Good with dogs,
Story
A stray male puppy wandered into our yard on Monday evening, and we have been taking care of him since. Unfortunately, our current rescue has had past trauma with other dogs, and we have to remain a one dog household. She is terrified, won't eat, won't leave my side, all the not good things. We have reached out to every shelter and rescue you can think of. We have also posted on all of the Facebook pages, as well as our personal Facebook's trying to find him a home. I know he is safer & well fed in our garage than being on the street, but with our other dog's anxiety we cannot house him much longer. I know he wants to play with our dog, she is just too scared to join in. I am open to all options of finding him a safe place to go to until he finds his forever home, and I'm sad it can't be ours. He is sweet, playful, energetic, but also seems like he could be a couch potato. He loves to chew on bones and scarfs down all his food.

Story
Say hi to Luna! Luna is an adorable smooth fox terrier mix who is approximately 4-1/2 years old & was sadly bounced around a fair amount at a young age. She currently weighs about 35 lbs, is tall & wiry, & boy can she jump! This little gal can jump five to six feet in the air from a stand still, & she is also extremely fast! We think Miss Luna would make a great agility dog if someone was willing to put in the time to work with her. Still a youngster, she is very playful, full of energy & smart as a whip! Luna loves spending time in the yard, running & playing both with the other dogs & by herself. She has a great time playing ball all by herself at times! Luna is a very sweet girl who loves everybody, especially kids! She also gets along well with other dogs. She is not a dominant personality, but is also not super submissive; she falls pretty solidly in between & easily submitted to our pack elders, but she isn’t afraid to correct a dog she thinks isn’t acting right! Luna is food motivated & LOVES treats! She is housebroken, crate-trained, & good on leash. She is also fully vetted (spayed, de-wormed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on all vaccinations) including microchip with lifetime registration. This silly, affectionate little girl is sooo ready for her forever home after being in our rescue for over three years for no good reason! A securely fenced yard & a young playful sibling are required for Luna’s adoption. Adoption fee is $150. Verbal interview, home check, vet reference & adoption contract required.

Bo is a very sweet dog. He just turned 2. His owner passed away shortly after adopting him and I’ve fostered him for about a year now. He’s a big baby and love to snuggle up. I’m now moving out of the country and have to find him a forever home ASAP. He deserves a good home and lots of love.

Roxy is incredibly sweet and loving with everyone, I adopted her and if it werent for my other dog I would love to keep her. She is potty trained and has great recall when you call her. I take her for walks if leash with no issues even when she sees something she wants to chase. She loves playing outside, especially in water, but also enjoys laying on the couch getting petted. She is a very easy dog and just needs a good home. She does great with other animals and people so that shouldnt be an issue.

Story
Rover has been fostered by us for a few years. We have a crazy schedule and life and travel with work and he needs 24/7 attention! He is loving and wants to be right beside someone at all times. Such a lover! He has had anxiety we feel since we have had him because if he is kenneled while we work….. he gets upset. He is perfectly house trained no issues but he does sometimes chew on something if left alone. That’s why we don’t leave him out in house while we are gone. He have 2 cats and another large outside dog. He gets along with all of them but stays away from them as he acts scared. If several people are at our house he just wants to hide behind my husband on the couch or he wants to be right in our lap! He is the kindest sweetest dog and this makes us so sad to have to put him up for adoption but we are doing it for him. The older he gets the more anxiety he gets if he doesn’t get attention. He is a lover and a chubby lap dog! Lol. He is approx 10 years old.

Story
From Foster Mom: I would describe Martha as a beautiful work in progress. Martha is learning how to be a dog. Like a lot of dogs with her background, Martha is more comfortable with dogs than she is people. She wants to be more comfortable and is working very hard to get over her fear so that she can enjoy the scratches. She is still very timid about getting pets and snuggles, but she watches you closely and will follow you around. When she sees a yummy treat in foster mom's hands, she has learned to be brave and come close to get it, or sniff fingers when her foster siblings are getting pets and scratches. Martha enjoys bones and loves her food and treats. She wants to lay near you while she enjoys her favorite things. She is crate trained and potty trained. Martha will need a home where there are other small dogs. She will need to be in a home with only older teenaged children, or no children. Martha doesn’t like to be picked up, will run from you to avoid it, and special care has to be used to keep her from panicking when you have to. Over time, she will get more accustomed, but she needs to learn to trust you. Martha is super sweet but will need somebody that is willing to be patient with her because she is a work in progress. Great things about Martha 1. Loves to be close to her people 2. Curious and smart 3. Will have a beautiful golden coat once it grows out 4. Soulful eyes 5. She’s a survivor! MUST HAVE: Fenced yard and lots of patience for Martha to come around on her own terms and timeline.
