Story

Lulu is an amazing 3 yrs old young lab , full of love, life and energy. I adopted from the Human Society in Sioux City when she was 3 months old. She enjoys running around, playing with her toys, going for walks and car rides. She likes laying on the couch and watching TV. She loves people and children, always wants to be petted and to play, but sometimes prefer not to be touched but sit by herself. She loves dog food and some times home made food. She loves soft and chewable treats. She loves her frisbee, gets so excited when we go to the park to play with it. Lulu is very shy sometimes, jumpy when startled. She loves playing with dogs, i have taken her to a dutch dogs day care and she thrives well with other dogs. She is cage trained. 30 minutes after she eats, she will signal you using her bell on the door that she has to potty. I would love for her to have a family that loves dogs, have a huge home with a backyard for her to run around and feel free.

He’s a true sweetheart—loyal, gentle with people he trusts, and an absolute gentleman who loves nothing more than cuddles, belly rubs, and being the center of your world. Not suitable for: Homes with cats, small dogs, or very young children. He loves children, but can be a bit hyper for the younger ones. He has been around cats as a puppy, if he has a present owner, a slow introduction might be possible. He has anxiety with car rides and stairs.

'Sammy came to DDR because his owner passed away His family felt he needed an adult-only home, as he has not been socialized with children to their knowledge. He has lived with multiple adults at different times. Sammy has lived in harmony with dogs of all sizes as well as cats. He has never shown food or toy aggression, but he does bark a lot when he first meets people. However he seems to chill out when he has more consistent socialization. He thrives when he gets to go outside for a few walks a day or just hang out in your yard, and then come inside to be your snuggle buddy. His favorite thing was cuddling with his mom in her recliner under a blanket. Sammy is still overweight. His foster dad is working on that with almost daily walks and portion control on food. Sammy has learned to use the doggy door but still chooses to use the puppy pads sometimes. If the pads aren't out he will just use the floor, however Sammy was in boarding for a month and a half after his owner passed away so he is acclimating to being back in a home setting...and a whole new home setting and different schedule then what he was used to.Sammy has never told his foster dad he has to go out. Once he learned the dog door, he goes out about 75% of the time.He didn't bark for most of the first week. Now that he has started to settle in, he barks allot.' This little man has been through so much since the first part of February when his momma passed away The Rule 3 3 3 definitely apply for him Do you have the love, time and patience to heal this little man's heart? He will adjust, it's just going to take him a bit. Sammy is a 10 yr old chiweenie, he is a bit overweight but he is working on it.
