Story
We rescued Minnie from a young family, when she was approx 3 mo old. Do not actually know her breed.Minnie is now about 5 or 6 mo old. We are seniors in late 70s with limited skills and no fenced yard. Minnie is very energetic and needs younger people to train her and get her outdoors to burn that energy. She has learned a few basic commands such as sit and stay. She is highly food focused, eats her food in gulps. Is 85% indoor potty on a cloth reusable potty pad. Due to her high energy level we kept her in an indoor kennel so she could enjoy human interaction and allowed out several times throughout the day. She has No outdoor time. Not learned to walk on a leash, but whatever breed she is needs a yard and attention to run and sprint. She does not come when called by name. She deserves a home with fenced yard and patient family to show her a lifestyle she has not yet had the freedom to learn.Get to know her to see how much your contribution of love can change her life

Story
Okay, let’s talk about this sweet little girl🐾❤️ First of all… Nyla is ALL about the love. She wants nothing more than attention, affection and to be with her people. She is just a really sweet girl with a big personality. Now, let’s talk about her little quirks because this girl definitely has a few. 😂 She is a MASSIVE escape artist. I mean seriously… if there is a way out, she WILL find it. And if there isn’t a way out, she’ll probably figure one out. 😂 So her future home is going to need to be very secure and someone who understands that she cannot be trusted to stay where she’s supposed to just because there’s a fence. BUT.. with that said.. she has no reason to go anywhere if her people are around for her to love on.. just don’t leave her unattended. She does really well with other dogs, which is a huge plus. She loves having friends around and has been a good girl with the dogs here. She is also a but of a puller on a leash, so she’s going to need someone who is comfortable handling a puller and willing to work with her on those leash manners. And then there’s bath time… specifically washing her rear end. 😬😂 Let’s just say she has some VERY strong opinions about that. She isn’t a fan AT ALL. I would recommend no cats for her. And with kids, I think older children would be best simply because she is big enough and energetic enough that she could easily knock a little one over without ever meaning to. She really is such a sweet girl. She has her quirks, absolutely, but at the end of the day she just wants to be loved and be with her people. ❤️ Malamute Match: 🔵 Match 3 – Structure Needed Behavior Code: 🟡 H2 – Moderate She’s going to need a home that understands her, keeps her secure, works with her on her leash manners and gives her some structure. But if you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, affectionate Husky who will keep you on your toes… well, I think we may have found your girl. 😂🐾 Please apply today at decatorsplace.org

Story
Symeron is a 🔵 MATCH 2 — CLASSIC NORTHERN with a H1 — MINOR PAST CONCERN behavioral history. And before anyone sees H1 and worries — Symeron has NEVER had a bite history. ❤️ His H1 is specifically because he has shown resource guarding around food, toys? and even things like water. That's something we take seriously and want his future family to understand and manage, but it has never resulted in a bite or an attack on a person. Symeron is actually a very sweet, playful boy. He just needs a little help with his leash manners and, like most Malamutes, he has some opinions about how other dogs should behave. 😂 He generally does well with other dogs as long as they are calm, respectful and like his play style. He doesn't appreciate dogs jumping all over his back, so a dog who respects his personal space is going to be his best friend. ❌ Absolutely NO cats. So his Match 2 tells you he's still a pretty typical northern-breed placement, while his H1 tells you there is one specific behavior his family needs to understand. 🔵 MATCH 2 — CLASSIC NORTHERN H1 — MINOR PAST CONCERN H1 is for resource guarding — NOT a bite history. ❤️ Sweet & playful 🐕 Does well with respectful, compatible dogs 🦮 Needs some leash work 🍖 Guards food & resources, including water ❌ No cats 🚫 No bite history Symeron is a good boy with some very clear boundaries. 😂 Respect them, manage his resources properly, and you'll have one happy, playful Malamute who is ready to love his people. 🐾💙
