Story
Scout He is 3yr old. GSD/mini Aussie mix. We've had him as a foster for almost 2yrs. Looking for a special home with someone experienced with reactive dogs. He would take time to bond but once he does he is a very lovey, loyal, and protective of his person as GSD and Aussies can be. He knows many commands and I have no doubt he has the potential for much more! He has also been trained to wear a muzzle for safety. He is terrified of being crated but does good left out. He is trained around poultry and has been in a home with older kids, small dogs, and cats. HOWEVER he has shown EXTREME reactivity to other dogs. I tried to implement the bubble theory in training but our neighborhood is not conducive for Scout and he has not shown improvement. Professional trainer assessment agreed he is not fearful reactive but dominate reactive. I am only looking for an experienced home with a fenced in yard with privacy. No dogs and no kids! He is a special case but he is an amazing dog!

Story
Zeus is an amazing dog, he is good with kids, cats, snakes and all sorts of breeds. It breaks my heart to have to rehome him but my daughter has been struggling through asthma. They recommended she not be around him but that's quite impossible as they love him. He turned 6yrs old December of 2025. We removed him off listing because it breaks our heart letting him go, but his brother got rehomed, and he needs more love than we can give him.

Story
Chewie is a big boy who loves being outside and chewing on his bones. He is goofy and curious about others (animals and humans). He is not a hyper, super active dog. Chewie was adopted outside of St. Louis at 12 weeks old. He has done well with my children and other pets, but can be skiddish with strangers. I think he would be perfect somewhere with open land and not a lot of surprise visitors.

Story
I'm a sweet boy but am having issues with apartment living as I get older. My dad wants to give me a chance to have more space and opportunities for outdoor activities in my golden years. The vet says I still have the health and energy of a puppy. If you need a partner for outdoor adventures without the mischief of a puppy, I could be the one for you.

Jack Russell Terrier

Female, Adult
Peoria, IL
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Miss Chloe is looking for a fur-ever home; one that has people who love and understand Terriers. She needs socializing, so she can learn to be around other people. Activities that stimulate her mind and her body are a plus. She loves to go on walks or rides in the car. She prefers being the only dog, but may tolerate others. Older children may be a good match for her, if they will give her space and allow her to grow comfortable with them. "Her Highness" is very intelligent. She even "talks," on occasion. Her favorite place to relax is in her "day bed" where she partially covers herself. At night, she covers herself with her blanket in her kennel. Chloe doesn't like being alone. So, if you're a homebody, she'd like that. Come and meet her.

American Pit Bull Terrier

Female, Puppy
Peoria, IL
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Talia and Bane were found wandering the streets in Xmas day. They were taken to the local shelter in the hope their family would claim them, but sadly they did not. The pair were scheduled to be put down so I took them back in to find a better home. The pair are loving and sweet, full of playful energy but perfectly content snuggled up with their people and each other. Would prefer to rehome them together, but would both thrive independently as well.
