This handsome boy is Shane. He was labeled as a Pitbull and was facing euthanasia at animal control because of the BSL placed in Springfield. Thanks to our supporters, we were able to save Shane, giving him a second chance at life! Shane is now 11 years old. Shane makes it a point to enjoy every day to the fullest. He loves going for hikes at our Sanctuary and is always up for a new adventure. He knows basic commands and is a very smart boy! Shane just wants a place to call home and a human to call his own! Shane's currently enjoying life at the C.A.R.E. Sanctuary while waiting for his perfect home. All C.A.R.E rescue dogs are vaccinated, heart-worm tested, spayed/neutered, and dogs are microchipped! He is very smart and always ready to share a comforting paw when your feeling down. Nova enjoys nothing more than a good game of fetch with his caregivers. His devotion is unwavering, making him a perfect companion for those who understand his need for a quieter life style.
