Story
Hi there! I'm Zora and I am 5 years old. I am a sweet girl that is very loving and cuddly once I get to know you! I am a little wary of strangers, but when I realize you are not going to hurt me or my people, we are good! I do very well with kids and consider them my own! I can be hyper when I want to but for the most part, I am just a chill gal. While I am not a fan of other dogs, I have successfully lived with a cat before! There are times when I really don't act my age... I love tug of war and I will win. I love to play fetch (though this old dog could learn a new trick of 'drop it') and will chase balls all day until I tire myself out! My owner could not keep me for reasons outside of my control. They let the shelter know that I am housetrained and cratetrained, loving and cuddly and do well with kids!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Story
Hello, hello! My name is Angel and my name matches my personality! I am the sweetest girl ever, and I am adored by volunteers! I enjoy playing ball but I'm mostly just a relaxed girly that really enjoys a soft couch to snooze on. I came into the shelter as a stray, but my owners had put me on a rehoming site so staff was able to snag a little bit of information about me. My owners stated that I am housetrained, good with cats as I lived with three of them, good with kids and that I also lived with another dog. They did not mention why I needed to be rehomed. While I am a friendly girl to my people, staff hasn't gotten me to enjoy the company of other dogs yet, but maybe they just haven't found the right dog to pair me with! I do well surrounded by other dogs (I have been to adoption events successfully), but once they push past my boundaries, I can get a little upset. What can I say, I like my space! You'll see in my photos that I was at a healthy weight... but I am really struggling here in the shelter environment. The constant stress and loud noises makes me go a little crazy in my cage and I jump and jump and jump, and I have lost quite a bit of weight. Staff feeds me more than any other dog here, but I am burning those calories trying to figure out how to get out... While my weight loss could easily be caused by stress and my tummy not agreeing with donated food, staff will be performing a fecal sample (in the works as of June 4th) to see if there is anything else going on that could be causing some of my weight issues. But really, I am a sweetheart that can't wait to find a home of my own where I can lounge around and sleep.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!
