Story
Update 11/26/24...They have arrived!!! The 4 Irish Setters are now with us here in rescue. The male is to the far right in the picture and the smallest female is the one laying down. All of them have a sweet disposition and are happy to be with us. They have a birth date of 10/12/23. They are extremely sweet, a bit fearful from lack of love, and on the thin side. We did have one scheduled for a spay or neuter tomorrow, however we have decided to let them settle in before dragging them back out for surgery..... Please know the 4 coming in are around a year old, they will need manners taught to them. I'm sure they have lived in kennels in a barn or outside housing. Once they are here with us in rescue they will be in a heated facility and have a soft bed, toys, treats, and have access to their very own doggy door with their own play yards. They will have their first bath every and see our vet for their full vetting. We normally only are able to get one spay/neuter a week unless there is another opening from someone canceling and then we are able to take that appointment as well. We will work on getting their spays/neuters done ASAP so we can get them placed in their forever homes and started on living their best life ever. We will give the option to send them home on a 30 day spay/neuter contract with a 125.00 rebate to help towards their spay/neuter. But please know you will be required to have the spay/neuter done within that 30 days. They will have all other vetting done if you choose that option. If you are interested in their adoption please text or email us to request an application. Please be sure to check your spam box for our reply. Thank you!

Story
Zeke is an 8 year old Australian shepherd dog that my fiancé and I took in about 2 weeks ago. He’s an extremely sweet cuddly dog that just needs more love and attention. The previous owner unfortunately had a growing family and just didn’t have time for Zeke anymore and we only took him in temporarily since we have other pets that take up to much of our time. We have fed Zeke in a crate since he’s not use to sharing food and wanted to eat from our other dogs bowl. Also he has had trouble crying at night time even with him sleeping in our bedroom so he will need a patient owner willing to take time and make him comfortable since I believe he has anxiety from moving homes. Other than that he has been tremendous and extremely sweet/ affectionate. Any questions about him please contact me. He is AKC registered and unfixed as well. Extremely well potty trained.

Story
Princess Diamond sure knows what it is like to be pampered. She likes to be catered to, does things at her own pace, when she is ready and when she is up to it. She can be a little shy when people she doesn’t know approach her too quickly, or when she is in places she is unfamiliar with. That said, at other times, she will surprise you by greeting new people with her butt wiggling. She will walk right up to the strangers, butt wiggles and all and solicit attention and affection. She doesn’t like to be picked up and sat in your lap when she isn’t the one to initiate it. However, when she feels like lap snuggles, she doesn’t care if you’re ready for it, she will leap in your lap and park herself there for snuggles and butt caresses. She also likes curling up next to you in bed. When you are not home, Diamond will sprawl out on your bed, because you know, it is hers, she just lets you lay in it. Although she is crate trained, she doesn’t need to be crated if home alone. She doesn’t get into things. She will nap or busy herself with toys, she LOVES toys Diamond is 6-7 years old, 10lbs Chihuahua. She is looking for a quiet home where she has a quiet, private Princess chamber to escape to. A home with older kids 13+ and dogs that are submissive would be ideal for Diamond . Diamond is crate trained, she loves car rides, and going for walks If you are interested in adopting her please email Bshrout@cityofmarion.in.gov
