Story
Vida’s name means life — and it couldn’t suit her better. This beautiful boxer girl came to us from a situation of severe neglect, where she had been starved and confined to a very small space. When she first arrived, she was weak and unsure of the world around her. But in just a few short weeks in foster care, Vida has shown everyone exactly how strong and resilient she truly is. She has already gained 10 pounds, continues to build strength in her hind end, and is learning what it means to feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Vida especially enjoys the companionship of people and other dogs and has done wonderfully with her foster boxer sister. Vida does experience some bowel and incontinence challenges, which our veterinarian believes are related to weakness from prolonged confinement. The encouraging news is that she is already making progress and continues to improve with time, patience, and support. Because of her condition and worn teeth, her exact age is still unknown. An Embark age test has been submitted, and we hope to learn more soon. Vida is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She is currently thriving in foster care while she waits for a special home that can offer patience, consistency, and plenty of time together. Vida has already come so far. Now she’s ready for a family to help her continue the journey. Vida is going to remain in foster until she finds her forever home! Meet and Greets will need to be scheduled.

He would do best in a peaceful environment where he can feel secure and supported as he learns that the world can be a safe and happy place.
