Story
Emma is approximately 4 years old and is a very sweet girl. She loves women ... almost too much. She will guard women from the men in their lives if you let them. Emma's ideal home would be with a single woman or several women living together that would like a dog for protection. She's very loving, walks great on a leash, is housebroken and is a general all-around good dog except for her dislike of men and her tendency to guard her person from other people (especially men). If someone is willing to work with Emma's guarding tendencies and help her to learn when its appropriate and when it isn't, she would make a great BFF.. If you are interested in Emma, please give Scarlett at call at 317-538-2805. ##1667765##

Story
Daisy is a fearful girl who was part of a hoarding situation. She enjoys snacks and running in and out of the dog door. She does not like petting or cuddling, but she does like chin scratches and giving her foster mom nose kisses early in the morning. Daisy does not walk well on a leash, so she'd do best in a home with a fenced in yard.  She does not want a home with children as she will try to bite their ankles. Daisy's ideal home is very quiet and willing to be patient with her issues. She prefers someone who doesn't mind putting her away when guests show up so that she doesn't try to bully them into leaving as soon as they arrive. She is not 100% housebroken, but will use potty pads when inside. Daisy's adoption fee is $25. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. ##1494404##

Story
Potato  is a 13 year old chihuahua who came to our care when her owner had to go live in a nursing home. Potato is a very easy girl to love and care for. She mostly sleeps and pops up every now and then looking for some butt scratches.  She loves snuggling under the covers at night sleeping with her humans and would love to find a home where she can chill and get those butt scratches on the regular for her remaining years. She does have a collapsing trachea which is common in some smaller dogs and takes cough syrup as needed to help her breath when it acts ups. She also has a tumor on her belly that is nonmalignant but that can't be safely removed due to her trachea issue. All in all though, she's a sweetheart. Her foster family calls her their little "sweet potato." If you'd like to spoil this sweet senior with the good life, please submit an application of interest by clicking the Adopt button under her photo on our website at www.4pups.org. Potato's adoption fee is $25 as she's considered hospice since her trachea issue prevents her from any surgical medical procedures that she might need in the future and also from getting that dental she really needs. Her adopter must be ok with stinky breath. :)    ##1860420##

Story
Skittles is a lovely 17lb, approximately 2 years old,  Scottish terrier mix. Skittles loves, loves, loves her humans and is very much a velcro dog in that she wants to always be where her humans are. She can be a tiny bit skittish when meeting new people or other dogs, but quickly becomes very friendly. She walks well on a leash and has a very moderate energy level except for first thing in the morning and the last thing at night before bed. Her energy at the start and end of the days is frenetic and can be a bit overwhelming as she's super intense. However, if you just give her 5-10 minutes of your time and pet and love on her she will chill and become a "normal" terrier again. She is a very typical terrier in that she's quite energetic. She loves to go for walks and to play fetch. She can ocassionally get a little mouthy and for this reason, a home with younger kids is likely not ideal; however, she adores all children. Skittles is MOSTLY housebroken with a doggie door, but often needs encouragement first thing in the morning and last thing at night to go outside. She's not always able to hold it overnight and won't tell you she needs to go out, but will use potty pads if available..She has been a challenge to potty train and will most certainly have accidents in her new home. 'Skittles' adoption fee is $250. She is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations, has had a veterinary wellness check and is spayed and microchipped. Interested adopters can submit an application for her via our website at www.4pups.org. Click the Adopt button under her photos and that will take you to the application. ##1981796##

Story
Is your dog looking to adopt a dog for companionship? Rob would love to be your dog's best buddy. He would love them and squeeze them and snuggle them and spend every moment of the day with them and the best part is that he would not bother you at all. It would be like you still only had one dog! Rob is the absolute perfect gift for the dog in your life that desperately needs a friend. Since we know your dog isn't made of money, we'd be happy to trade for a couple of good chew bones, or a nice 40lb bag of good quality dog food, or even a nice bolster pet bed. You can let your dog know that we are open for negotiations. In case you didn't get the inference, Rob does not care for humans. He will hang out in the same room with you and will even sleep in your bed if you allow him too. What he won't do is snuggle with you, let you pet him or get leashed up easily. He is 100% a dog's dog and is perfectly happy with his doggie besties. However, HE DOES NOT PLAY. He just likes to cuddle with his dog buddies. Rob is not completely housebroken but will accompany his doggie friends out to do his business. In all honesty, his only redeeming characteristic is how cute he is. He has been in his current foster home for nearly two years and still barks at his foster mom as if he has never met her before in his life.  Rob will need someone willing to foster to adopt to make sure his adopter can handle his idiocinracies so anyone looking to adopt him needs to be within a 2-hour drive of Cloverdale indiana. Rob cannot easily be leashed, so a home with a fenced in yard would be best. Rob needs an adopter that is up to the challenge of having a dog that may not ever like you. Are you the needle in the haystack we are looking for? If so, please contact Scarlett at 317-899-8797. If you'd like to find out more about Rob on your dog's behalf, give us a call at (317) 899-8483 ##1494427##
