MEET ME IN CONNECTICUT. I JUST MOVED HERE! Howdy folks! My name is Rusty, and I’m a very handsome 8-year-old, 16 lb, red wire-haired Dachshund mix, ready to hitch my wagon to an East Coast star! I was dumped in San Antonio, followed a man home who was walking his dog, and was invited to stay until my family was found. Unfortunately, nobody claimed me, and I had no identification. No biggie… I was posted on NexDoor, and 4 Little Paws reached out to take me. Now I’m living in a foster home, safe and sound, and having some fun while getting ready to find a forever home. I am now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and I also had my teeth cleaned. I’m ready to meet you with a big smile, showing off my pearly whites! First and foremost, I’m a dog owner's dream. Cool, calm, and collected, I am friendly to all, quiet and well-behaved, housebroken, and sweet as can be! I adore people and laps, LOL! If you are looking for a lap dog, I’m your guy! I’m not kissy or slobbery, but I’m totally snuggly. I enjoy playing with squeaky toys and the company of other dogs, but I’m not really playful with them. I’m more of a greet them with my tail wagging to say hello sort of dog. Is currently going potty outdoors at our center. * Walks: Is a well-behaved walker who enjoys being outside and does not pull on the leash. May initially feel a bit intimidated and sit down after a few steps to scan the surroundings. Once adjusted to the environment, she walks forward confidently. * Car Sickness: Had no problems and rested during short car rides. * Biting: May growl at times, but calmly accepts being touched. While the growling is a sign of being fearful of people, she has never shown any aggressive behavior, such as nipping or putting teeth on skin. * Bark: Is still afraid of people and growls out of fear when making eye contact with them. * Like: Likes going for walks.

Ollie is the sweetest little gentleman, a thorough cuddler, and number 1 lover-boy. He is a dachshund, red color, around 9 years old, super handsome boy. He is a great mix of calm and fun. He is very quiet and doesnt bark but will greet you at the door with much tail wagging when you get home. He has a bubbly temperament and is super loving. He enjoys walkies (except when its super cold out), treats, and lots of belly rubs. I wish I could continue to care for my sweet Oliver but due to some abrupt life, financial, and housing changes its in Ollies best interest that we find him a new forever family. I am looking for an owner that will be extra affectionate and caring with Ollie and wouldnt mind keeping in touch with me and sending some updates.
