Story
Meet Sugar Cookie Sugar for short Sugar was surrendered to us months ago, and after time, patience, and lots of love from her foster mom, she has finally settled in beautifully and is now ready to find her forever home. This precious little 14-year-old Chihuahua weighs just 9 pounds and may be one of the easiest, lowest-maintenance dogs weve ever had. No drama, no demands just a calm little companion who enjoys a soft bed, short walks, yummy treats, and a peaceful home. Sugar spends most of her day snoozing happily in her favorite bed, but shake a treat bag or pull out a leash and she perks right up. She loves short walks and gets excited as soon as she sees her leash. Shes great about going outside to potty, learned the doggie door quickly, and comes running back inside when her foster mom claps her hands. While she isnt overly clingy, she has truly blossomed into a sweet, easy companion who simply wants to feel safe and loved. Sugar would do best in a quiet home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by kindness. She is fully vetted, had a dental completed earlier this year and her adoption fee is $125. Located in the Dallas, Texas area. www.chloespetrescue.org/application

Redheads can be a little spicy… and these two are no exception! 🌶️🐾 Let us introduce you to Lola and Libby, two adorable redheaded Chihuahuas who are as entertaining as they are sweet. We believe Lola is likely Libby’s mom, and while they may not necessarily be a bonded pair, they truly enjoy each other’s company. They love to goof off and play, nap side-by-side, and of course cuddle up next to their humans too. These girls were rescued from a heartbreaking situation in the Rio Grande Valley, where more than 60 dogs were being kept in a backyard hoarding situation. Despite their rough start, Lola and Libby have remained happy little spirits. Both girls tested positive for heartworms, but the good news is that their treatment begins the first week of April and will be completed in May. They have already had their much-needed dentals, and Lola also had a fatty mass on her leg removed, so she’ll be all set for her new life. If you’re looking for two fun little redheaded companions, these girls will keep you smiling. They can be adopted together or separately. They are located in the Dallas Texas area and their adoption fee is $225 each or $400 for the pair. Lola: approximately 8–10 years old, 10 pounds Libby: approximately 5 years old, 10 pounds If you’re ready to give one (or both!) of these sweet girls a loving home, please submit an application today: Www.chloespetrescue.org/application

Meet Lola & Libby ❤️🐾 Redheads can be a little spicy… and these two are no exception! Lola and Libby are two adorable redheaded Chihuahuas with big personalities, loving hearts, and plenty of charm. We believe Lola is likely Libby’s mom, and while they aren’t necessarily a bonded pair, they truly enjoy each other’s company. They love to play, nap side-by-side, and cuddle up with their people. These sweet girls came from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in the Rio Grande Valley, where more than 60 dogs were living in a backyard. Despite their difficult past, Lola and Libby have remained happy, resilient little dogs who are ready to leave their old lives behind and start their next chapter. The best news? Both girls have successfully completed their heartworm treatment and are now fully vetted, healthy, and ready for adoption. They have also had their dentals completed, and Lola had a fatty mass removed from her leg. Their medical journeys are behind them, and they’re ready to focus on what matters most—finding loving families. Lola is approximately 8–10 years old and weighs about 10 pounds. Libby is approximately 5 years old and also weighs about 10 pounds. They can be adopted together or separately, but because they’ve been through so much and have waited so long for their chance at happiness, they have a special adoption fee of just $150 each or $200 for the pair. Located in the Dallas, Texas area. If you’re ready to welcome one—or both—of these beautiful little redheads into your family, please submit an application today: www.chloespetrescue.org/application

Story
Meet Penny & Piper Penny and Piper are an adorable bonded pair of scruffy Chihuahua mixes looking for a forever home together. Penny (brown legs) is the mom, approximately 1½ years old, and Piper (white legs) is her daughter, just over a year old. Both girls weigh around 7–8 pounds and are fully vetted, spayed, and ready for adoption. Their cute little scruffy hairs stick out every which way, giving them tons of personality and charm. While most young dogs aren’t truly bonded, these two share a special connection and are happiest together, so we’d love to see them adopted as a pair. They love to play, cuddle, and spend time with their people. Both get along wonderfully with other dogs and have been excellent guests in their foster home with no potty accidents. They even mastered the doggie door in just two days! Piper is still working on her leash skills, but she’s making great progress. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun-loving duo to brighten your home, Penny and Piper may be the perfect match. Adoption fee: $350 for the pair Apply today at chloespetrescue.org/application Til toc???? They have their own….. Two tails one heart

Story
Hi, I'm Piper Jones! People tell me that my fur is a beautiful blue color. It's funny, my foster family thinks that my coat should be red because I'm a little spicy! I'm a 3 year old chihuahua/terrier mix and I originally lived in a home with 50 other dogs, so I didn't get much attention. I like attention from people and I bond strongly with those who love on me. I especially like ladies and it takes me a little longer to warm up to men. I would prefer a home without young children. I get along well with cats, and dogs that are my size or larger. I have lots of energy and love to run around the yard. I want to stay with my friend Mystic because we love to play and have more confidence when we're together.  Learn more about our adoption process below and fill out an adoption application to take the first step in giving Piper Jones the home she deserves! Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs. ##2476417##
