Story
Chase 1 Year old Yellow Lab. Fully vetted.  Chase! 1-2 years old. Yellow Lab. I LOVE DOGS  A little Scared of New people, but working on it.  I need a home with older kids who are calmer. Probably teenage or older.  I am house broken and do well in a crate. My training is going well so far, my foster mom says I walk nicely on a leash when I am in my own back yard but get a little scared when going out to public and will pancake.  I would really benefit from some confidence courses!   If you’re looking for another dog to add to your pack or just a companion for adventures, I’m your guy! Just tell the people you want to meet me, Chase! A secure fenced yard is required for Chase or he will need to be leash walked outside.  Please live within 1 hour of Elkhart IN or Plymouth IN.   To apply for adoption please visit: www.trackingintheshadows.com ##2156343##

Story
Bella is a beautiful shepherd/ collie mix. She is approximately 4 years old and weighs around 45#. Bella was dumped on a rural road and a wonderful family caught her in their garage after neighbors saw her for a few days on their cameras. Bella is the sweetest girl!!  She likes playing with other dogs and has loved my older boys who are 12 and 15.  She likes to be loved on and likes to give lots of kisses if you let her.  She has been kenneled and is crate trained.  She seems very smart and has picked up on our routines very quickly.  She goes back into her kennel on command, however, she does wait patiently for a treat for being such a good girl. Bella does need a secure fenced yard.  We have been working with her on not jumping on you when she greets you, as she likes to jump up and say hi, and she has gotten much better. She is very content in her kennel but looks forward to getting outside and of course getting some lovins!! Bella has not been tested with cats, but we can do that if needed. Bella is a smart dog who would love a family of her own. We do have Bella on a joint supplement as she sometimes gets stiff after laying down. Our vet felt she had moderate hip displaysia aftet viewing her xrays and would definetly benefit from taking a joint supplement daily. Bella has been fully vetted. If you would like to meet Bella please visit www.trackingintheshadows.com Adoption fee $200.  She is fully vetted for 1 year, spayed, microchipped, & on preventatives. Please live within an hour of Elkhart, IN to apply. *We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved.* ##2205981##

Ruby does well with dogs & cats.  Older children would be appreciated. She will need a secure fenced yard. If you know Beagles they will follow their noses anywhere and everywhere. Ruby will climb a chain-link fence. For this reason we are seeking a home with a wood fence or someone willing and able to install tie outs or overhead runs. Ruby is an active girl who would love adventures to get her energy out. Ruby will need slow intros with humans. She is a little shy at first. With Patience, love, and treats she will come around and love the attention. Rosie is crate trained & housebroken, but with a new routine may need time to adjust. Applications for adoption are at www.trackingintheshadows.com. Please live within an hour of Elkhart IN or Cassopolis MI to apply. Adoption fee $0 All pets in the home must be up to date on vaccines. Story
Zuri - 1 Years old. 75Lbs. German Shepherd  Zuri came to me on October 21st from Knox Indiana. I was able to live trap her after she had been hanging out at a homeowners house since around July.   The homeowner was able to shut her into an outdoor run but eventually let her go after she couldn't find a shelter or rescue to take her. Everyone was full.  While in the outdoor dog run, Zuri became extremely depressed and shut down and so she was given her freedom back until we came along.    While in my care Zuri took about 2 weeks to warm up to me and then another 1,5 weeks after that to warm up to the dogs. She is meeting other dogs and people at a much faster pace now. Still shy, I hope to see her confidently meet new friends in the months coming as she becomes more comfortable with her surrounding environment and builds trust with people.   Now fully integrated with two dogs in her foster home she is a playful and loving dog.  Zuri has lots to learn and I am in no hurry to place her but wanted to share her story with everyone in case there is a special adopter just waiting to take her home.   I am looking for someone who is committed to her needs and continuing classes to help build her confidence.  Zuri is still learning to live inside a home.  At first she was very anxious and paced and whined a lot. Nowadays, she enjoys snuggling on the couch, chewing on a bone and playing with her toys. Zuri is fully housebroken here but we go out often so I have not given her the opportunity to have an accident here. Zuri does not like to be crated and is currently working through separation anxiety. She will need a strong crate to keep her contained and safe while her owners are away from the home.  Zuri is enrolled in classes and is seeing a trainer for help and tips to work through separation anxiety and hopefully help her overcome it soon. She is loyal and loving, sweet and silly.  Zuri will need a secure fenced yard.  Preferably 6ft.   Although she has never tried to jump the 4ft side of my fence I totally think she can and will if given the opportunity or left alone.  Medical: Zuri has been fully vetted including spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and has her bordatella. She was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and we are almost finished with her 30 days of antibitoics. While Lyme disease is not curable, she will need to be on prevention monthly to keep her safe and help her lyme exposure numbers to go down.  Her adoption fee is $200 and you can find an application on our website. www.trackingintheshadows.com ##2213085##
