Ace is 12 months old and is neutered and up to date on shots. He is not housebroken broken and has destroyed to cages. I am not home all the time as I work full-time. Ace is good with my children and with my 2 other dogs in the home and my cat. He has gotten out of the house and his kennel too many times and I have received too many tickets. Looking for an experienced adopter who is able to give him plenty of exercise and is home often. He needs a fence. A fence is a must. He also likes to counter surf.

Story
Jackson is in need of a good home due to our family growing and living in town. I will be physically unable to care for him during my surgery recovery and beyond. He is playful, loves to be around his family, and has never ever had an issue with any of our 4 small children. We adopted him when he was 1 and our youngest child was 6 months old. I believe he'd do well with other dogs, once he gets over his husky timidity. He is not an alpha dog, as he usually shows submissive tendencies. He is very smart and knows a lot of different commands. He has never tried, nor taken, the chance to escape. We keep him on our line when he is out in the backyard because we do not have a high fence and don't want to take any chances. Loves walks and running at the dog park. Rehoming fee includes food, water bowls, a small crate, toys, leash, and a brand new flea collar.

Story
Carter is a sweet, handsome yellow Lab who truly believes he’s a 20-lb lap dog. Once he’s comfortable, he’s incredibly affectionate, snuggly, & loves being close to his people—on his terms. He’s food-motivated & enjoys learning, making training fun & rewarding. Carter is house-trained, potty-trained, & crate-trained, & does well having his own space. He has a nice balance of independence & cuddle time. Carter is still working on leash manners & can pull, but he’s been making steady progress. He’s also improving with food-guarding behaviors through consistent training & management. He would do best in a home with older, respectful children & calm, well-mannered dogs who respect boundaries. Carter isn’t a fan of pushy dogs & prefers companions who mind their business. Carter does have a prey drive. He currently lives with a rabbit & a cat—he shows little interest in the bunny but does get excited around the cat. A cat-free home or one experienced with dog-cat management would be ideal. Ideal Home A calm, structured home with patient, dog-savvy adopters who will continue working on leash skills, food behaviors, & boundaries. Carter would thrive as an only dog or with a low-key canine companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly Lab who just wants a safe place to land, Carter has so much love to give! Carter's adoption fee is $0  He is fully vetted for 1 year, Neutered, microchipped, & on monthly preventatives. He did finish heartworm treatement and needs retested in 5 months. Once approved, we will set up a day/time for you to meet Carter.  Please be ready to take him home within 1-3 days after application approval. *We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved.* Please live within 1 hour of Elkhart, Indiana ##2550206##

Story
Gracie is ready for her new family!  Gracie came to the rescue with 2 small puppies.  They have been successfully weaned & we have found new families for them.  Now it is Gracie's turn! Gracie is 1 year old Cocker Spaniel + Pomeranian mix.  She weighs approx. 18 lbs.  She is very dog friendly!  She loves playing with dog friends & toys. She loves to run & play in the snow.  I do not know how she is with cats but she can be cat tested if needed.  Gracie is fearful of new people so she will need slow intros.  She will need a patient family that understands it may take a couple of days for her to warm up to anyone new.  After you have gained her trust she becomes a velcro dog & follows you everywhere you go.  She would not be a good fit for someone with young children as she would likely knock them over.  She's young & has lots of energy! Gracie is decent on a leash but would also love the opportunity to run around in a fenced in yard.  The fence needs to be a minimum of 48"/4 feet.  Gracie would be a great candidate for agility as she can (& will) jump the baby gates in her foster home.  She hasn't had any potty accidents in 4 weeks but we are on a very regular potty schedule.  We are working on crate training & it is going very well.   Gracie's adoption fee is $200.  She is fully vetted for 1 year, spayed, microchipped, & on prevention.  Applications to adopt are at www.trackingintheshadows.com.  Applicant must live within 1 hour of Elkhart IN.  Once approved we will contact you to set up a date/time to meet Gracie.  She is ready to go home today so be prepared to meet her and take her home within 1-3 days of application approval.  *We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved.* ##2609209##

Story
Kacey is a six week old Pomeranian and Cocker Spaniel Mix. Parents pictures are included.  Their dad is 6 lbs and the mom is 18 lbs.   I do expect them to be closer to the Mom's weight since they are already 4 lbs.    Kacey is fun and adventurous and loves to play.  She definitely has more energy than her sister and can hold her own. Her mom and her play often.   Kacey is currently litter box training which can easily be transitioned to her new home and then outside.  We do this to teach them to potty in one location based on texture and smell.   We started around 4 weeks old. While she is still learning she is doing great!    This is a smart and vibrant puppy and we are looking for an active family willing to jump right into puppy classes using positive reinforcement.   She is scheduled for a spay at 12 weeks old which we will cover at our vet in Plymouth.  She can go home after 8 weeks as a foster until her spay is completed at 12 weeks old. She will have age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, bordatella and prevention.   Once approved, we will set up a day/time for you to meet her.  Please be ready to take her home within 1-3 days after application approval if she is age appropriate.  *We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved.* Please live within 1 hour of Elkhart, Indiana ##2609232##
