Story
Have you ever wanted a lab mix that was actually the size of a lap dog? Or a dog with a tail curlier than an Arby’s curly fry? If so, Frisco might be the little man for you!Not much is known about Frisco’s life before coming to the shelter, but he found himself in a shelter in San Benito, Texas hoping someone would take him home. Project Hope scooped up this cutie and got him into a foster home in Texas before he made his way to Michigan.Frisco is an extremely sweet and affectionate boy who loves to be cuddled up next to you whenever possible. Although he is small and young, he is very brave and curious. Frisco is always eager to try new things even when he is feeling a bit timid, especially when he has the encouragement of either treats or confident dogs to help him along the way. You can often find him curled up in the sun porch basking in the sun, on the couch or dog bed cuddled up, or sniffing around the yard. His foster family loves how quiet and calm he is but also his never-ending enthusiasm to enjoy each day.Frisco is also an intelligent boy who already knows sit, wait, and come; is fully crate trained and potty trained, fully vetted; and walks extremely well on a leash. He currently lives with 2 other foster siblings, one who is similar to his size and a larger dog. His favorite thing is when they all get the zoomies and chase each other around the yard. Although his current Michigan foster does not have cats, Frisco has done well with cats when he was with his Texas foster.Frisco is 33 pounds and about 9 months old and will be an amazing addition to someone’s family. If you have any questions or concerns about him, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Story
Noelle is a sweet little wild child with lots of puppy energy! She loves to run around in the snow, plays with her foster brothers constantly, and snuggle up after a long day of play. The vet believes she is around 11 months old and we think potentially shepherd, lab, and maybe some husky. She weighs about 40 lbs. Her eyes are blue and brown! We aren’t entirely sure what her past looked like prior to Project Hope, though we do know that she has some bullet shrapnel in her pelvis. This has not stopped her from being active and she doesn’t appear to have any trauma from it. She loves everyone she has come into contact with! For a girl with a past we can only imagine, she is such a playful and happy girl!Noelle would be a wonderful dog for anyone looking for an intelligent and fun puppy! She makes her foster parents laugh daily with her goofy quirks.Great with other dogs, fosters have mentioned she leaves the cats alone and doesn’t seem to bother them. Hasn’t been tested with children, she has a shepherd play style and enjoys herding (we have been working on this and it is improving).Noelle is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350.00. If you would like more information about Noelle, please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Story
Meet Skymir!Your 40-pound bundle of joy, wagging his way into your heart!Hi there! I’m Skymir — a lively, 1.5-year-old male black Lab mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never quits. I weigh about 40 pounds and carry a perfect mix of sweetness, smarts, and silliness. My story began in a southern shelter, where I ended up all alone as a puppy. It was a scary time, but a kind-hearted rescuer saw something special in me and gave me a second chance. Now I'm thriving in Michigan (near Coldwater!) and looking for my forever family to share all of life’s adventures. Here’s what you’ll love about me:* I’m playful, affectionate, and full of wiggles—especially when I see my foster siblings!* Give me a good, hard bone and I’m in heaven.*Squirrel-chasing? Yes, please!* I’m a smart cookie who learns fast, especially when treats are involved.* I love cozy mornings in my crate and sunbathing on warm afternoons. While I can be a little shy at first, I warm up quickly with a gentle touch and kind words. I’m working on my manners (sometimes I get too excited and jump up), but with a little patience and consistency, I’m learning every day.My dream home?A fenced-in yard would be perfect for all my zoomies and sniffari adventures! I’d do great with another playful pup or an active family who wants a loyal companion. I'm happiest when I'm with my people or four-legged friends—I'm not a fan of being alone for too long.If you're looking for a sweet, energetic buddy who will love you endlessly and make every day brighter, I might just be your guy.Let’s make forever happen — come meet me and fall in love!I’m fully-vetted, housebroken, crate-trained and ready to join your family with an adoption fee of $300. Questions? Shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to make me a part of your family? Fill out an application by visiting our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.March 9, 2026, 5:54 pm
