Story
Hi, my name is Cooper and I'm about 10 weeks old.  Me and 3 of my litter mates were surrendered to Bond County Humane Society by our owner.  They had more dogs than they could afford and could not keep us.  Before I came to the shelter I lived in a home with 2 adults, 4 children and a cat.  There were a total of 11 puppies in my litter.  You can easily tell me apart from my other litter mates because I have the prettiest blue eyes.  Our Mom is an Australian Shepherd Mix and one of our Dads could be a Great Pyrenees.   I am very well socialized and love to be with people. I like to play with an 8 year old boy that visits the shelter and with my litter mates.  I love to play with toys.  I like blankets and will take everybody else's blanket too.  I am very observant and watch everything that goes on.  I have been known to sleep in some weird positions.  I love to be cuddled.  I am learning my puppy manners. Right now I am working on "Sit".  I am crate trained.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $300.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.September 12, 2026, 8:34 am

Story
Hi, my name is Harper and I'm about 10 months old.  I was rescued by Bond County Humane Society (BCHS) from Fayette County Animal Control.  Me and my litter mate were found running at large.  We had been in Animal Control for 3 months without anyone interested in adopting.  I am friendly and playful.  I get excited when I meet new people and dogs.  I am good with other dogs.  I play with Jack, another dog at the shelter and I played with Brandy before she was adopted.  I love playing fetch with toys.  I am still learning my manners, but I know "Sit" really well.  I enjoy water so much that when I'm outside playing I will put most of my head in the water when I get a drink.  I really love the kiddie pool on a hot day.  I wasn't sure about the leash at first, but now I enjoy my walks on leash.  I am an active girl so my family should be active as well.  I'm probably not house trained, but I am crate trained.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm tested, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $150.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.September 12, 2026, 8:34 am

Story
Hi, my name is Jack and I'm about 5 years old.  I was rescued by Bond County Humane Society from Fayette County Animal Control.  I was surrendered to Animal Control by my owner because he could not take care of me.  He said I was his wife's dog and she passed away.  I have had three legs since I was a puppy.  I broke my leg before I had been adopted as a puppy and it didn't heal properly so my leg had to be amputated.  Missing a leg does not keep me from doing the things I like.   I like to go for walks and play in the yard with Harper, another shelter dog. I am well mannered and know "Sit" and "Shake".   I am very friendly towards everyone.  I need the company of either a person or another animal to be content.  Shelter life has not been easy for me. I would do best with a family that someone is home most of the time.  I do not like to be crated or kept in any enclosure.  I'm not a big fan of the kiddie swimming pool.  I stand on the outside next to the pool and drink out of it, but I don't get in it.   I am house trained.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm tested, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.

Story
Hello. My name is Susie Q and I am approximately 10 months old. I am a chihuahua/terrier mix. I am currently living in a very loving home, but unfortunately, I have way too much energy for my current family’s needs. They would like to see me in a home with people young enough to play with me. I have been trained on puppy pads and do pretty well on those. I am up-to-date on shots and will be spayed before I am adopted. I will also be micro chipped. Please help me find a home where I can get out my energy and have someone to play with. My adoption fee is $175. If you are interested in Susie Q, please visit www.pawscare.org, and click on the online application. We require the application to be filled out and approved prior to meeting him as all of ouru animals are in private foster homes. Please fill out all information as we cannot process incomplete applications. A phone number for your veterinarian is a must. We CANNOT process your application without a vet phone number.
