Story
Palmier is ready to find his forever home! He is the happiest little guy whose tail never seems to stop wagging. He is incredibly friendly, usually the first dog to greet new people in his foster home. Strangers don’t exist to him, as he has loads of kisses to offer to anyone he meets. Palmier enjoys snuggling with the humans in his foster home, but he’ll also opt for the couch or a dog bed if no lap is available. He is good with dogs, and his demeanor suggests he would also do well with kids and cats. He enjoys playing with toys and sometimes other dogs. His foster family trusts him out in the house when they leave, and he is potty trained. Palmier is overall a well-rounded, easy-going little dog! Palmier is a 6 year old, 14.6 lb Chihuahua/Shih Tzu/Pug mix. If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2333589##

Story
Reese is a sweet, 9-year-old Chihuahua who’s been a beloved part of our family. He’s the ultimate sidekick — loyal, affectionate, and happiest curled up next to you for a nap or following you around the house. Reese would thrive in a calm, adult-only home with someone who understands small dogs. He’s not a match for young children — he’s started nipping when overstimulated, and with four little ones (including newborn twins), our home is just too chaotic for him now. ✨ What makes Reese special: Cuddle pro and always by your side Housebroken (with occasional accidents) Up to date on vaccines + heartworm injection Best with non-dominant dogs, okay with cats (plays, barks, chases) Typical Chihuahua sass — bold, spunky, and fiercely loyal If you're looking for a little dog with a big heart who just wants to be your companion, Reese is your guy.

Story
Meet Reese, a 9-year-old Chihuahua with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s been a loved companion through moves from California to Texas — but with four young children under 5 (including newborn twins), we’ve made the tough decision to rehome him. He has started nipping at the kids and needs a quieter, adult-only home where he can feel safe and relaxed. ✅ Loyal & cuddly ✅ Housebroken - needs frequent potty breaks (occasional accidents) ✅ Up to date on vaccines ✅ OK with cats & non-dominant dogs (barks/chases/plays) Reese is sweet, sassy, and loves to snuggle — a classic “Chihuahua with spice.” He’s not a good fit for young kids, but would thrive with someone familiar with small breeds. We’re hoping to find him a great home within the next 3 weeks.

Story
Peanut is 4 years old and 6 pounds of pure Chihuahua joy. He is a fun, funny and affectionate dog. Once Peanut decides to trust you (more on this later), he will stick to you like glue. He sits around hoping you decide to watch television so he can plant his adorable little body comfortably on your lap and stay there, preferably forever. He loves ear scratches, butt scritches and most of all, tummy rubs. He is extremely affectionate and a perfect companion. HOWEVER, Peanut will require some patience up front. When he came to his foster home, he was terrified and would not let foster dogmom even touch him for 4 days. After a week he was behaving like a normal dog and after two weeks, he decided he was the luckiest dog in the world. He is afraid of all people who come to the house and either hides from them or barks at them. But if you are looking for a faithful companion for you and you have a quiet house, he will be a perfect dog. He’s a very easy little guy to love. Peanut has his manners down. He is housetrained, but count on this taking a little time as you will have to adjust to his schedule. He is not destructive at all. Even when he gets hold of socks—which he loves—he does not chew holes in them. He just moves them from room to room. He loves to snuggle up against foster dogmom to sleep. Peanut’s foster home has 4 other dogs and he gets along well with all of them. He started playing with them once he got to know them. But he would be equally happy—maybe happier—as an only dog as all the attention would go to him. He likes the occasional squeaky or crunchy toy. Peanut needs a back yard to run around in several times a day. Between this and his barking at strangers, he would not be a good apartment dog. He needs to be in a home with a secure fence. Additionally, he needs a home with one or two adults (seniors would be ideal) and no children. Peanut’s adoption fee is $275 and includes neuter, all shots & microchip. He is heartworm-negative and on heartworm medication. Note: We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that seem to be a good fit for the dog.

Story
Shirley is a Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. She&#39s a little chunky but we&#39re not judging, she says she&#39ll work out after the holidays! Shirley is a little love bug and would love to have a lap to sit on or by, and get all the pets! This sweet girl is super chill and quiet, not barky at all, and loves being dressed up! We are recommending a home with no small kids, but she&#39s good with all sizes of dogs. Cats may be ok, we&#39re not sure on that but happy to help with introductions. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment).
