We are now accepting applications on Diesel! This little Diesel engine is 10 yrs old & 8 lbs. Don't let his age fool you! He is quite spry & runs around with dogs 1/2 his age just fine! Diesel is a velcro dog & really just wants to be adored by his person all day long. He is dog friendly but would also be fine as an only dog. He can be cat tested if needed. Diesel is doing fantastic with house training; he'd do best with a regular potty schedule. There may be some potty accidents as he adjusts to your schedule but he wears belly bands like a champ! He does fine in a crate as well. We were told Diesel was around children in the past. He can get nippy when he is scared so children 12+ who know to give him space when needed should be fine. He will need slow intros to new people. Diesel walks well on a leash. He does not need a fenced in yard but should always be kept on a leash when outside. Diesel is a happy & healthy boy with a lot of love to give! If you love chihuahuas as much as I do, he will be a great addition to your family. He is fully vetted for 1 year, neutered, microchipped, & on monthly preventatives. He also recently had a dental with 15 extractions so keeping up on his dental hygiene is a must. Once approved, we will set up a day/time for you to meet Diesel. Please be ready to take him home within 1-3 days after application approval. *We do not accept electric/underground fences. Rocket is a 2 year old Shihtzu mix who came to us from a hoarding case up in Michigan. We took five of these guys at the same time and two of them posted positive for heartworm disease. Unfortunately Rocket was one of them. After speaking with our vet we don’t see any reason why he can’t move to a foster to adopt home while he undergoes treatment at our vet clinic. It’s about a 4-5 month process which will require a couple of vet visits and medication at home. For this reason he needs to stay local to Plymouth. Rocket is extremely dog friendly. He gets along with the entire crew. He does well with cats but chases them to play. So a tolerant cat is needed. He’s also working on house training. He was kept in a shed so he is still learning where appropriate potty locations are. He’s done well here if I sit outside with him and make sure he goes before we come inside. At 8 months old she has proven to be a smart little girl. Trapped by Kira and Selina she adjusted to a routine and has learned that people are ok. Lory catches on quickly to the routine of the house and has done great with housetraining. Along the way she has made many furry friends at our home. Dogs of all different sizes and personalities and she has accepted them all. Although some are far more fun than others. We have found that cats are fun to chase and torment. A home with no cats is required. Lory also needs a fenced yard to zoom around in. If you have thought about adopting a dog that loves children or a walking partner. Maybe a playmate for your dog. Lory would be a great fit. She has so much to learn. She would excel in puppy classes and could even do agility. While she loves to play she is also a cuddle bug and gives lot's of kisses.
