Story
Scooby-Doo is a big, strong, and muscular boy with a personality just as bold as his build! He’s looking for an adopter who understands large, powerful dogs and can confidently keep up with him. Scooby-Doo thrives with someone who can provide clear guidance and structure, helping him be the very best version of himself. This handsome goofball is not only fun-loving, but he’s also a smart pup who already knows several commands, including sit, down, and shake. He loves to show off his skills—especially if there are toys involved! Scooby-Doo is all about playtime, whether he’s tossing toys around or getting into a spirited game of tug-of-war with his favorite rope. When he first meets new people, Scooby-Doo can come in with lots of excitement and energy, but once he’s had a chance to burn it off, he settles down nicely and shows his more relaxed side. And when he’s tired? Get ready to laugh—he’ll plop himself down, completely sprawled out, and drift off into a nap, often accompanied by his adorable (and hilarious) snoring and snorting sounds. Scooby-Doo is potty trained and does well with a routine, but he will need continued work on leash manners, as he can be a strong puller. With consistency and patience, he has great potential. He does best with a confident, experienced handler who can match his energy and provide the leadership he needs. He would do best in a home without small animals, as we have noticed he may have a prey drive. Scooby-Doo also loves being around people and can be quite vocal when left alone, as he truly enjoys companionship. He was kenneled very frequently before coming to us, so he can be anxious about going back into a kennel and may resist once he’s out—which, honestly, who can blame him? If you’re looking for a playful, entertaining, and loyal companion who will keep you laughing, keep you active, and always want to be by your side, Scooby-Doo might just be your perfect match!

Story
Meet your future shadow, snuggle buddy, and resident goofball—all wrapped up in one big, lovable package. This handsome Newfoundland–Lab mix is a gentle giant in the making. He’s on the larger side and still figuring out just how big he really is, which sometimes means he gets a little extra enthusiastic—especially when he’s excited to see his favorite people. (Translation: he may greet you with a joyful hop or two.) With a bit of continued guidance, he’ll grow into his size beautifully—but for now, his happy energy is part of his charm. Underneath that big, bouncy exterior is a truly good boy. He already knows his basic commands and is house trained, so he’s off to a fantastic start. He’s eager to please and loves being part of whatever you’re doing—especially if it involves him being the center of attention. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be near you at all times, he’s your guy. He thrives on companionship and absolutely adores people. Whether it’s lounging at your feet, soaking up pets, or tagging along on adventures, he just wants to be included. And when it comes to outdoor time, he’s all in—he loves going for walks and putting that nose to work, taking in every interesting scent along the way. If you’re ready for a big-hearted, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling (and on your toes), this sweet, slightly clumsy lovebug might be your perfect match.

Baxter may have come to us as a stray, but one thing is for certain—he is 100% good boy. While we don't know anything about his past, Baxter has quickly stolen the hearts of staff and volunteers with his sweet personality, happy attitude, and endless tail wags. Whether you're stopping by his kennel or spending time with him outside, Baxter is ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a big smile. He truly enjoys being around his humans and is happiest when he's included in the fun. One of Baxter's favorite activities is going for walks. He loves getting outside to explore, sniff around, and take in all the sights and smells of the world around him. Whether you're looking for a walking buddy for neighborhood strolls or someone to join you on outdoor adventures, Baxter is more than happy to tag along. Baxter is also showing that he is dog-friendly here at the shelter and has done well meeting other canine friends. He already knows commands like "sit" and "shake" and enjoys showing off his skills for treats and praise. He seems eager to learn and would likely enjoy continuing his training with his future family. Baxter's past may be a mystery, but his future is full of potential. He is the kind of dog who can brighten even the toughest day with a wag of his tail and his joyful spirit. If you're looking for a loyal companion, a walking partner, and a best friend who will greet you every day with unconditional love, Baxter is ready to fill that role.
