Alfie is very food motivated and has done well with training in his foster home. He knows commands for sit, shake, come, and catch. He is fully housetrained and crate trained. He has been fostered with other dogs, should not be in a home with cats or small dogs.  He does well with children, due to his energy level, he would do best around children over 3 years old. He is a great car rider and would benefit from an active owner who will be able to continue his training in his forever home, well leash trained.   Alfie is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and is current on his heartworm and flea preventatives. About our Application Process: We do require an in home visit prior to adoption. Alfie's adoption fee is $250.00 Please review our adoption process at:  http://adoptarpo.org/adoption-process/.If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please complete the online Adoption Application.  If you would like to donate to this pet's care, please click here. If you are interested in adopting an ARPO pet, please visit our website, for details about our fees and process, and to complete our Adoption Application.   ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis.  We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes.  Hi, I'm Penny.  I was given to someone as a wedding gift.  They apparently couldn't see how fabulous I am and they surrendered me to a shelter.  I stayed there for a while and my time was running out.  Luckily ARPO came to my rescue and they're going to help me find a forever home.  I'm a beautiful, friendly girl who loves to play with other dogs. I do OK with cats but do want to play with them, which they don't always enjoy.  I like kids but can get jumpy with little ones.  I've still got some puppy energy and I'm a smart girl so a training class would be great.  My breed mix is anyone's guess, but they're calling me a Plott Hound mix.  I'm around one year old and weigh about 50 pounds and I'm housebroken and crate trained.   I'm also spayed, microchipped, current on my shots, and HW negative.  If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application and my friends with ARPO will be in touch!
