Story
Meet the Southern boys 🏎️ 🤠 🏎️ Bo and Luke are father and son found dumped at a busy Kentucky rest stop. They were covered in ticks when they were picked up by their fosters. Our best guess on breed is Australian shepherd mixes. 🏎️ Bo is 4 months old and is a typical puppy. He loves to play, and play, and play! He's always ready to turn an ordinary day into an adventure. Bo loves to explore and learn new things. He’s super smart and has already learned “sit”. He is more than willing to learn more new things with his new family. Bo gets along fine with other dogs. He has not met any cats yet. 🏎️Both boys are VERY treat motivated and learn super quick. They are both working on potty training are already making great strides. They both easily go to their kennel especially if you have treats in your hand.🏎️The boys have started their vaccinations. Luke is scheduled to be neutered on 6/30. Bo will be neutered at a later date when he is old enough. The boys are not bonded and do not need to go together. 🏎️A rest stop was never meant to be their destination. Let's help find these boys their forever homes! If one or both of these southern boys have stolen your hearts, apply to adopt atwww.pawsofadamscounty.com/adoption-foster-appWhen applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Story
👑 Prince 👑💙Prince is a 2 year old, 68 pound pit bull mix. He appears to maybe have some American Bulldog in him? We pulled him along with Snow White and their 7 Dwarf puppies from the Indianapolis where they were “strays” so age and breeds are both estimated based on looks and health. 💚Prince is a very friendly, easy going guy. He is great with other dogs big and small, doesn’t mind cats and good with kids. He is crate trained and potty trained, walks well on leash and rides well in the car. 💜Prince is a good mix of goofy/playful and couch potato. He would love a home were he can lounge on the couch, play with another dog and cuddle with you in bed - make note: your spot in bed is his spot if you don’t beat him to it! 🧡In a perfect world, we would love for Prince and Snow White to be adopted together as they are very much BFFs but we know that is a very big ask. As long as they have other doggie companions that they can cuddle and play with; they should be just fine in separate homes. 💛Prince is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm tested negative and on heartworm prevention. Prince is more than ready for his forever home! If you are interested in adopting Prince please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application. Story
Golden years, golden heart! 💛Meet Fife! Fife is a 9-year-old dachshund mix weighing in at 25 lbs. This charming little guy is the definition of a gentle soul and is ready to spend his golden years soaking up love in a forever home.Fife is a laid-back boy who enjoys the simple things in life. He loves sunbathing in a cozy spot or lounging by your side. He’s a big fan of treats (seriously, they’re the way to his heart!) and happily keeps himself entertained with a good chew toy. His favorite place, though, is right next to you, soaking up belly rubs and snuggles.Fife has Addison’s disease, but don’t let that scare you. He’s thriving! With a simple routine of a monthly zycortal injection and a daily prednisone pill, he stays happy and healthy. Not to mention, he takes them like a champ! This sweet boy is both crate trained and potty trained. He’s great about letting you know when he needs to go outside and does best with regular potty breaks. He gets along well with other dogs, and occasionally gets the zoomies to play with his foster siblings. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids just yet.He loves to go on walks and walks nicely on a leash.Fife is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and on regular heartworm prevention—he’s all ready to head home with you!If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion with a heart of gold, Fife might just be your perfect match.. if you’re interested in our sweet old man, please visit: www.pawsofadamscounty.com and complete an adoption applicationWhen applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Story
Hi everybody, I'M CHAMP💙When I first came into rescue a few weeks ago, I was very timid and shy. They called me flapjack because I pancaked on the floor a lot. I have definitely come out of my shell and am turning into the perfect mix of playful and affectionate! 💙I am a border Collie mix and am approximately 6 months old. I currently weigh in at 32 pounds. 💙I love playing with the doodle gang here in my foster home, so I know I would definitely love to have a playmate to help me burn off some of my puppy energy! 💙I'm great with the cats and will sniff them (they smell funny) and just lay next to them. 💙I'm basically Mr. Congeniality with everyone! 💙I am crate trained andhave learned the doggy door very well. I'm actually a pretty smart boy! Oh, and did I mention handsome...with these blue eyes and all? 💙I am still a puppy, so I need guidance on all puppy matters....chewing, jumping up, play biting etc.I also don't remember ever wearing a collar or being hooked to this thing they call a leash...and it's a little scary! I'm still learning to trust that process, but I'm getting the hang of it! 💙I will steal your heart and be your best friend and a treasured part of your family if you adopt me! 💙I am available for foster-to-adopt with my adoption being finalized after my vetting is complete.I already started those poky things they call vaccines and microchips and started taking monthly heartworm prevention. My vetting will be completed by the end of the month after my neuter (I'm not sure I even want to know what that is)! 💙If you're interested in me becoming a part your family, please submit an adoption application at www.pawsofadamscounty.com.The ladies here say you must answer all questions completely and honestly to be considered being lucky enough to share your life with me! 💙I can't wait to meet my forever family! 💙www.pawsofadamscounty.com

We have not started house or crate training with him yet. Right now, Aramis believes the leash is the perfect toy for tug of war so he will still need work on leash training.Aramis came in with siblings, Maybelline and L’Oréal, and his mom, Revlon. He is good with other dogs and we see no reason that he wouldn’t be just fine with cats and kids. Story
🐡NEMO🐡🐙Nemo is a 30 pound, 1.5 year old border collie mix. We were told his mom had some German shepherd in her. Nemo was very shutdown when he first came in but has made great strides over time. He has learned to walk on leash and rides well in a car though he needs help getting into the car. 🪼Nemo is great with other dogs and would benefit from having another dog in the home. He definitely follows the lead of other dogs and loves to play chase and tug of war with them as well! He can be vocal when he plays. Nemo does require a physically fenced in yard. He also doesn’t mind cats but younger children may make him nervous. 🐠Nemo is crate trained and mostly potty trained but still having accidents in his crate at times while his foster mom is at work. He is not having any accidents in the house while he is loose while his foster mom is home or at night. He is currently sleeping in bed with his foster mom. 🦑Nemo is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested negative and on monthly heartworm prevention.
