Story
Hi guys, I'm Buddy! I am 1.5 years old, and I have the energy to prove it! I would make a great companion for an active family, and I do well with other dogs, but I am dominant when it comes to other males. I am treat motivated, and I love to spend my free time chasing balls! When I first came in, I had a lot of trouble with my ears but the staff and veterinarian have taken good care of me, so they are much better now! I will always have the cauliflower ears, but they do not bother me any longer! I am a good boy just looking for a home where we can share lots of attention and lovings! Please come out to meet me today!I have been at the shelter for quite some time now, and it is really weighing on my stress levels. I hope someone will come to meet me soon as I promise I am a good boy. Sometimes I can seem off-putting at first, but that is just until I realize I can trust you. You see, I came in as a stray and I don't want that life again. I may be losing the hope out of my eyes, but when I realize I am in a safe and warm home... That is the dream and I am yearning for it! Story
Hi, I'm Serena and I am 5 years old! I am the sweetest, goodest girl once I am comfortable around you! I am shy at first, but when I realize we are friends, get ready for lots of energy and to wrestle! I love to play, including with the water hose! I am cat friendly, but I can be picky on my doggy friends because I like to be the one in charge, especially during play time. I would do wonderful in a one person home or with a couple that has older kids. I used to be an emotional support dog, and I have saved my person's life a few times, but due to circumstances that were of no fault of mine, I had to be surrendered here to the shelter. I would love to find my furever home soon so please come out to meet me!Some quick facts about me: Cat FriendlyDog SelectiveKid Friendly (ages 12+)HousetrainedSweet & SillyWeight: 73lbsIntake Date: 01/20/2024Reason: Unsuitable AccommodationsGive the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! Story
Hi there! I'm Louie and I'm 9 years young! I am a sweet, sweet boy that loves to be by your side! I am a good boy that loves to be with my people, and I can't wait to find a home where I can relax on some comfy blankets in front of a fire and watch TV with my family. I would do best in a home with no other pets, but I like human children because people are just my favorite beings, and I want to please! I am already housetrained, and I know some commands too! I am well mannered and I walk well on a leash. I hope you'll come out to meet me soon and that my age doesn't scare you away. Story
Well hello there!!! I am Harley and I am 2.5 years old! I love to cuddle, but watch your face because I will give you all the kisses I can! I am a wiggly, goofy girl who loves to play. I like to go outside and explore on walks. I am very food and treat motivated. I am a good girl but can seem kind of shy at first, so treats are a good way to my heart (and my belly). I would love for you to take me outside and play with me and get to know me! I am currently in a foster home! Here is what my foster mama says about me:"I’m a sweet, goofy, laid back girl who’s looking for a home with lots of snuggly blankets where I can feel safe while I learn to be a dog again ❤️My foster family doesn’t know my story but they understand that I need a quiet, predictable environment with lots of love to help me come out of my shell. I’m about two years old so please understand I’m still learning a lot about the world, and I’m in search of a confident pack leader to help me explore everything that I’m so curious about! When I’m feeling comfortable and energetic, my young, silly personality starts to come out, and I love to jump around and play with my ball! I’ve heard that I have cat-like hops too 😏 I can easily transition from play time to chill time and I would love to nap with you. I’m a very food motivated gal who is eager to learn as long as you’re patient with me. I’m currently practicing proper manners with my foster mom and progressing well! Mom says I’m very smart and lets me solve lots of treat puzzles! When I’m happy and wanting attention I like to plop down on your lap and give kisses so be ready! I’m cat friendly but would be best getting acclimated to a confident cat who is willing to meet me and show me the boundaries. I love to play with my toddler foster sibling, however I think I would appreciate older, more predictable children to help me adjust into a proper feeling of security and safety. I’m very dog friendly/curious and can get frustrated when I can’t meet another friend. I would love an older balanced dog to show me the ropes! I do well in the car, and I am crate trained and do very well overnight!"To meet Harley, an appointment needs to be scheduled if you would like to come and meet her. This will occur at the shelter during business hours. She is about 38 lbs. Some quick facts about me: Cat SelectiveDog FriendlyKid Friendly (ages 5+)Sweet girl Weight: 53 lbsIntake Date: 12/07/2023Reason: Stray found in WarsawGive the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me!
