Story
Georgia is a sweet, active and playful female hound mix who is about a year old. She had been abandoned by her previous owner before we took her in. She is crate trained and potty trained, though she has an issue with marking in a certain spot in our house (she has never defecated in the house or soiled her crate). She does struggle with anxiety, which manifests itself in marking and excessive barking at people or dogs she sees outside. She is sweet and attentive to our toddler and has never been aggressive, but is still learning proper boundaries. She gets along with our other dog, but would do best with another dog who can match her high energy level. Her anxiety issues unfortunately cause her to require more in depth training then me and family are currently able to give. She has a lot of potential and would do great with an owner that is really able to focus on her training and keep her active. She is spayed and has gotten all her shots and tests within the last two months.

Story
in Pontiac, MI This handsome young man is Sutter. He is a 2.5 yeara old black tri male Aussie/Bernese blend. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations, on preventatives and microchipped. Sutter is a very silly boy that likes to play fetch with is people. His foster mom has nicknamed him blockhead and says that he's a bed hog as he likes to take up a lot of the bed and likes to sleep on his person as well. Sutter needs a fenced in yard so that he can play lots of fetch. He will take chase without a fence. He is great with other dogs and cats so a playmate for Sutter would be awesome. He does not like the crate, but is not destructive in the home. He will bark at the TV if he sees animals. Sutter does have a seizure disorder but takes medication that is very effective. As long as he stays on his meds he'llbe great. If Sutter sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee to register and transfer to his new owner.

Story
We are looking to re-home our rare purebred white Siberian Husky with blue eyes. Koda is a loyal and very loving dog who would be the perfect addition to the right home. However, with our second child on the way we simply will not have enough time to dedicate to a breed as active as his. As much as it gives us a heavy heart, we want to find him loving and caring owners who can give him the more active life he craves. He does well with other dogs, is great with our one son that is 2 years old and has tons of energy even at the age of 7. He enjoys walks, going on runs and playing with other dogs (big and small).

Story
Doesn't get along with family dog or other dogs. Marks his territory on a regular bases. Needs his anal gland expressed once a month. We give him a Glandex, once a day in his food. He loves people and sits on our lap and sleeps with us. He is a barker. I use a bark collar when necessary. He doesn't like that collar. I feel bad for him but it's the only way to control his barking, outside. The collar has been my last result for controlling his barking. He is up on all his shots. We use Patterson Vet

Australian Cattle Dog German Shepherd Dog

Female, 10 mos
East Lansing, MI
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Caragh needs a secure yard to allow her to run free. My yard doesn't allow a full fence to be installed and she finds ways to escape. I need to have her on a long lead when we are in the yard. This doesn't let her run and play like she should. Caragh is a 10 month old puppy. She is house trained and getting good at commands and walking on a leash. She is shy at first but warms up quickly. Her first home had 2 young children and she was fine with them. She has also always lived with other dogs and has gone to the dog park. While I could keep her I know that there is a better family out there. She deserves to be able to play untethered. She is smart and happy by nature and may be good with agility training. She is spayed, up to date on her shots and the vet says she is a healthy puppy. I know she has cattle dog in her by the freckles and her personality. Some of her coloring looks like a German Shepherd but I can't say for sure what else she is. Are you who she needs?

Story
I write this post with such a heavy heart. I need to re-home my mixed breed dog, Natalie (2.5 years old), that I have had since she was 12 weeks old. Natalie is incredibly loving and affectionate but is not getting along with my smaller, older resident dog, a chihuahua, that I adopted 10 years ago. My decision is to keep the chihuahua, as she came into my life first, is not very friendly, and has medical issues. It is not my wish to turn my back on either dog, and this is a terribly painful decision. Natalie is so friendly and does great with dogs of her own size. She would make a family a great pet/companion. She has never shown aggression towards people, but to minimize any risk, I think she would be most successful with older children and adults, as an only dog, or with a dog of similar size. She is not cat tested.
