Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Dutchess! She is a 7 year old Female, 75lbs, Belgian Malinois & German Shepherd Mix.  She is an extremely smart, trainable, loyal, and protective dog. A local coffee shop was feeding this homeless dog and her foster mom took her in during 2020. They have been working on socialization and training.  Dutchess requires a very experienced dog owner. Must show a history of prior ownership to a similar breed. The ideal candidate would be an active person who can keep Dutchess with them all day.  She is a dog that should either be working or with her owner. Dutchess has some aggression triggers: food, food bowl, cats and other small animals. When she is on leash she has some aggression issues with other dogs but this may be worked out with an experienced trainer. She could be comfortable and happy around other dogs once socialized and introduced with supervision but there may be some moments along the way that need to be well managed, another reason for a very experienced dog owner.

Story
Matisse is a one year old very handsome German Shepherd/Husky boy. We have gotten him through the Milo Foundation several months ago. He is a very good dog, who is sweet, loving, kind, easy going, non fussy eater and most of all he is very, very smart. He will will listen and learn to your commands right away. Our family loves him very very much, so I am posting this ad with a heavy heart. Unfortunately I (stay at home mom of two teenage boys) have gotten sick and I can no longer take care of two dogs (we also have a mini Goldendoodle). Especially hard for me is to take care of Matisse because he still is a very young boy who needs lots of exercise, daily walks, and possible professional training. What I mean about training is that he probably is capable of becoming a Military, Search and Rescue, or any Special Assistance place which will truly appreciate his talents. I will keep him for as long as I will find the perfect fit for him. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Story
We've gotten to know Billie pretty while he's been staying with us. We know he really likes to play with other dogs. We recently took him on an outing to a ranch where he got to run and play with 6 other dogs. Billie has met many dogs and seems up for a playful romp with most dogs his size. Billie does like to get to know people before he is ready for hugs. Our volunteers have found Billie to be quite social and affectionate, he's also very playful with toys. Billie has been learning all sorts of good manners while at our shelter and he's learning to walk well on leash, he knows sit, down, touch and wait. He often likes to take walks with other shelter dog friends. *** ADOPTION FEE PAID *** Primary Color: Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 63.2 Age: 2yrs 3mths 4wks

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Petey needs his own documentary crew. His journey from Mexico to Marin and all his adventures in between are story worthy. Petey's physical disability is a birth defect that he has learned to navigate and manage, which he does with enthusiasm and gusto. He really knows no other method of ambulation and so he skitters on. Petey loves being outdoors, playing with his dog friends and loving on his people. It's possible that Petey loves on his people a little too hard as he's shown a tendency to guard his someone from either another person or another dog. For this reason we ask that you speak with a behavior specialist prior to adoption in order to understand the issue and be able to work with Petey on modifying that behavior. If you have the lifestyle and resources to manage Petey and help him overcome his attachments he will reward you with great love and companionship.*** ADOPTION FEE PAID *** Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 29 Age: 5yrs 6mths 0wks
