Story
Jackson is in need of a good home due to our family growing and living in town. I will be physically unable to care for him during my surgery recovery and beyond. He is playful, loves to be around his family, and has never ever had an issue with any of our 4 small children. We adopted him when he was 1 and our youngest child was 6 months old. I believe he'd do well with other dogs, once he gets over his husky timidity. He is not an alpha dog, as he usually shows submissive tendencies. He is very smart and knows a lot of different commands. He has never tried, nor taken, the chance to escape. We keep him on our line when he is out in the backyard because we do not have a high fence and don't want to take any chances. Loves walks and running at the dog park. Rehoming fee includes food, water bowls, a small crate, toys, leash, and a brand new flea collar.

Story
Heartworm Positive!   Carter is undergoing heartworm treatment and available for a foster to adopt home while he finishes his treatment. Its covered by the rescue under our account at our clinic..    Carter is a 5 year old 70lb Labrador Retriever. He currently lives with 3 dogs his size and does wonderfully.  He does do better with dogs who keep to themselves or will need a few week transition period before he feels comfortable enough to play.  He's a loyal companion who likes to follow you room to room and sleep in your bed. He does well in a crate and is completely housebroken.    Carter does have some intense hunting skills and will survey the yard head to toe in search of critters and will keep himself occupied with this.  He does need to be accompanied outside if there is a 4 foot fence, but if a 6 foot fence, he can probably just be checked on occasionally. Right now we do short potty breaks because he is not allowed to get his heart rate up while undergoing treatment. Carter does need to stay within an hour of Plymouth. Story
Meet Maple Maple was a stray from our local shelter and is estimated between 2-3 years old! Although she is 9.5 pounds, she has a big fun personality! Maple loves playing with toys and running in the yard. She enjoys playing with other dogs but can easily occupy herself as well. When she’s not playing, she’s a complete lap dog. She loves being held like a baby or wrapping herself in a warm blanket. Like a typical small dog, Maple does bark at strangers so a household with few visitors might be best for her. She does well with dogs, children, and has not been cat tested. Maple is crate trained, potty trained, and knows sit. She is a flight risk so an adopter must be committed to leash walking her or having a very secure fence.  If you’re interested in adopting Maple, please apply online at https://www.trackingintheshadows.com. Adoption fee is $200. All dogs are spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines. We do not adopt to homes with underground/electric fencing. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. Applications for adoption are at www.trackingintheshadows.com  Maple's adoption fee is $200.  She is fully vetted for 1 year, spayed, microchipped, & on monthly preventatives. Once approved, we will set up a day/time for you to meet Maple.  Please be ready to take her home within 1-3 days after application approval. *We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved.* Please live within 1 hour of South Bend or Elkhart, IN. ##2577780##

Story
Meet Brody! Brody is 17lbs and estimated to be a 1-year-old dachshund mix. Whatever the mix is, all I can say is that Brody seems to only have inherited the best qualities from each side! I am confident this boy will find his perfect forever home in no time, and I will tell you why: Brody is the most loving dog I've ever met. I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST ADOPTING BRODY if you do not like dogs that will be glued to your lap/waist anytime you sit on the couch or lie in bed! He is a true companion, which makes me believe the half-dachshund suspicion is very accurate Facts about Brody. Brody is amazingly potty trained: he sits by the door when he needs to go out and waits! Loves walks: gets politely excited when he sees his leash, is eager to put it on and has never barked at anyone we have encountered thus far (likely thanks to the non-dachshund side of his mix). He also just guides me back home when he is done Loves sleeping on the bed: LOVES to cuddle and sleep next to you, either under the covers or right by your pillow! Loves eating treats, cream cheese, playing with toys (especially squeaky ones!) and balls. Great with other dogs: has never barked or reacted to our dachshund Freddie. Great in car rides! Has a uniquely cute leg: Brody’s left front paw has a slight outward curve, called a valgus deformity. His is a mild case and is manageable by keeping him at a healthy weight Brody deserves a family that will give him as much love as he gives everyone he meets. Brody does not require a fenced yard as long as you are willing to take him on walks and give him the exercise he needs to maintain a healthy weight. He will do best in a house with someone who is home more than gone.    If you’re interested in adopting Brody, please apply online at https://www.trackingintheshadows.com. We do not adopt to homes with underground/electric fencing. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $200. ##2588441##
