Story
Meet Stanley – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Forever Home. Stanley is a shy, sweet gentleman who’s ready to start the next chapter of his life—with a little help from a loving, patient family. This 3 to 4-year-old Chi/pug mix is fully vaccinated, crate-trained, and potty-trained. He’s got wonderful manners and a calm presence, but he’s a bit reserved at first and needs time to feel safe and secure in new surroundings. Once he knows you’re one of the good ones, Stanley’s gentle affection begins to shine. He gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a quieter home with older kids who understand the beauty of earning a shy dog’s trust. Stanley has tested heartworm positive, but he’s already started treatment, and we will cover all associated costs. All he needs from you is a safe space to heal and a heart open to a slower, more thoughtful bond. If you believe in second chances and quiet companionship, Stanley might just be the gentleman you’ve been waiting for. Email info@habitat4paws.org for an application or fill out the application on our website. **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the How it Works page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.**

Story
Palmier is ready to find his forever home! He is the happiest little guy whose tail never seems to stop wagging. He is incredibly friendly, usually the first dog to greet new people in his foster home. Strangers don’t exist to him, as he has loads of kisses to offer to anyone he meets. Palmier enjoys snuggling with the humans in his foster home, but he’ll also opt for the couch or a dog bed if no lap is available. He is good with dogs, and his demeanor suggests he would also do well with kids and cats. He enjoys playing with toys and sometimes other dogs. His foster family trusts him out in the house when they leave, and he is potty trained. Palmier is overall a well-rounded, easy-going little dog! Palmier is a 6 year old, 14.6 lb Chihuahua/Shih Tzu/Pug mix. If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2333589##

Story
Reese is a sweet, 9-year-old Chihuahua who’s been a beloved part of our family. He’s the ultimate sidekick — loyal, affectionate, and happiest curled up next to you for a nap or following you around the house. Reese would thrive in a calm, adult-only home with someone who understands small dogs. He’s not a match for young children — he’s started nipping when overstimulated, and with four little ones (including newborn twins), our home is just too chaotic for him now. ✨ What makes Reese special: Cuddle pro and always by your side Housebroken (with occasional accidents) Up to date on vaccines + heartworm injection Best with non-dominant dogs, okay with cats (plays, barks, chases) Typical Chihuahua sass — bold, spunky, and fiercely loyal If you're looking for a little dog with a big heart who just wants to be your companion, Reese is your guy.

Story
Meet Reese, a 9-year-old Chihuahua with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s been a loved companion through moves from California to Texas — but with four young children under 5 (including newborn twins), we’ve made the tough decision to rehome him. He has started nipping at the kids and needs a quieter, adult-only home where he can feel safe and relaxed. ✅ Loyal & cuddly ✅ Housebroken - needs frequent potty breaks (occasional accidents) ✅ Up to date on vaccines ✅ OK with cats & non-dominant dogs (barks/chases/plays) Reese is sweet, sassy, and loves to snuggle — a classic “Chihuahua with spice.” He’s not a good fit for young kids, but would thrive with someone familiar with small breeds. We’re hoping to find him a great home within the next 3 weeks.

Story
Meet Kordel – A Loyal Companion Ready for His Next Chapter At 11 years old and weighing in at 20lbs, Kordel is a spunky little Chihuahua mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. After his beloved owner passed away, Kordel found himself in need of a new forever home. He’s currently being lovingly fostered by someone helping him through this life transition, but he’s ready to find a family of his own. Kordel has a sweet and playful side that shines once he learns to trust you. While he can be cautious at first—especially with strangers or fast movements—he just needs a little time and patience to feel safe. Once that bond forms, he’s incredibly affectionate, playful, and loves being near his person. His favorite things include zooming around the room like a mini greyhound and curling up in his crate (he prefers the door open, thank you very much). He’s lived peacefully with both dogs and cats and currently shares his foster home with a friendly dog companion. However, due to his need for slow introductions and space to warm up, a home without small children is best. Kordel is: Neutered Up-to-date on vaccines Current on heartworm prevention Heartworm tested (negative) On Cytopoint for skin allergies (approx $40 every 2-3 months) His foster mom works from home and reports that he hasn’t had accidents when kept on a regular routine and taken out often. He’s incredibly agile and in great physical shape – you’d never guess his age when you see him leap onto his favorite chair! Kordel is looking for a calm, understanding home with someone who will give him time to adjust and build trust. In return, he’ll give you years of devoted companionship and that special kind of love that only comes from a rescue pup who knows he’s safe. Interested in meeting Kordel? He’s ready to find his person – could it be you?
