*********Please read bio fully before responding. We appreciate your interest in one of our dogs and it would be very helpful when you respond if you share information about yourself(home/yard, work hours, other pets, kids, dog experience..) Also, we do have an application at sparrowdogs.com that we will need in order to proceed with the adoption. THANK YOU!! We recently took in four dogs from an overcrowding situation, a home that just had way to many dogs! We are totally guessing at the breed(s) that may be involved in this crew, lol. I can see Maltese, perhaps some sort of terrier, maybe even a little bit of Chihuahua? Who knows, but we do know they are just adorable. The little family had been at a shelter for a time and were just not settling in, they were terrified. Yes, they were safe and warm, and cared for. But, despite that, it was not home, whatever that may have been. We are happy to say they are doing great on their foster home, they settled in very well being back in a home situation. That happened quicker than expected, within the first day they were anxious to be picked up and snuggled on a warm lap. They all love their toys, snuggly beds and quick trips out in this bitter cold. They are doing well with their house training. We do use potty pads and they will use them in between outdoor breaks. They are also shy meeting new people, it is a big new world out here and they need a little patience. So, we are looking for very loving, patient people that understand these guys need a little extra TLC, as far as settling in and continued reinforcement on the potty training. Their coats are in the process of healing as well, very common in such situations. Some of the had a bit of thinner hair that should soon fill in nicely in a more healthy situation. Lil Jelly Roll is a sweet, loving, active and snuggly guy. You would never know that he had ever had a rough day in his life. Of the four dogs that came from the crowded situation, he is the most outgoing and social. If there is a lap to be had in the house, Jelly will gladly warm it for you!! He is terrific with the other dogs and is a very gentle boy, he wants a family to love and appreciate all that he has to offer. We think he is pretty fantastic!! He is doing well with his potty training, and loves being outside running and playing. He will do well in a home that has tons of time to spend with him, another dog or two would be great! Jelly's adoption fee is $400. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.

Story
To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. COURTESY POST---This handsome boy is NOT with our rescue, he is with his family right now and we are helping them to find a wonderful home for Cooper. You can look at his pictures and see that Cooper is a very much loved family member. He has had a wonderful life with his people, and his other dog pal. And he really is an awesome guy, full of life and exuberance. But, that occasional over the top personality is a little too much for a family that just welcomed a newborn. So, no judgement there, they are just trying to make the best decisions for their baby as well as Cooper. Cooper is a 5 year old Pitbull mix. The family had initially adopted him a few years ago from a rescue, he had been left tied to a tree at some point in his life and was also heartworm positive. He has been treated for the heartworms and he is a healthy, robust and fully vetted boy. Cooper has lived with his other dog buddy and does well. Occasionally they play a little too rough(of course!) when they get a bit excited. He also lives with a cat that he wants to play with, however, the cat is not that interested in playing with Cooper, lol. Cooper's family says that he can be a little bit of an energy overload at times, he gets so exited meeting new people and dogs, gets excited about being outside and will jump on people and even has a big waggy tail that can hurt a little bit on the receiving end, lol. He is on some calming meds at this point, but perhaps could wean off of them in a small child free and also an active home to burn off some of that energy. Cooper's family has been working with a trainer and he is doing well. HE knows, sit, lay, shake and is doing well with place training on a mat, as well as a slip lead for a calming control device. When Cooper is not enjoying all the excitement of his life he is also a very laid back guy. If you are relaxing, well, he is right there with you. Cooper is a professional snuggler and loves to be by your side, keeping your feet warm in bed, or cozied up for some Netflix! Cooper will most likely do better in a rural situation where he does not have as many distractions such as other dogs, people cars and such to get him overly excited. Cooper is an extra special guy that deserves all the best. His family is hoping to find an active, loving home, older kids would be best. He lives with another male dog now, but really does well with older female dogs. If you have an awesome home for an awesome dog, please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.

She has the most unique, almost human like face, she is simply adorable!! Ella is very snuggly, silly, cuddly and little goofball of a girl! Her adoption fee is $400. Story
We look forward to your response in regards for this delightful gentleman, but when you do, please use our application at sparrowdogs.com, or tell us a bit about yourself please. Meet Otto, he is perhaps a Pugchi, part Pug and part Chihuahua. We think the Pug genes gave him his love for the sedentary life, appetite and some girth. His Chihuahua side of the family tossed in a little bit of spice into that mix and gave him just a dash of attitude. He is a man of leisure. He enjoys a fine meal and a soft bed. He prefers his blankets swirled around his portly frame. Occasionally his face will poke out, just for a sniff, perhaps there is a snack headed his way?? Or...one of the other foster dogs might need his stern guidance if things are getting a little willy nilly. He does not suffer fools lightly.(lol) Well, with that said, that is the reputation Otto tries to uphold. He wouldn't want anyone to know that he really has a fun side, ya know! He can be a little cantankerous on occasion, but all that amounts to is a few grumbles. He wouldn't want to admit it, but he has had a lot of fun running around with the playful dogs in the yard. Even at 8-9 years old, he can be a spunky guy. Otto enjoys spending his time relaxing on a soft bed. He is looking for a more laid back home, and one that will understand that he may need a little time to get to know you. He will do well in a a dog savvy home that understands that it takes time to develop some relationships, and those can be the best ones!! He can be fine with kids, but we think perhaps teens, no little guys. Otto is fine with women, but really prefers men, he would like a buddy to hang around with. Please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.

Their coats are in the process of healing as well, very common in such situations. Some of the had a bit of thinner hair that should soon fill in nicely in a more healthy situation. We all hate to play favorites with our kids...or our dogs...but...I have to say that Lil Lainey just stole my heart. She had a rough past where apparently she did not get a lot of attention. She is shy, her hair is thin right now, and her face was a little scruffy. But, what a heart and personality she has, you just want to hold her and help her forget anything bad. And, when you do, she just relaxes, closes those sweet eyes and just absorbs it all. She loves to fall alsleep in our arms, Lainey is just too stinking cute. When she is not just loving up on us she is bringing us toys. We have some fuzzy cheeto's. She is forever carrying one around and wanting to snuggle in a lap with a cheeto, now doesn't that sound like your special girl!!?? I am not sure which she loves more, her toys or her snuggles? She will be shy meeting new people, and she has the cutest little raspy bark when she does, but she will settle in quickly with a loving and patient family. Lainey is a tiny girl, maybe 9 pounds, and is thought to be around 2 years old(maybe younger?). Her adoption fee is $400, please email Kristine at joysparrows@gmail.com.
