These 2 dogs were dumped inside the city limits. Dogs are currently being housed in the city kennel. Both dogs are SUPER sweet and loving. All they want is to be loved. The city can only hold the dogs for 14-days and all the shelters in the area are full. Dogs are obviously sisters, but little else is known about their background. They appear to be about 25-30 pounds and about a year or less old.

Leo is a very sweet loving dog once he gets to know you. He loves playing fetch or whatever game you might decide to play. He is 4 years old and has lots of energy. Very smart, learns new tricks the first time(if you have a treat for him)

This poor guy was dumped near our home and we have had him since July. He is affection with children and dogs but not great with farm animals. We cannot keep him due to chasing the neighbors' calves.

Carousel's DOB is 08/12/2015 and she's a white and black Pit Bull Terrier. Carousel was adopted from the Haven as a puppy. She and that family had a wonderful bond. It is through no fault of her own that she is back at the sanctuary and looking for another home. She has been around children ages three and up and done well with them. She should not live with cats because she plays too rough around them, and she should meet any new dogs before going home with them. She is house trained and likes to sleep on couches. Her favorite toys are plastic bottles, stuffed animals, inflatable beach balls, and large sticks. The smaller the dog, the more Carousel likes it! Carousel does have allergies so will require specific care. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. Meet Ward! Ward is a gorgeous brindle Shepherd mix with an estimated DOB of 05/05/2016. He is a happy go lucky boy who is accustomed to leash walks, crate trained, likes other dogs (but we think he would do best in a home with older dogs or calm dogs. He doesn't seem to be a fan of smaller dogs). He doesn't like sharing food so would need to be fed separately. Ward knows commands, "sit", "up", and "shake". There is nothing this boy won't do for a treat. Although he isn't a pup anymore, this boy has quite the playful side, but he also enjoys being a couch potato. His ideal family will be gentle with him. He recently spent time in a foster home and does well with kids of all ages. He made himself right at home in her room in fact! He would be best in a home with no cats. All our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open from 9am-4pm, seven days a week.
