Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Bruce came to us as a stray and has always been timid when it comes to new people, but once he does warm up to you, he is just a sweetheart. He needs somebody willing to maybe visit a couple times or have one really long visit to get him comfortable, after that he becomes so loyal and loving it's amazing. I don't feel like he's been treated the best by humans, so somebody willing to understand that and just give him time to understand that humans can be good would be the best thing for him. Bruce just needs somebody devoted to loving and caring for him.

Story
Knox spent several months as a stray out in the county, but you would never know it by meeting him. This sweet boy absolutely loves people and is just as happy as can be. He’s super chill, easygoing, and such a cutie! Knox could use a little help learning some basic manners, but he’s food motivated, which should make training a breeze. He’s the kind of dog who just needs someone willing to show him a little love, patience, and devotion. Give Knox that, and we have a feeling he’ll be the happiest, best boy ever. If you’re looking for a sweet, laid-back companion who is ready to leave his stray days behind and start being someone’s best friend, Knox might just be your guy!

Story
Bandit was an owner surrender of a homeless man, so he is not potty trained, but he will not go in his inside area in the kennels! Which is always a great sign, he will need an experienced adopter because of this, having no manners, and him having absolutely no confidence. He just needs somebody patient and willing to work with him and he will be such a good boy. He is so sweet and once he warms up to you is so loyal, he's already doing much better with manners but will need patience when adjusting to a home.

Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
He’s been fighting with Malassezia dermatitis. The exact cause is yet to be determined but is seriously. It’s costed my a load of money trying to provide him a healthy diet and medicine to relieve the symptoms. He needs to see a specialist. He is believed to have . Superficial bacterial pyoderma / Staphylococcal dermatitis, . Canine atopic dermatitis (environmental allergy), Generalized Malassezia dermatitis (yeast dermatitis). He has severe separation anxiety on top of this. With my hours I won’t have the time to provide him the care he needs. Thus, he needs a home that can provide more around the clock attention and can follow the proper steps of treatment for his condition. He is a very gentle and sweet dog. He loves to sleep near you due to his anxiety. Great around kids and other people. He rarely if ever barks. He can tell you when it’s time to go potty ( has been an indoor dog his whole life), he loves going for walks, and given time will play with other dogs.

Salem, MO
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Rufus was abandoned and left in a home with 2 cats when his owners moved, but he didn't let that break his spirit. He is such a sweet boy and has a heart of gold, he just really needs a loving home. He is already such a good boy, but I know that in a home he would really flourish and become an even more amazing dog then he already is. If you're looking for a dog that needs a second chance Rufus could really use that chance!

Miniature Pinscher

Female, Puppy
Rolla, MO
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
House-trained,
Story
We rescued Minnie from a young family, when she was approx 3 mo old. Do not actually know her breed.Minnie is now about 5 or 6 mo old. We are seniors in late 70s with limited skills and no fenced yard. Minnie is very energetic and needs younger people to train her and get her outdoors to burn that energy. She has learned a few basic commands such as sit and stay. She is highly food focused, eats her food in gulps. Is 85% indoor potty on a cloth reusable potty pad. Due to her high energy level we kept her in an indoor kennel so she could enjoy human interaction and allowed out several times throughout the day. She has No outdoor time. Not learned to walk on a leash, but whatever breed she is needs a yard and attention to run and sprint. She does not come when called by name. She deserves a home with fenced yard and patient family to show her a lifestyle she has not yet had the freedom to learn.Get to know her to see how much your contribution of love can change her life
