Story
Hey there! I'm Mayo! I am an 8 year old, 10 pound, male chihuahua. I was abandoned by my owners in a petsmart. As a senior, I do have a few senior quirks. I am a total love bug. I am laid back and perfect for a calm, lazy household. I love being carried and sitting in laps. I am a total mellow couch potato. I get along well with other dogs and would probably do well with cats. Can you give me my second chance?Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Everyone needs some sweet Honey in their life. This Honey is about 10 years old, 14 lbs, and a chihuahua. Found in a parking lot and no one claimed her. She is the sweetest gal. Will follow you around everywhere and sleeps in the bed with foster mom. She needs someone that is with her quite a bit. She loves to go to the store and runs errands with me. She also loves to play fetch She went to the vet and was spayed almost immediately because she was experiencing false pregnancy. We just completed her follow up bloodwork and learned she has Cushings. Dogs can live with this condition but must be on medication. this sweet girl is available for adoption and her adoption fee is $225. You can complete our online adoption application at. https://chloespetrescue.com/application

Buzz is approx 3 years old and 8 lbs. He was found as a stray and owner could not be found. He is heartworm positive but has started treatment. Don’t let this scare you, he will be heartworm free soon. He is now neutered and utd on vaccines as well as being microchipped. He is a very sweet boy and loves his foster mom. Sleeps in her arms most nights. He will growl at her sometimes when he doesn’t like something but has NEVER bitten anyone. Because of this, please no small children in household. He is potty trained and crate trained. If you need a sweet lover next to you, with a small bit of attitude, Buzz is the man for you. His adoption fee is $225. The eyes have it!!!!! In memory of Bob Barker and Doris Day, let me introduce you to the Chihuahua puppies. Their mom and their dad are both Chihuahuas, and we have since had them fixed. No more babies. But we have two little boys and two little girls that were born approximately June 6, 2023. They will be ready for their new homes next week. The two boys are named Bob and Barker. And the two girls are named Doris and Dayze. And if there had been another boy and girl, they would have been Betty and Whitey. These are three of my heroes, that we have lost the past few years. now it is time for these babies in new homes. ~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: Successfully treated for heartworm disease. ***** No other obvious issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Petey is an 8+ year old chihuahua mix who loves family time! His favorite thing in the world is to snuggle in your lap & under the covers! During the day he is a perfect work-from-home buddy who will sleep at your feet in a dog bed. Petey goes potty outside like a champ and can hold his bladder all night and for many hours during the day. He will come right to you when called. He gobbles up breakfast & dinner and loves treats. Petey takes a bath well and as a short haired dog, does not require professional grooming. He is grumpy and will fuss about getting his nails trimmed, though…so watch out!! Petey will not go for walks on a leash but will be carried. He shakes when he is nervous and excited- typical of this breed! We call him our little jitterbug. He only barks at a doorbell and occasionally when out back. He is friendly to all strangers but does not do well around children under five. If you love chihuahuas and all their funny quirks, Petey is your man! He would be best as an only dog, but will tolerate another small dog if necessary.  He is not a fan of big dogs or cats, but adjusting to them in foster home. -- Where did he come from: Owner was moving and had to downsize her dogs.   Adoption: ***** $200.00 ***** Weight: 10 lbs.
