Story
Marina is 50% Dalmation/50% Bluetick coonhound and was adopted from us by a couple 4 years ago as a puppy and was recently returned by her owners when they moved. We also took in Marina's "sibling":Saylor, who is partially deaf. The two girls are extremely close and while a home for them together would be amazing, we will consider separating them. Marina weighs 80lbs and is a big, solid girl. She is very loyal to her person and is 90% a very good dog. She does like to put inappropriate things in her mouth and she gets a little nervous in new situations and will bark at guests coming in to the home, but she warms up quickly. Marina had multiple hot spots when she came to us, but we have switched her to a chicken-free diet and had her and she is not currently having any issues. She was said to have had extreme anxiety in her original home, but we have not seen any signs of that in her foster home. In fact, we have weaned her successfully off the anxiety medication her owners had her on and have noticed no real changes in her personality. She definitely needs some leash training as that obviously was overlooked by her previous adopters. She is part hound so its 50/50 if she listens when you call her or not. However, she is dog and people friendly and would thrive in an active home. Anchor is chipped, up to date on shots and spayed. If adopted on her own, her adoption fee is $200. If adopted with Saylor Grace the adoption fee for both together is $300. ##794626##

Story
Saylor is a very sweet, partially DEAF, 3-yr old, full-blooded Dalmation who weighs around 60 lbs.. She is not completely deaf but is more what could be considered as "hard of hearing." Saylor came into the resuce with Marina Anchor and the two are very attached. While a home for them together would be fantastic, we are willing to consider separating them. Saylor is currently on a chicken-free diet as she's prone to hot spots and the chicken-free food seems to keep them at bay. Saylor needs an ACTIVE owner who would like to take an interest in training her - something her former owners neglected. She is dog friendly and enjoys toys. She can be destructive and acts more like a 6-month old puppy than a 3-year old adult dog. Saylor is crate trained and it is recommended that she be in a crate when unable to be supervised.. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Since Saylor does have multiple issues that could make it difficult for her to adjust in a new home we are seeking adopters within the Central Indiana area and are not considering out of state adoptions at this time.. Saylor Grace's adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip and recent vet well visit if adopted singlely. If adopted along with Marina Anchor the adoption fee for both together is $300. ##2136378##

Story
Diego is an absolute doll!!! His favorite thing to do is snugglng and he will give the absolute biggest hugs (for a little guy that is). Diego came to us when his owner passed away. He is 15 years old but he doesn't act like an old dog at all. He's very spry and likes jumping around the room on the furniture. He has a vet visit on 11/20 and will be neutered and microchipped at that time. I'm guessing he's about 8lbs but will update after his vet visit. He is housetrained. His only really "flaw" is that he barks - typical chihuahua - when new people come to visit or when there are sudden noises. The good news is that he doesn't bark just to hear himself bark. He gets along well with other dogs and likely with cats, although he hasn't been cat tested. Diego is just an amazing little dude and would make someone an excellent companion. Diego's adoption fee is $100 and he will be available for adoption 11/23/2024. If interested in meeting him, please visit our website at www.4pups.org and click the Adopt button under his photo to submit your application of interest. ##2231252##

Story
Cheeto is a nearly 3-year old long-haired chihuahua mix. He came to our rescue after his owner passed away. He can be a little shy at first but once he warms up he's a big lover boy. Cheeto is super playful and just an all around fun, little love bug. He enjoys snuggle time and gets along well with other dogs. He has not been around cats (that we are aware of) but we doubt he'd have any issues getting along with them. He's a pretty easy going fella. Cheeto has been aruond children ages 4-8 and did well with them. Toddlers might be a bit too intimidating for him as he prefers calm over busyness. Cheeto's adoption fee is $200 and includes a vet wellness check, age-appropriate vaccinations, neuter and microchip. If interested in meeting/adopting Cheeto, please visit our website at www.4pups.org and click the Adopt button under his photo to complete an application. ##2231460##

Story
Miracle Margo, our longest resident, had moved to a new foster home and was acting as if she could get along with some dogs. She was (and still is) a sunbather that was co-existing with chill dogs but a JEALOUS streak reared its ugly head when attention was being given out. So she packed her belongings and is back in her original foster home with not as many perks and privileges. She enjoyed the puppies at the temp foster too, as her foster mothering skills were in full bloom. This 3-4 yr old girl just needs a family of her own and to be the center of attention, as in no other pets. She wants to be your companion, sunbathe, get belly rubs, and to play tug. Her adoption fee is $250 and she is fostered in Roachdale. Contact Terry to meet this doll 317-946-1316 The one photo shows how far she has come as she was pulled from a shelter after being found as an emaciated stray. She had to have intestinal surgery to clear debris out of her GI due to her rummaging through trash to survive, thus it was a Miracle that she pulled through in her dire condition. Now she needs the perfect family to cherish her and keep her safe.
