Story
Meet Skymir!Your 40-pound bundle of joy, wagging his way into your heart!Hi there! I’m Skymir — a lively, 1.5-year-old male black Lab mix with a heart full of love and a tail that never quits. I weigh about 40 pounds and carry a perfect mix of sweetness, smarts, and silliness. My story began in a southern shelter, where I ended up all alone as a puppy. It was a scary time, but a kind-hearted rescuer saw something special in me and gave me a second chance. Now I'm thriving in Michigan (near Coldwater!) and looking for my forever family to share all of life’s adventures. Here’s what you’ll love about me:* I’m playful, affectionate, and full of wiggles—especially when I see my foster siblings!* Give me a good, hard bone and I’m in heaven.*Squirrel-chasing? Yes, please!* I’m a smart cookie who learns fast, especially when treats are involved.* I love cozy mornings in my crate and sunbathing on warm afternoons. While I can be a little shy at first, I warm up quickly with a gentle touch and kind words. I’m working on my manners (sometimes I get too excited and jump up), but with a little patience and consistency, I’m learning every day.My dream home?A fenced-in yard would be perfect for all my zoomies and sniffari adventures! I’d do great with another playful pup or an active family who wants a loyal companion. I'm happiest when I'm with my people or four-legged friends—I'm not a fan of being alone for too long.If you're looking for a sweet, energetic buddy who will love you endlessly and make every day brighter, I might just be your guy.Let’s make forever happen — come meet me and fall in love!I’m fully-vetted, housebroken, crate-trained and ready to join your family with an adoption fee of $300. Questions? Shoot an email to projecthoperescue@gmail.com. Ready to make me a part of your family? Fill out an application by visiting our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.March 9, 2026, 5:54 pm

Story
MEET PORTER!  PLEASE SHARE TO HELP HIM FIND HIS FOREVER HOME! This 66-pound goofball is Porter, a 2-year-old Pitbull mix that weights 66 lbs. Porter has a giant heart and an even bigger personality! If it squeaks, bounces, rolls, or can be chased, Porter is ALL IN. Balls and dog toys are basically his love language. Porter is playful, silly, and loves a good rough-and-tumble play session, but he’s also incredibly smart and eager to learn. After spending far too long waiting at the shelter, his luck finally turned around when RPSM stepped in to help him start a new chapter. He’ll be heading into training on March 20th so he can be the very best boy for his future family. The best part? Porter does great with other dogs and kids, and he brings a ton of fun energy wherever he goes. This sweet boy has waited long enough… now he just needs his person. A yard, some toys, and a family to love would make his whole world complete. Could Porter be the missing piece to your family? Porter is neutered and UTD on all their vaccines, HW, FT, and have a microchip of their own. RPSM recommends children 6 years and older.  Porter will require a fenced in yard, either physical or underground. If you are interested in adopting Porter please go to www.rpsm.org to fill out an application. Porter’s adoption fee is $300. ##2671407##
