Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sven the Great Dane is becoming the dog he was meant to be. He’s still a youngster, we think around 12 months. He’s a very happy, healthy boy. Sven enjoys his long walks. He has so much fun chasing a ball and the secret is to have multiple balls in hand - that’s because Sven knows how to bring the ball back, drop it and wait for the next ball to be thrown. He may also be overly interested in small furry creatures. We think Sven is just a great all round boy. He has so many wonderful qualities, the best of which is he’s a leaner and a snuggler.   November 16, 2024, 5:27 pm

Buzz | Belgian Malinois Mix | 8-Years-Old | Neutered Male | Approx. 67 lbs. This guy may bring a tough exterior, but he’s 100% cuddle bug! Buzz loves human attention and gives full body leans to show his appreciation. Buzz doesn’t play hard to get, quickly rolling over onto his back at the slightest hope of belly rubs! His sweet and loyal disposition charms everyone he meets. Buzz loves to be outside taking in all the smells and surroundings in Lily’s Big Field or running around in Lily’s Dog Park. Buzz is a highly intelligent, intuitive and emotionally sensitive dog who is eager to please and bond with his human/s. He is a sensitive soul, receptive to the things going on around him. As such, Buzz is looking for confident and calm human/s and would do well in a quiet, predictable home. Buzz may do well with a female, calm canine companion, but mostly seeks the company of dedicated human/s.

Ollie | German Shepard | 9-Years-Old | Male | Approx. 70 lbs., should be 75-80 lbs. Ollie came to Lily’s as an owner surrender from Oakland. His most recent owner got him 6 months ago when a neighbor abandoned him, but could no longer care for him. Ollie is a classic German Shepard, intelligent and loyal. Sadly, sweet Ollie has been neglected in his previous home/s and needs lots of TLC to get back to a healthier weight. Luckily, Ollie is very food motivated, making weight gain and training much easier! He’s a very sweet gentleman, looking for a forever home to call his own.

Story
Tiny Tim | Bearded Collie | 8-Years-Old | Male | Approx. 60 lbs.Tiny Tim (we’re calling him Tim) arrived last week. He is a 9 year old Bearded Collie mix from the Bradshaw Shelter in Sacramento. He was a stray and arrived at the shelter extremely matted and needed o be completely shaved and several foxtails removed from his ears. Tim had his intake exam and is in good health, just needs to put on a little weight, be neutered and have a dental (and have his fur grow back!).    Tim arrived Saturday understandably a little confused and anxious. To better understand him, we read up on the Bearded Collie breed as he is a first for us. They are described as bold and playful and that’s him! They are also known for their “beardie bounce” and Tim does the same thing, he is very excitable and bounces around to show how happy he is. He walks wonderfully at your side on leash and enjoys laying in the sun getting pets. He’s super smart and quickly figured out our puzzle toys, how to use the doggie door and loves the Kong as a down time activity. He even let us dress him up in a Christmas outfit that will double as a warm jacket on these chilly days. He's a sweet boy, settling in more each day.
