Story
I inquired Koda at 7 months, he will be 3 years old April 20th. He is a very energetic dog , he enjoys running, being outside, and the cold. We want him to go somewhere with a big yard, he loves going on walks and enjoys going on car rides! He is an indoor dog and kennel trained. I unfortunately can’t keep him due to having a new born. We noticed his behavior change being more jumpy and lunges towards the baby when she is playing or screaming. We have tried correcting him and haven’t had success. Unfortunately, she will be crawling soon and don’t want to risk anything.

Story
Gale has been with me since 2016. He’s 8 years old and has quite the personality, I. E. A lovable grimy old man. I cannot take care of him anymore. I have fell on harder times than ever before and he has to take regular allergy meds and has ear infections sometimes. He will be a lovable and loving companion to someone who is single, a couple, or a couple with kids older than 8. It’s not that he is a bad dog, just anxious sometimes always has been. He’s any old man- like to nap, has a routine, wants treats and like to be scratched behind the ears and his butt. He just needs a partner that I can not provide. Oh and he loves walks and blankets too.

Story
Hi I’m looking for a home for Jack and Charlie they are five year old brother and sister. Both are spayed and neutered and up-to-date on their shots. My boyfriend was recently in the last year diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Lewy body dementia. It’s a lot being a full-time caregiver taking care of the home and working full-time from the home. Jack and Charlie deserve someone that can love them play with them and take them for walks. Charlie the girls very sweet loves her toys would love to be someone’s lapdog. Jack is a little more reserved sometimes and takes more time to warm up to new people. Would like them to stay together if possible, but could be separated to good homes. They are used to being inside when it’s hot and cold but do stay outside in back fenced yard in good weather during day and coming in at night. They are sweet dogs and would love to be someones lap dog and go for walks. Please can you help me and take a chance on them. Adoption fee waived if I can see home/vet

Story
Approx. DOB:  11/13/22        Approx. Wht:101pds Adoption Fee: $ 300 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness!  Gertie is a gorgeous Newfoundland mix girl. She was released to us because her family could not get her to stay on their large country property.  Neighbor farmers did not appreciate her wandering into their fields and called her owners to complain. Her family felt it was best to find her another home.      Her foster family says she is awesome with other dogs of all sizes and her favorite is a small 12pd terrier mix. She  is housebroken   Doesn't like to go into a crate but will and is quiet while in there. She loves meeting new people and is really outgoing with her tail wagging the whole time. She is just learning how to walk on a leash.  She really is a people pleaser So she wants to learn new things and to make everyone happy around her. She is going to make some lucky family a wonderful companion. She was very hesitant the first few times getting in the vehicle to go places but she is slowly getting better about that.    Gertie has been wonderful in the home.  Very well behaved but be sure she has lots of chew toys of different textures because she is still a pup and will grow until she is 18 months old.    I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Approx. DOB:  11/3/23       Current Weight 23.6 lbvs. (as of  3/1 ):  Adoption Fee: $275 includes 1 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness. Flynn is a super cute puppy.  He loves other dogs and cats.  He also loves people of all ages.  The shelter where we got him had him listed as a mastiff American bulldog mix.  His smaller size seems to be more of a large size dog,  not x large.  We are only guessing. Flynn loves to snuggle up on our lap to get all the belly rubs he can.  He is truly a love bug just enjoying all human contact.  Flynn will be ready for his new home on March 9th so get your application in.  Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting/adopting one of them just fill out a application at www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch.
