Story
Meet Noodle, a 10-year-old, 14-pound male Chihuahua mix. Together with his bonded buddy Tofu, they make a very sweet pair for any home. Although he is bonded with Tofu, Noodle has plenty of love to give. He loves getting attention, being petted, and being told he is a good boy. Like Tofu, Noodle loves to cuddle in the warmth with a nice soft blanket and snuggle with his people. Noodle walks well on a leash, side by side with Tofu. The pair would thrive in a loving home but would prefer to avoid a home with young children. Noodle and Tofu are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. Story
Meet Stitch: The Chihuahua with a Heart Waiting to Trust Again Introducing Stitch, a 5-year-old Chihuahua weighing approximately 13 pounds. Stitch was recently surrendered to Chloe’s Pet Rescue after his owners were displaced. Adopted from the SPCA several years ago, Stitch likely hasn’t seen a vet since—but we’re happy to report he is heartworm negative and ready to find a home where he can finally feel safe and loved. Chihuahuas have a reputation for being a bit particular, and Stitch is no exception. He is not a dog for everyone and absolutely cannot go to a home with children. Stitch needs someone with patience and a gentle touch to help him feel comfortable and learn to trust again. We don’t know what he’s been through in the past, but we do know that with the right person, he can learn what it truly means to be loved. If you’re up for the challenge and have the heart to give Stitch the love and understanding he needs, please submit your adoption application today. We are also searching for a foster home where Stitch can begin his journey of healing and trust. Are you the one who can show Stitch what love really is? Apply now to make a difference in your life (Dallas TX) https://chloespetrescue.org/application

Story
~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: Successfully treated for heartworm disease. ***** No other obvious issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Petey is an 10+ year old chihuahua mix who loves family time! His favorite thing in the world is to snuggle in your lap & under the covers! During the day he is a perfect work-from-home buddy who will sleep at your feet in a dog bed. Petey goes potty outside like a champ and can hold his bladder all night and for many hours during the day. He will come right to you when called. He gobbles up breakfast & dinner and loves treats. Petey takes a bath well and as a short haired dog, does not require professional grooming. He is grumpy and will fuss about getting his nails trimmed, though…so watch out!! Petey will not go for walks on a leash but will be carried. He shakes when he is nervous and excited- typical of this breed! We call him our little jitterbug. He only barks at a doorbell and occasionally when out back. He is friendly to all strangers but does not do well around children under five. If you love chihuahuas and all their funny quirks, Petey is your man! He would be best as an only dog, but will tolerate another small dog if necessary.  He is not a fan of big dogs or cats, but adjusting to them in foster home. -- Where did he come from: Owner was moving and had to downsize her dogs.   Adoption: ***** $100.00 ***** Weight: 10 lbs. Approximate age: 1/1/2014 ADOPTION APPLICATION: http://www.recycledpoms.org/application -- Email info@recycledpomeranians.com to request a printable application. --   ------Please remember our group is made of only volunteers all of whom have full time jobs, foster fur-kids, and families of their own, so please be patient.-------- November 4, 2024, 11:59 am
