Story
We adopted our sweetheart of a Pit Bull puppy, Baloo, from a litter posted on Craigslist when he was 2 months old in December. Baloo was supposed to be a small lab mix, but turned into a big ol' Pitty. He and our other pup Butterscotch have been best friends since he came home, but now he is too big (already 60 lbs at 10 monnths) and too energetic for us to keep him. As he has entered his adolescence phase Baloo has developed stranger anxiety and we are working with behavior trainers to curb this behavior/fear as quickly as possible. Unfortunately he now plays too roughly with his elderly sis- she tries to hold her own but as she continues to age she will not be able to. He has attended Petco and Marin Humane puppy training series classes, is smart and easily trainable (with treats of course!) and is SUCH an adorable cuddle-bug. He follows my husband and me around the house- he loves to be around his "people." We love him SO much and want to find him a wonderful new home soon.

Theo is an energetic loving dog that loves water and playing! If you have a yard he will be entertained! He doesn’t do well with other dogs but tolerates and walks well when another dog is nearby. Looking for a home with open space yard and an active family to release his energy.

Story
(Fostered at Happy Hound Oakland)My name is April! I'm a very shy girl! But very sweet with humans! And I love dogs that are the right match for me! I'm currently at Happy Hound Doggie daycare going through training and everyone says I'm doing amazing! I have some fear and working on my confidence! I need an experienced and patient person! Someone who can continue with my training! I love to lay on your lap, go on walks, but certain people do give me fear so I hope to continue growing and being more comfortable! I play in playgroups with dogs and I am pretty vocal when I play! Hope you ask for me! I'm about 60lbs, came to Oakland shelter as a stray and Happy Hound has been fostering me for 7 months. I'm ready for a couch and a home I can call my own. I am best in a home with no cats! I've never met them so unsure how I would react. Happy Hound will continue to help with her training. Story
Mia has been in our care for a little over a month and has spent most of that time in our San Quentin Pen Pals program where she is in foster and being trained by an inmate/handler. Mia has learned many great skills at San Quentin with her handler. She walks politely on leash, knows sit, down, wait, leave-it and more. Mia is learning to sit when she meets new people, which can be pretty hard for a social Bully Breed dog. Mia LOVES fetch so you will always have a way to burn off her energy, just find a couple of toys she likes and she will fetch each one in turn. Mia doesn't seem terribly interested in other dogs, she is much more focused on her handler, training and fetch. Mia's tail is always wagging and her mouth is always smiling! She is a really good natured dog that can't wait to warm up a spot on the couch and enjoy a night of binge watching your favorite series, and she won't judge you for your guilty viewing pleasures. Story
Meet me at the mobile adoption event on Saturday, September 23rd at Woodlands Pet Store San Rafael from 12-3pm (unless adopted before 3pm).(From my foster home in the East Bay)Hi! My name is Maka. I'm a great boy looking for a new home! I am very obedient and calm. I'm really dog social, great with people, and love to please. I already know how to sit, stay, and lay down. I go to the bathroom in the outside yard, but I prefer to do my business when on a walk.I do not jump up when it's time to eat, but instead wait patiently until I'm told to eat. I do not hoard food and am a slow eater. While I do have my favorite foods, I will eat anything. I do protect the home and I will let you know when strangers arrive but will relax when you tell me it's ok.Some of my favorite things to do are going for walks and lying in the sun. My foster sometimes works in the backyard, and I just hang out next to him. The transition from having a family to being a foster is a little tough and sometimes I just want to cuddle, but with a good home I know I will be ok.If you're looking for a family oriented, loving, and loyal dog I am right here. Story
Trixie came to us from Maui. She was in the shelter before the fires started so we know she doesn't have a family searching for her. It's lucky for us, as Trixie is one easy lady! She's a mellow gal who's never met a stranger. All humans are her favorite people. Well, we suppose humans with treats might be her all-time favorite people. But humans without treats are cool, too. At this point in time, Trizie is pretty obsessed with food. Based on what we've seen, we're hopeful that will fade with time, a steady, consistent meal schedule, and a strong relationship with her new family. Trixie mostly ignores other dogs. She's the epitome of chill. ***ADOPTION FEE PAID*** Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 65 Age: 4yrs 1mths 0wks
