Story
Willow is house broken and also uses a wireless collar to go outside since we live out in the country. Willow loves to play ball. Willow in the last 2 years has gotten protective of me and barks and growls at my husband, then wags her tail. She also barks and growls at my sons, but not my daughter. I bought Willow from a breeder in the fall of 2023. She always follows me around where ever I am. Willow seems to be a bully when barking at my husband, because she will also wag her tail. I took Willow last year to a trainer, but that has not helped the barking at men. Willow is very loyal to me and women. Willow would make a female person very happy. No matter what he tries to do with her, she still growls when she comes between me and my husband.

Story
Lumi is a very sweet and loving 2 year old girl. She's an AKC certified dog and had been in many shows. Her father place in Westminster Abbey. Unfortunately our toy poodle isn't fond of her and has been suffering major depression since she joined our home. Due to this fact, with a heavy heart we need to find her a good home.

Story
Shunka is a 2 year old shepard/collie mix. He's very sweet and always ready for a car ride or to play catch. We unfortunately have to re-home him due to his herding instincts; he will not stop herding our oldest dog and it's leading to fights now (he gets along well with our other dog). My daughter moved back home with a cat recently and he won't let the cat come upstairs. He needs a home that doesn't have other pets. He does okay with kids and strangers but has to be watched around very small children because he does jump up when he's excited. He is an excellent guard dog, he only barks if someone is outside of the house (or if you're keeping a toy/ball from him).He is potty trained, he will let you know when he needs to go outside by pawing at you and whining. He really is just the sweetest baby that needs a more experienced owner or a home without other cats or dogs.

Story
We adopted Holly when she was 8 weeks old. She is now 5 yrs. And 9 months. Holly currently has issues with anxiety stemming from outside influences such as storms, just rain, fireworks, odd noises, loud noises, etc…The level of anxiety ranges depending upon what she is actually hearing. At the “bad” end of the spectrum she pant heavily and climb up on anything she can, including us. She can be destructive and hurtful at these times and we have resorted to placing her in a reinforced crate in our bedroom. She takes fluoxetine daily and other prescribed medications when we know an event is coming.Holly wasn’t always like this. Early on she seemed normal, would go on walks and play with other dogs. There must have been something that started all this but we don’t know what. Her anxiety has gotten to the point that nothing works and it’s almost daily know. She now starts to “wig out” for no reason that we tell her. This is a sad time for my wife and I. We’re retired and now at our wits end

Story
Jane is searching for the place she’ll finally call home. We have loved her deeply and have invested countless hours working with professional trainers to help Jane become the best version of herself. We stood by her through every challenge, celebrated every bit of progress, and given her every opportunity to succeed. Now, our family prepares to welcome a baby, we have had to make one of the hardest decisions a pet owner can face: recognizing that what is best for Jane may no longer be what we can provide. Jane is a rescue dog and has fear aggression. She can be sweet but very unpredictable. We know she was found abandoned in a trailer, we learned what environment gives her the best chance to thrive. 🏡 Jane’s ideal forever home: 💙 An adult, female-only household where she feels safest and most comfortable. 💙 A child-free home. 💙 A calm, predictable lifestyle. Jane is able to attend veterinary appointments and can board with The Distracted Dog or Waggin’ Tales! Thanks.
