Moose is 9-11 month old Pit/German Shepherd mix who was found with his brother running alongside the highway out near Yosemite. We had talked about keeping him but we found Moose thrives on attention and with the other pets in the house, and working all day he just doesnt get the attention he craves. Moose really just wants to be the center of someones world. He's a big, lovable goofball he loves to cuddle. If he could, he’d crawl right into your skin and stay there as long as you’d let him. Moose is very smart, learns quickly, and is extremely food motivated. He knows his basic commands (sit, lay down, wait, go to your bed, heal on and off leash.) He can struggle with impulse control. Because of whatever he experienced as a puppy he can be timid. If hes unsure about something, he cowers or rolls to show his belly. If you raise your voice, he’ll flinch or try to hide. He has become braver and more confident, and these behaviors have greatly improved but they may never totally go away
