-bye! Boy howdy! Brimming food and water bowls, climate control, and safety from predators all spelled security and happiness to me. Plus the resident cats could teach me the manners that momma would’ve taught me if she’d been around. I hope that my heartwarming rescue story has touched your heart. Yes, I chose Foster Meowmy, and now it's time for you to choose me to be your next feline companion. I want to become an integral part of your life and make every day an adventure worth sharing. Arrange to meet me today, and let's form a bond that's unbreakable! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a gal like me who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your family heirlooms. HOPE ID 23-1014-A047 Lollis is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $325 adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Story
Meet Dorito, the big orange boy you've been searching for your whole life! Adoption App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat At 5 years old, Dorito is a big, handsome orange gentleman with a heart as warm as his sunny coat. He’s the perfect mix of independent and affectionate — the kind of cat who’s happy to lounge nearby while you go about your day, but always ready to remind you he’s there with his calm, steady presence and slow blinks. Dorito is patient and takes life at his own easy pace. He’s not one for chaos or drama — he prefers cozy windowsills, soft blankets, and quiet companionship. If you’re looking for a cat who will respect your space but still make you feel loved, Dorito is your guy. And when it comes to cuddles? He is all about them, as long as you respect his boundaries. Tummy rubs are not Dorito's "thing" and he also doesn't love being carried around like a baby... He has a reputation to uphold! Underneath that adorable orange exterior is a sweet soul who enjoys affection and trusts his people. Dorito would thrive in a home that appreciates his gentle independence and rewards his affectionate side with chin scratches and cozy nap spots. He’s past the kitten chaos stage and fully settled into his role as a loyal, mellow companion. If you’re ready to add a big, warm, slightly chatty lovebug to your life, Dorito is waiting to meet you. --- Adoption App: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Dorito is ~5 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. He does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy. All he needs now is his forever home! This nacho cheese flavored good boy would do well as an only cat or with an equally laid-back resident cat in the household. He doesn't seek out trouble with his foster siblings, but if they get too close or too wild, he will let out a disgruntled hiss or two. Dorito is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or locations along their route. --- ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and transportation costs. Also, when you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you’re doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee sponsors a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! Story
BIRTHED THEIR LITTERS ON THE SAME DAY DOB 10/1/23, 10/1/24 Hey there, everyone! We’re Winter and Summer, a sweet, calm, and gentle mother/ daughter duo who is very bonded to each other. Although we cry when we’re separated, we both adore sharing quiet moments with Foster Meowmy – especially when she rubs Winter’s belly or gently scratches Summer’s ears, chin, and cheeks. Boy howdy! Does that ever feel good! Winter says, “I’m a loving Turkish Van mix gal, which means that I’m white except for a black cap on my head and black tail. I’m really quite a stunning beauty who will mesmerize you with my shiny gold-coin eyes and plush, snowy-white coat. When Foster Meowmy’s not available to dispense belly rubs, I’m quite content to pass the day basking in a patch of sunshine on the windowsill. It’s the perfect spot to watch “kitty TV” as squirrels scamper up the trees, birds fly by, and brazen lizards stare at me through the glass.” Summer says, “I’m a playful “bicolor,” which means that I’m mostly white except for soft brown tabby on my head, back, and tail. My natural eyeliner and lipstick give me a glamorous look, if I do say so myself! I’m barely more than a kitten myself, so I have a playful side that loves to sneak up on toys like a wild little huntress. You should see the enthusiasm that I have when Foster Meowmy waves the wand toy up, down, and around the room!” Winter continues, “I deserve to live a life of leisure because by the time I was 19 months old, I had already delivered two litters of kittens at an apartment complex in southwest Houston. Like mother, like daughter -- I was a year old when Summer was born, and Summer was seven months old when we both gave birth to a total of nine kittens on the very same day in May!” We merged our two litters so none of the kits knew which of us was their momma or grandma. We raised our kittens together as true partners to insure that our kittens got the nonstop love and nurturing they needed to thrive. When the kits were six weeks old, a kind HOPE volunteer rescued all eleven of us from the apartments and brought us into foster care. Now that we’ve permanently retired from motherhood, we’re ready to teach our forever hooman family how to relax and chill out after a hard day at the office. Oh the fun we all might have side-by-side on the sofa as we binge on Netflix and Animal Planet. To make our ecstasy complete, you just have to promise to give Winter an occasional belly rub and from time to time scratch the sweet spots on Summer’s head. Since we’re inseparable and cry when we aren’t together, we think it would be the cat's meow if we could be adopted together. We could be lifetime cuddle buddies and playmates while you're at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet us today! Incidentally, there are advantages of adopting kitties who are past the stage of kitten mayhem. We’re much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories. HOPE ID 25-0609-S039, S040 Winter and Summer are currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $425 bonded-pair adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
