Duke is a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees who I rescued after finding him in an abusive situation on the roadside. He came into my life when he needed love and safety, and he has given so much love in return. He is a big, affectionate, goofy boy who is protective, independent, and very much a true Great Pyrenees. He knows sit and some basic commands, but like many LGDs, he can be stubborn and selective about listening. He is still working on manners, jumping, marking, and boundaries, so he needs an experienced owner who understands the breed and is willing to continue training. He would do best with a secure fenced property and someone who has experience with large guardian breeds. I am looking for a loving, patient, committed home that understands Duke’s personality and will give him the structure, space, and care he deserves.

We got him almost 2 years ago. His birthday is June 16th. I would like him to have a fenced in yard and someone that has more time to care for him and train him. He loves to snuggle and sleeps next to my partner, but I'm allergic to him so I have been sleeping separately or I break out in serious hives. I have tried different medications, but it hasn't helped anything. I would like to be able to breathe better. We hate to let him go because he is a great dog, but I can't keep messing with my health. He is pretty strong as well, so someone that can be able to control him and teach him gently would be great. We love him and want him with people that will love him as well.

Meatball is a very sweet, loving dog. He loves belly rubs and chasing rabbits. He is a good hunter. This one needs a good fence with a good amount of space to run and play. He likes other dogs and is good with older kids that don’t pull tails or ears. My son and his 5 kids moved out of state and fostered their two dogs to us. I would love to adopt both together if possible. The other dog, Noodle, is a black wimreiner/lab mix - she definitely needs space to run. We are getting to a place where we travel and can’t care for them. They like a lot of attention and LOVE to be in the house next to us. Please don’t leave them out in the cold or heat. We have a doggie door and that is perfect for these two.
