Story

When I got zues he was 8 weeks old, I lived in the country on 6 acres w/ most of it fenced. didn't work and got to spend everyday with him. Life happens and it took my life in a very different direction. I moved into town into a small house with a very small yard. I started working full time & school. Since then my heeler has started being very mean to him and I can't give him the love and attention he needs. She can't be adopted out due to her aggressiveness so this very hard decision must be made. Hes a very good, loving boy. Hes full blooded & in tact. He gets so excited about little things. Walks decent on a leash. potty trained. never been crated. Doesnt get into stuff or chew on things runs free inside when im gone. Doesn’t chew on or destroy things. Sleeps inside. LOVES squeaky toys and LOVES kids. Always been good with dogs and curious about cats. Barks at them, never tried to hurt them. Adoption fee suggested by site to discourage those not serious. Can talk with right person

Roscoe is just an absolutely outstanding boy. He makes no mess in his kennel and is very gentle and well mannered on leash. We have paired Roscoe with various other dogs and he is always tolerant and playful. Please come down to Macoupin County Animal Control and view Roscoe for adoption. Our hours are Weekdays 10-2, closed Tuesday, and Saturday 8-12.

My family adopted Molly Aug. 24, 2024 from a breeder in MO. She is fully potties trained and crate trained. She does get a long with cats but it depends on the cat honestly. She gets along with our older dog some of the time but I think there is some dominance going on between them. So an only dog in home might be best unless you can do some training. Anything is possible. Molly is a sweet pup with lots of energy. She loves to play but she loves to snuggle. She hunts in our yard. Birds, squirrel, butterflies, bugs..cute to watch. This is really hard to do…I don’t want to give her up or rehome her but I feel like it is in the best interest of her that she finds a home that has more space and not worry about fighting with a dog. I want her to go to a loving family who will take care of her and love her like she deserves. She is an inside dog and has been since we got her.

Millie aka Potato aka Loaf aka Butterball is the most wonderful girl. She walks perfect on and off leash, does not mess in her kennel and does not show any interest in cats. She doesn’t beg food from kids and she gets along well with calm dogs. Millie was reported to have been thrown from a car and left on the side of the road and we just can’t figure out why. Millie desperately needs a diet and some walks. Come down to Macoupin County Animal control and give her a few squeezes and possibly take her home. Our hours are Weekdays 10-2, closed Tuesday, and Saturday 8-12

Semi trained, Harold is used to running free, but has also been trained with an underground fence/collar and definitely respects the beep. He knows his boundaries and won't dig or try to get under any fences. But, if he smells a mole he will definitely dig up the run and find the mole. He is such a great dog loves everyone and any other dogs. Very loyal, follows you everywhere, bike, leash, golf cart everywhere just wants to be with you. He was originally as a puppy trained to be house trained but has been in a garage plus outside, and so has lost a bit of the control. Only 7 years old has never been aggressive or a menace we are relocating and cant take him with us. Fantastic loyal dog. Breaks my heart. Harold will love and be kind to anyone that loves him back. He loves to play and especially belly rubs. Loves cookies (dog bones) easily trained

Jeff was dropped off at our house this summer. Very good dog, fully trained (house trained, kennel trained, listens to commands, etc.). He looks really neat with the two colored eyes. We had him neutered, shots, etc. He had bad skin when dropped off but we cleared that up. Vet thinks he is about 1 year old. He is very good with our older dog and adults but gets too excited with kids. We have too many kids in our family and will be babysitting my nieces newborn come February. Super hard rehoming him, he is the sweetest dog, just not great around kids. We just want him to go to a good home, he deserves that!
