Story
Semi trained, Harold is used to running free, but has also been trained with an underground fence/collar and definitely respects the beep. He knows his boundaries and won't dig or try to get under any fences. But, if he smells a mole he will definitely dig up the run and find the mole. He is such a great dog loves everyone and any other dogs. Very loyal, follows you everywhere, bike, leash, golf cart everywhere just wants to be with you. He was originally as a puppy trained to be house trained but has been in a garage plus outside, and so has lost a bit of the control. Only 7 years old has never been aggressive or a menace we are relocating and cant take him with us. Fantastic loyal dog. Breaks my heart. Harold will love and be kind to anyone that loves him back. He loves to play and especially belly rubs. Loves cookies (dog bones) easily trained

Story
Jeff was dropped off at our house this summer. Very good dog, fully trained (house trained, kennel trained, listens to commands, etc.). He looks really neat with the two colored eyes. We had him neutered, shots, etc. He had bad skin when dropped off but we cleared that up. Vet thinks he is about 1 year old. He is very good with our older dog and adults but gets too excited with kids. We have too many kids in our family and will be babysitting my nieces newborn come February. Super hard rehoming him, he is the sweetest dog, just not great around kids. We just want him to go to a good home, he deserves that!

Story
Hi, my name is Sadie and I'm almost 10 years old.  I was originally adopted from Bond County Humane Society (BCHS) when I was about 5 months old.  I have lived with my adopters and 2 other dogs until I was surrendered back to BCHS in Sept 2025.  The family has split up and they could not keep me or the other dogs because their living situation changed.  I am currently living in a foster home.  It is just me and my foster mom in the home.  I like the peace and quiet of my foster home.  I don't like a lot of noise and activity.  My foster mom says I am super sweet and smart.  I am an alarm barker so when I hear someone or something I let you know and my bark is intimidating.  Little does a stranger know that I am totally harmless.  As soon as someone enters the house I'm fine and I go sit by my foster mom.  I am timid with strangers until I get to know them.  I am in good health.  I did desperately need a dental and that has been completed.  I had to have 13 teeth removed.  A bloodwork panel was done on me and everything is in normal range.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm tested, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is by donation.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.October 30, 2025, 3:59 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Barney and I'm about 6 months old.  Me and my litter mate, Betsy, were rescued by Bond County Humane Society from a shelter in KY.  When we arrived we were severely underweight caused by infestation of parasites.  We were treated and we have thrived and grown tremendously after receiving treatment.  I am friendly and affectionate.  I love playing with toys if I'm not playing with Jake, another dog at the shelter.  I am working on my puppy manners. So far I know "Sit".  I will do anything you want me to do for a treat.  I have not been around small children so I will need supervision to make sure I don't get too rowdy.  I am working on house training and I am crate trained.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $300.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.December 6, 2025, 10:22 am

Story
Hi, my name is Jake and I'm about 8 months old.  Me and my litter mate, Maggie, were rescued by Bond County Humane Society from a kill shelter in TN.  We were found as strays when we were about 10 weeks old.  I am friendly and love attention.  I am not very interested in toys.  I love food and being with people.  I like to go for leash walks and run in the yard.  I am still working on my puppy manners.  I know "Sit" and "Down" for treats.   I'm very smart, alert and watch everything going on around me. When I get excited all my manners are temporarily forgotten.  I need a lot of exercise to help me have a release for my energy.   I am good with other dogs and would do well with another dog with my energy level.  It would be helpful if my adopter(s) had some previous experience with dogs like me.  I have seen cats, but have not had any interaction with them.  I am crate trained.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm tested, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $300.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org.  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.December 8, 2025, 3:08 pm

Story
Rhae is a sweet, playful, and loving dog with a goofy, energetic personality. She loves attention, enjoys being around people, and settles in well once she’s had some playtime. She’s crate- and potty-trained, and she picks up routines quickly smart and food-motivated. She has her rabies and distemper shots. She is not spayed. I am including her crate and any leftover food so she can transition easily into her new home.
