Story

We are unfortunately needing to rehome my husband’s dog due to her biting our infant son. This is the first time she’s ever been aggressive in the 11 years my husband has had her (he got her when she was a puppy) and my son provoked her. She has been around multiple friends older children and we have never had an issue. She is a very loving and loyal girl. She attaches to one to two people and would make a good companion. She can be shy and timid around strangers and larger groups of people. She’s ok with other dogs and cats. We are saddened by this decision, but want to find her a good forever home. She has always been up to date on vaccines. She recently developed a bladder leakage condition, but the medication our vet prescribed is working great and is a daily pill.

Dear RescueOne Team (or appropriate rescue group), I am reaching out in a desperate situation regarding a 1-year-old female dog named Lady that I rescued after she was completely abandoned across the street from my home in Ozark, MO. She had been left alone in a house for at least two weeks with no care, food: • She requires core vaccinations (including rabies, which we have scheduled for this Friday at McClure Veterinary Clinic in Ozark). • She needs spaying (she appears to be pregnant). • Her front shoulder is severely damaged, likely requiring surgery or amputation. • She has a history of abuse and has never been contained, so she has lived her entire life running free on the streets. Is calm and relaxed in house and back yard. Despite these challenges, Lady is remarkably sweet, submissive, gentle, and sound-tempered. In spite of her trauma, abandonment, injury, and lack of medical care, she remains loving and non-aggressive.

With the right person she will be someone’s dream companion. So far from what i’ve seen she is good with kids, but hasn’t been around other animals yet so that is unknown. Nebula is the sweetest, goofiest little soul wit the biggest heart once she feels safe. She is loyal to her core, the type of dog that wants to be wherever her person is, whether thats curled up on the couch or following you room to room like your tiny shadow. She is playful n curious, still has that puppy spark, but she also loves her quiet time n soft blankets. Nebula bonds deeply, she doesn’t just live with you, she chooses you.

Listens to basic commands. High energy. Very sociable. Crate trained. Responds well to positive reinforcement. He was discovered with his siblings dumped in the woods. Our son named him after a famous dog in a popular videogame. We have tried to make a good home for him, high quality toys and food and vet care, however we do not have the continued income or the time to perfect his care. As much as we have tried to meet his needs, we live in an apartment, and he is a running/working dog. He absolutely adores other dogs and new people and does not hesitate to try to make friends. He needs somewhere he can play and run and not be cooped up. We will be very picky who he goes to as he is a special dog. Please consider making time in your life for Dogmeat!

14 week female puppy we have had in our home for 1 month, being rehomed due to our older dachshund not getting along with her. Super SMART puppy, almost completely potty trained! Loves fetching a ball (runs fast) and playing tug a war. Enjoys playing as much as cuddling. Sleeps through the night - crate trained but likes to nap on a people or next to other pets. Will chew bones or anything else she can find- including the cats, if they will not play with her. She enjoys a car ride too. Not well socialized to a lot of people so shy/scared acting when first meeting- but warms up - LOVES other dogs/lots of action in her home. Would prefer she go to a home where she does not have to be in a crate all day and would have a fenced yard as she likes to play and be outside. All puppy shots have been given. She will also need to be spade when old enough, we will not consider a home where she will be bred.

Story

Scooby has been cared for by me while his previous owner was looking for stable housing. His owner is very young with children and has decided he cannot keep him. Scooby is full of energy, loves being outside, and riding in the car! He is fully potty trained and has never had an accident. He is good with dogs, and had way too much interest in cats. We have cats and he did “ok” but he was always trying to follow/chase them and excited by them so keep that in mind. He does not do well with chickens/livestock and that is a main reason we cannot adopt him. He’s very sweet, beautiful eyes, one ear that folds down and one that stands up. Beautiful dog. He is great with kids, but may step on and knock younger ones over as he is big and still has a puppy attitude. He needs room to run, and regular daily exercise. He’s a very loyal, sweet boy.
