Once she feels safe, her gentle, loving personality shines through. These dogs are looking for a family who will give them the happy, comfortable life they deserve. I arrived at the shelter just before Christmas, and I wasn`t in very good shape. A kind person took me into their home and immediately contacted the shelter to see if there was room for me. At just 34 pounds, I was dangerously underweight, and the shelter staff wasn`t sure I was going to make it. To make matters worse, I tested positive for a tick-borne disease.Thankfully, I was in the right place. With lots of nutritious meals, medication, and plenty of loving care, I slowly but surely regained my strength. Today, I`m healthy, feeling fantastic, and back in tip-top shape!My journey hasn`t been easy, but it has shown just how resilient I am.
