Story
Parker is a Male Aussie/Terrier mix DOB: June of 2025 Adoption fee: $200 We are playful pups. We are building confidence each week with increasing one-on-one time with helpful volunteers. Parker is a lovely boy who loves people. Paige might be a little shyer at first, but once she is comfortable in her environment, she is a typical rambunctious pup. Payton is a pistol who has a mind of his own but is very affiliative. Paxton is the voice of the group and has a knack for dramatic scenes. All are very smart and quick learners. These pups would truly be best with a physically fenced-in yard. It may be required. They are not fit for apartment life. Pending a meet and greet, we may do well with another dog, and children 8 years or older (possibly younger pending previous experience). We have not been around cats, with a slow positive introduction and a little obedience training, we should be fine with a dog-savvy cat. These pups will make a great companion for the right situation. We should be medium-sized when fully grown.

Story
Demi Demi is a Female Hound mix DOB: May of 2025 Adoption fee: $200 I am your perfect mix of goofy, playful, and downright adorable! I love to play and run around with other dogs; I also love playing with toys! I am silly and goofy; I am sure to make you laugh! If I am not playing, running, or taking a nap, then I am sure to be nose to the ground, and I will be sure to follow it anywhere and everywhere! I am still working on my confidence, but it is getting better every day! I am loving and sweet; I enjoy all the pets and love! I should do well in a home with another dog, pending a meet and greet. I have not been tested with cats at this time. I am working on my leash training and getting better every time. I am recommended with a fenced yard as I love to put my nose to the ground and wander. I would do my best with older children who respect my boundaries. I am still young, and I can’t wait to keep learning and growing! I am a sweet and silly girl looking for my forever home, could that be you?

Darby Darby is a Female Hound mix DOB: May of 2025 Adoption fee: $200 I am your average puppy, full of energy and love! I love to run and play with other dogs; toys are also really fun (especially when I can destroy them!) I am a bundle of love; I love all pets and attention. I am goofy and silly, and I will be sure to make you laugh. If I am not running, playing, or taking a nice nap, I can promise you my nose is to the ground, and I am following it everywhere and anywhere! I am sweet and energetic, the perfect mix! I should do well in a home with another dog, pending a meet and greet. I have not been tested with cats at this time. I am not a fit for an apartment. I am recommended with a fenced yard, as I tend to stick my nose to the ground and wander! I would do best with older children who respect my boundaries. I am growing in confidence each day! I am still quite small, I am a lovely girl looking for my forever home, could that be you?

Story
Ursla Ursla is a female Husky/Shar Pei/Retriever mix. (breed) DOB: April of 2022 Adoption fee: $100.00 I am a beautiful girl. My confidence with new people, places and things is low. The only memory I have is of being at the shelter. I love it here, but I deserve more. I enjoy going for walks with my volunteer friends. My favorite toys are big bouncy/squeak balls. I play well with other dogs, pending personalities. I am not a leader. I do like to give hugs to my favorite staff members and sometimes we enjoy a dance when our favorite songs come on the radio. I can be quite the character at times. I will need a physically fenced yard. I have never been around young children; I am recommended for older children. Not sure about cats, I see them all the time and may be fine with a cat in my home if we are introduced slowly. I would be a great companion for someone who just wants a dog to be grateful to see them at the end of a long day. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! Story
Yzma Yzma is a female Husky/Shar Pei/Retriever mix. DOB: April of 2022 Adoption fee: $100.00 I am shy to new people. I have a quirky personality and get all giddy when I am nervous or uncomfortable in situations. I would do my best with someone with rescue experience. I have not been exposed to much other than what is at the shelter. I have not had the best experiences meeting other dogs. I would be best as the only dog in my home or may adjust with an older dog that really doesn’t care if I am there or not. I will be afraid of cats but may adjust to a dog savvy cat using a slow positive introduction. I will need a physically fenced yard at my new home. I would adjust better to a quiet home. I walk well on a leash and as I grow my confidence with my new family I will enjoy exploring new places. I am a very loving girl and deserve a chance to find out what it's like to be in a home. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! Story
Sid Terrier/Cattle dog mix. DOB: April of 2022. Adoption fee: $100.00 I have come a long way since first entering the shelter. I enjoy going for walks with my volunteer friends. They love my quirky personality, and rave about what a good boy I am. I am not a big boy; about beagle size and I will not get any bigger. I do well with other dogs, pending personalities, my favorites are the ladies, especially the larger ones, the bigger the better is my motto! I can be a bit stubborn when I’m not ready to come in, I will require a physically fenced in yard. I need a little work on taking treats gently. I love to play with toys and after a nice long walk I enjoy a nice rub down. I do not show the cats much interest. I may be okay with a dog savvy cat, slow intro and use caution until we are better acclimated to one another. Children in my home should be 12 years and older. I have been overlooked for quite a while and I have so much to offer a family, I just need someone to take a chance on me. If you are interested in being my adopter, please visit my shelter's website and complete the adoption application that is available there! HSSCM.org you can find the applications under the "adoptions" tab.
