Story
Meet Muppet! This handsome 4-year-old boy is ready to steal hearts and find his true forever home! Muppet originally came to us as a stray in 2023 and, through no fault of his own, has found his way back into our care. Now, he’s on the lookout for the perfect family to love him forever. Muppet is a playful guy who lives for a good game of tug-of-war! By day two in foster care, he had already convinced his foster brother to join in on the fun (they’re still trying to decide who the champion really is ). He would be happiest in a home with another playful dog buddy, though he’d do well as a solo pup too if he gets plenty of playtime and love. When he’s not busy showing off his tug-of-war skills, Muppet enjoys leisurely walks, but his true happy place? A backyard where he can run, stretch out, and soak up the sunshine&#226&#152&#128&#239&#184&#143—so we’re making a fenced yard a must-have for this sweet guy.    Muppet is up to date on vaccines, has had recent bloodwork which the vet was very happy with, and is all set to start his new chapter. Like many Shar Pei, he does have some allergies, so he’ll need routine skin and ear care—but he’s a champ about it. He’s proven to be trustworthy in the house (not a fan of the kennel, but who can blame him?). While he hasn’t been around much kids in foster care, we don’t see any concerning behavior and believe he’d do just fine with dog-savvy children. He did meet a few kiddos on Halloween and loved them! &#226&#156&#168 Muppet has so much love to give and is ready to bring joy, laughter, and sunshine to his forever family. Could that be you?&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 He is currently fostered in Rapid City, South Dakota Please visit www.peipeople.com to fill out an application   December 4, 2025, 3:06 pm

Fill out the form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it.  Howdy! I'm Boji! I came to Dakota Dachshund Rescue with my brother Gabe and my momma Gigi. I am a sweet boy, a bit shy at first with new people. I lived the first three months of my life in a breeding facility so I am just learning I can run in my foster mom's fenced yard and being allowed in the house. I do not walk on a harness and leash and I do not know recall commands so I do require a fenced yard. Do you have the love, patience and time for a puppy? I am a LOCAL adoption only until I am neutered at 5 1/2-6 months of age. I am almost 4 months old, I weigh _____ pounds, my adoption fee is $600 plus sales tax $27=$627   My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, 3 DHPPL, Bordetella, neuter, and microchipping.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 30, 2025, 6:54 pm

She had her spay as well as bilateral inguinal hernias repaired and a very large lypoma resected, she woke up very sore :( Her dental went well, she did have two big premolars. Anna will go back for a recheck with Dr Paul on Nov 17th.Hi! I'm Anna. I am a recent breeder release girl just beginning to learn to live life as a house pet. I am finally settling in and realizing my foster mom is here to take care of me and won't hurt me. I love having freedom in my foster mom's fenced yard, love being in the house and sitting next to my foster mom on the couch. This journey to become a house pet is a lot! Wearing a harness, dragging a leash around so my foster mom can catch me. A fenced yard is a must for me. I have to be followed around a cornered in order for my foster mom to pick me up. I need to be spay, have bilateral inguinal hernias repaired as well as a much needed dental. Do you have time and patience to help me continue on this journey to become a house pet? I am 6 yrs old, I weigh about 12 pounds, my adoption fee is $350 plus sales tax $15.75=$365.75     My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, spay, bilateral inguinal hernia repair, dental and microchipping.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2025, 2:54 pm
