Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Adoption info can be found in the last paragraph of this pet's profile or by visiting this direct link:   https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption Hi! My name is Jack! Sometimes known as "Jack Jack", "Jacky Jack", and occasionally "Knock it off you little turd". My life didn't start out so great....I was born in a bad place. So bad that one day some people in uniforms came and took me and my family. They said we were safe but that place was loud and scary...lots of barking dogs and strange smells. I went home with a family and lived there for about a year, but unfortunately I was just not a good fit for them. After all of that it's no wonder I am pretty shy with new people. My foster mom has been working with me to boost my confidence and she has taught me that taking walks and riding in the car is not so bad (still skeptical of the car thing though.) She also taught me this thing she calls "sit"....it's where I put my butt on the ground and she gives me a treat. I do love the treats! I pretty much just love food...treats, snacks, chew bones, table scraps ;-). I also love other dogs. I love to play and can get pretty spunky. I love to get the other dogs to chase me. I also love to chew on sticks outside or just take naps in the sun. Once I am comfortable with my person I will give lots of kisses and love to snuggle. I am fine sleeping in my crate at night, but I wouldn't mind sleeping in the bed if I'm allowed. I am completely house trained, don't get into things or chew on things I'm not supposed to, and am crate trained. My DNA results show that I am American Pitbull Terrier mixed with Chihuahua, a little Parson Rusell Terrier, and few other mixes sprinkled in for good measure. I am a small size of just 24 lbs and I was born in January of 2022. I will definitely bond quicker with a woman and I will need to go to a home with another dog(s) to play with. No young children for me please...I like a chill environment.   If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please click here (or copy and paste https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption into your browser) to view our adoption info and where you will find the link to fill out our online Pre-Adoption Application.  Any questions can be directed to us at info@dfwpuppatrol.com.  All of our adoptable pups have a minimum requested adoption fee of $250  (pups 6 months and older) and $350  (pups under 6 months old), regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 8 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention. Story
Pooh Bear is a special senior Chihuahua looking for a forever home after being rescued from the Dallas shelter's euthanasia list nearly a year ago. Surrendered by his owner at around eight years old due to health issues, Pooh Bear had a rough start but is ready for a fresh chapter. Partially blind, he can see shadows but occasionally bumps into things, though he manages well with a routine. Pooh Bear's demeanor is unique and requires patience—he took about two months to warm up enough for scratches but can be particular about when he's had enough attention. Despite a challenging start in foster care, he's come a long way and now navigates stairs and his favorite spots with ease. Pooh Bear communicates his needs by sticking his head through the banister or getting into a crate for transport outside, then returns promptly to his favorite spot in bed. At night, he enjoys lying next to you under the blankets but prefers no touching. This stinker of a Chihuahua is now around nine years old, 10 pounds, and seeking a patient and understanding home. If Pooh Bear sounds like the companion you've been looking for, submit your application today to meet him and witness his unique personality firsthand. He's ready to leave his past behind and flourish in a loving home. No children in household please. If you are interested in adding this special guy to your family, please go to our website and complete an application for adoption. www.chloespetrescue.org/application Pooh’s adoption fee is $75. He is fully vetted. Pooh Bear is considered special needs, so feel free to contact us to discuss adoption further.

His favorite thing in the world is to snuggle in your lap & under the covers! During the day he is a perfect work-from-home buddy who will sleep at your feet in a dog bed. Petey goes potty outside like a champ and can hold his bladder all night and for many hours during the day. He will come right to you when called. He gobbles up breakfast & dinner and loves treats. Petey takes a bath well and as a short haired dog, does not require professional grooming. He is grumpy and will fuss about getting his nails trimmed, though…so watch out!! Petey will not go for walks on a leash but will be carried. He shakes when he is nervous and excited- typical of this breed! We call him our little jitterbug. He only barks at a doorbell and occasionally when out back. He is friendly to all strangers but does not do well around children under five. If you love chihuahuas and all their funny quirks, Petey is your man! He would be best as an only dog, but will tolerate another small dog if necessary.  He is not a fan of big dogs or cats, but adjusting to them in foster home. -- Where did he come from: Owner was moving and had to downsize her dogs.   Adoption: ***** $100.00 ***** Weight: 10 lbs. His warm and welcoming nature makes him a joy to be around. There's nothing he enjoys more than snuggling up with his favorite humans. He is a true cuddle bug who craves affection and closeness.
