Story
Meet Baloo! This little guy just needs the bare necessities, like love, cuddles, treats, and play. Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Baloo loves his littermates, adventure, play, and snacks. Always happy to receive love, this little guy is the perfect cuddle partner, but is also very playful. Initially shy for the first day, he settled into his foster home very well, and loves getting attention. This little guy is very food motivated (but who isn’t). Baloo and his sibling, She-Wolf, were rescued from a life on the streets in Houston by a Good Samaritan. They are loving the inside life but are searching for their forever homes!! Baloo is about 4 months old, neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. He does a great job of keeping his litter box tidy. All he needs now is his forever home! Shee-Wolf, and Baloo love being around other cats, and playing with friends. They would probably thrive best in a house with his littermate, or a friendly resident cat. He has met his foster's large, cat friendly dog, and was not intimidated by him at all. We feel with proper introductions to a well-behaved dog, he would be happy with a new pup sibling. He has also interacted with a four year old, and did great! Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair or kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. Information on why adopting two kittens together is best for their short- and long-term health and behavior can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Baloo is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts! To learn more about our TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) efforts, please follows us on Instagram @roses_rescues_htx. (All adoption fees also include transportation costs, spay/neuter of the animal, vaccinations, and microchipping.)

Story
Meet Orbit! Orbit is a tabby kitten with soft stripes and an even softer soul. Orbit is a shy little guy who’s still learning that the world is a safe and loving place. He may take some time to come out of his shell, but with patience and kindness, he’ll reward you with quiet affection and gentle companionship. Orbit is looking for a calm, peaceful home where he can grow at his own pace. He would do best in a quieter environment—perhaps with just one calm feline friend or as a solo kitty where he can get all the love and attention he needs to feel secure. He also does well with older, respectful children who understand that shy kittens need a little extra space and time to build trust. Once he feels safe, Orbit enjoys cozy nap spots, soft blankets, and gentle pets. He’s not the boldest kitten on the block, but he has a heart full of love just waiting for the right person to unlock it. If you have a quiet home and a patient heart, Orbit might be your perfect match. Come meet this sweet boy and help him discover how good life can be. Story
Hi! My name is Natsu and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on January 12, 2026.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home once I get to know you!Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home. When I go to my new home it is important to be patient with me and allow me time to acclimate to my new environment at my own speed. It is best to keep me in a smaller, quiet room, with my food, bed, and litterbox until I am comfortable and confident enough to start exploring the rest of my home.I am a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

Story
Thumper is a bright, bustling girl, approximately 5 years of age. She has the classic stocky tabby body but with a unique bobbed tail, giving her the look of a mini-bobcat. Thumper is curious and confident with new people and warms up quickly, and will soon be chirping and doing dolphin-dives up to your hand for scritches. Thumper has medium energy, and loves attention and chasing her favorite cat wand. She also loves all things that radiate warmth, and adores curling up in a warm bed or in front of a fireplace. She is quickly learning to be a lap cat, and at night has been known to share her person`s pillow. Thumper was an owner surrender after being turned outdoors by her previous family. Thumper has suspected asthma for which she needs daily medication, and will require ongoing veterinary monitoring for this condition. She`ll need a non-smoking, indoor-only home. Thumper will be happiest as an only pet - she can be quite bossy with other cats, bordering on bullying. She can also get a bit feisty if overstimulated during play, and thus will do best in a calm home without small or rambunctious kids. It is not known how she would respond to dogs. Thumper would love to meet you and your household members! She is currently in foster care in a home in Lake Forest Park (near Shoreline). To learn more about Thumper or to set up a meet and greet, please fill out the Foster Adoption Interest E-form or contact the foster parent directly at jen.dunnaway at gmail dot com, or by text at 607 244 4288.

Story
I adopted Grey and his brother Earl when they were little kittens and have had them for 8 great years. Grey loves to cuddle at night to sleep or sit in your lap while you’re working. Neither have ever scratched me on purpose, only when I play with toys and forget they have claws. They will also let you trim their nails without a fight. Just sit criss cross and lay them on the back with tummies up and they’ll let you trim away. I’d really love for them to be adopted together. They’ve lived their whole lives together and I wouldn’t want to split them up. My partner is allergic and I’m now pregnant and can’t give them the attention they deserve. They’re very loving affection cats and deserve the same from their humans.
