Story
Hi, I’m Boone. I’m a 10-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 11 pounds, and I’m a gentle, affectionate little guy who still has plenty of love to give. I enjoy attention, love being close to my people, and walk nicely beside you on a leash. I’m well behaved, curious, and happiest when I’m in a calm, comfortable home where I can relax and feel secure. I can be selective with other dogs, I’m unsure about cats, and I’d do best with older kids who understand my gentle nature. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily be your shadow and your couch buddy, I’d love to spend my golden years by your side.

Story
Hi, I’m Leona! I’m a 1-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 24 pounds. I get along great with dogs, cats, and kids, and I have a gentle, quiet personality. I can be shy at first, but once I get to know you, I turn into the biggest cuddle bug you’ll ever meet. I love going for walks and staying right beside you on the leash. I’m affectionate, curious, and love getting attention from my favorite people. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who just wants to be loved, I think we’d be perfect together.

Story
Meet Stanley – A Gentle Soul Looking for His Forever Home. Stanley is a shy, sweet gentleman who’s ready to start the next chapter of his life—with a little help from a loving, patient family. This 3 to 4-year-old Chi/pug mix is fully vaccinated, crate-trained, and potty-trained. He’s got wonderful manners and a calm presence, but he’s a bit reserved at first and needs time to feel safe and secure in new surroundings. Once he knows you’re one of the good ones, Stanley’s gentle affection begins to shine. He gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a quieter home with older kids who understand the beauty of earning a shy dog’s trust. Stanley tested heartworm positive, but he’s already completed his treatment and is now heartworm free!! All he needs from you is a safe space and a heart open to a slower, more thoughtful bond. If you believe in second chances and quiet companionship, Stanley might just be the gentleman you’ve been waiting for. Email info@habitat4paws.org for an application or fill out the application on our website. **Because we require home visits, we only adopt locally to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. For more on adoption policies, please see the How it Works page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.**

Story
Affectionate, playful, and ready for a forever family — meet your new best friend - Hazel! This sweet 2½-year-old girl is pure love wrapped in a happy, playful package. She came from a home where she didn’t receive much attention, and now she’s making up for lost time by soaking up every bit of love she can get. She is incredibly social, friendly with all people, and happiest when she’s right by your side. She’s athletic, intelligent, and joyful, loving playtime just as much as she loves curling up for snuggles. She understands routines and schedules and has settled beautifully into her foster home. She is house trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a loving household. She does wonderfully with other dogs and cats and would especially love a home with another dog to play with, cuddle, and keep her company. Her favorite things include walks, car rides, pup cup adventures, and quality time with her people. After being overlooked in the past, she’s truly blossomed and is ready to give her whole heart to a family who will cherish her as much as she deserves. At a glance: • 2½ years old • House & crate trained • Friendly with dogs, cats, and all people • Spayed • Microchipped • Heartworm negative She is available for adoption through Legacy Humane Society. To apply, visit: www.legacyhumanesociety.org If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with love, joy, and wagging tails, she’s ready to meet you We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. Story
🍀 Your Lucky Little Gentleman 🍀 Some treasures aren’t found at the end of a rainbow… they’re standing right in front of you in a shamrock bow tie. Alfie is the definition of a proper little gentleman. He’s sweet, snuggly, and happiest when he’s close to his people — preferably on the couch, possibly under a soft blanket, and always accepting scritches with the most polite appreciation. His foster mama says he’s “just perfect,” but Alfie would humbly tell you he’s simply a well-mannered boy with a very big heart. 💚 Here’s why bringing Alfie home might be your best stroke of luck yet: ☑️ Gets along wonderfully with other dogs ☑️ Housebroken (because gentlemen keep things tidy) ☑️ Politely requests scritches — and rewards you with the sweetest looks ☑️ Sleeps through the night in his own bed without a peep All he’s missing is a forever family to call his own. This St. Patrick’s Day, skip the gold — bring home the treasure. 🌈🍀 Alfie is ready to be your good fortune. 🐾💚 ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://iamdogrescue.org/adoption-application/ ***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ*** Our adoption fee is $175. We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason. Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
These two sweet boys are a bonded pair, so we are looking for a home where they can stay together. They do great with other small dogs, so a home with additional small canine friends would be a great fit. Here’s what their foster mom has to say: “Leo is the smaller of the two and full of energy—he loves playing with all the dogs. His brother, Milo, is a sweet boy who never says no to a treat! Milo is very attached to Leo and will cry when they’re apart. Both are potty and crate trained, though Milo may mark his territory occasionally.” Leo and Milo are 5 year old Chihuahua mixes. If you’re ready to welcome this adorable duo into your home, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org. *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2487807##
